The REAL Repertoire Of Soles

Post by F[uns]tylin' Eclectic » 23 Jul 2012 08:57

This thread is inspired by Chris Dean.

There is one other thread called "Repertoire Of Soles" and Chris posted
cd wrote:Aw man I opened this thread thinking it would be about all the different sole tricks everyone can hit.

I like hitting symp whirl out of flapper. But ending on the sole again is extremely hard and a little bit scary.
ANd since this topic of soles/flappers is near and dear to my heart, I decided to start a thread for it with Chris's idea.

My more interesting list:

Flapper> Singularity (Aka: Symp Whirling Flapper)
Singularity bs
Singularity> Pdx Torque
Capuchin bs (Flapper> Rev Swirling Flapper)
Flapper> Revstein Flapper (In socks, witnessed by most of PSU Jam)
Flapper> Ripstein Flapper (Socks, also witnessed by PSU)
Flapper> Zig-Zag Flapper (Socks, witnessed by John Goode)
Flapper> Pdx Blender Flapper (Socks, John Goode)
Toe Motion Flapper (Socks, John Goode)
Flapper> Blur
Flapper> Mobius bs
Flapper> Nuke ss Osis (Witnessed by Ken and some of NYFA)
Flapper> Ripwalk Flapper
Flapper> Pdx Torque bs
Blender> Flapper bs
Flapper> op Flapper x12
Flapper> Spinning Ducking Flapper
Fairy Front Sole
Stepping Ducking Solestice
Spinning Ducking Solestice bs

I know other people have hit some insane sole tricks too. Add yours!

wow... I need to try that.

I've hit bunches of stuff out of flapper... and years ago at Cornell Jam I got nuke muted flapper bsos on request from Ken. On Saturday I hit whirling swirl out of it, I'm pretty sure Nick saw.

Nick, your flapper list is insane. big props.

I have a list of flapper tricks, but it's nothing compared to Nick's list, so I'm not even going to bother.

Bullshit, Matt. I know you've hit some insane flapper tricks that I haven't hit. Post 'em up! :)

Great lists/videos everyone.

I just remembered I hit Ricochet (Paradon Flapper) last semester. Awesome trick!

And why do I feel like this thread is dead now that Brian, Chris, Ken, Matt and I have posted :P

People need to start using their SOLESSSSSSSS

-lapcatch>ducking sole
-sole ducking mirage/whirl/torque
-rafraction ending on sole
Edit: it's more of a deep far legover ending in sole than a refraction, because there's no sole osis involved

in Evan Lovely's CSS video, some guy kicks the bag, lays on his back, and does one of those ninja moves where you pop up from your back onto your feet while kicking the bag straight up and catching it.

I've hit some sole tricks.
All the spinning ducking/gyro diving etc soleosis tricks.
Some other weird ones too. Pendulous dyno/blender/double dyno ending with a sole osis.

Does anybody have a copy of the videos from that crazy random Czech dude doing all the flapper stuff from a few years ago? The guy that liked accordions and lesbians kissing? The originals have been taken down from Youtube. I remember a lot of the tricks mentioned here in that, and maybe some others?

Edit; This is the topic if people are wondering;

http://modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17502

It was decent guiltless runs of only flapper/sole tricks.

I wrote one of the strings down one day, as inspiration to hit it eventually. What I can remember is it was a bunch of 3 adds ending on flapper to make a 4 add... stuff like "Reverse Swirling Flapper> Whirling Flapper> Ducking Flapper> Solestice> Swirling Flapper> Rev Swirling Flapper> Spinning Flapper etc.. Which really isn't too bad and I think I could hit that if I still had Nucleus shoes :/ If anyone would like to let me borrow their size 10.5 or 11 Nukes, I'll gladly take some attempts at a run like this (and I can send the Nukes back to you after I film the string(s). On second thought, a run like this would be totally doable in Nukes.
