Hey, My name is Drake Springston. I just started getting into playing footbag about a month ago and I'm still going hard. I love everything about it and i have the motivation to try to become pro (even though I'm far from it :b). Im starting to try to learn how to stitch a good footbag, but its going really slow because my parents are stern and won't take me to get any synthetic suede or anything. so Anyone who's willing to, please message me if you wanna give me advice on shedding or stitching or if you're even nice enough to donate anything to a begginer :P .

Hey mango, my name's Ben from psu. It's nice to see a new player with a modified presence. Please let me ask you lots of questions. Where are you located? what tricks do you like so far? Who do you play with? How old are you? Can you grow a cool mustache?

Hey Drake, welcome to our online community. Our Facebook group is more active than modified, but a good amount of us use both. I'm stoked to hear that you like it enough to get good, perhaps pro level. I also agree with Ben's questions. If you let us know your general location, we might he able to find you a professional nearby to teach you. Get back to us on that, for sure. Good luck :)

Is Anaheim close to Stanford? There are a lot of players there. Also, for some inspiration, check out Nathan Bonslaver's footblog. He's 16 and also my footbag student and he's doing really well. His blog title is like "Nathan: Lord of the Strings"

Also, don't forget to learn every trick on both sides!! That is so important if you want to get good.

Chris Pinkus:

Since your parents might be a bit protective still, if they don't let you ride with Ben, maybe you could beg them to take you and hang out to watch the session.

I'm from Pennsylvania. I have never met Chris or Chad. But if I had the opportunity to drive an hour to meet up with them, I would do it in a heartbeat. Ben is also really good at footbag.

By the way, ever seen the movie, "She's All That"? You might/might not remember this scene..

^That's Big ADD Chad filling in for Freddie Prince Jr.

Yeah, so you really shouldn't miss this opportunity.

I have no new info to add but 100% percent agree with Paul and Nick that you should try and go Sunday. Getting to play with people with lots of experience is really fun and pushes you even more.

Yeah I'm totally cool with heading down to Anaheim and having a session or two there so you know I'm legit. Then if you wanna come out to L.A. and shred with 3 dudes in their 30s who's best footbag days are behind them, well then you have that option LOL.
