should we start reserving rooms, or is somebody going to find a cooler place and then everyone winds up staying there and all the Plan-Aheaders get shafted... ? It would suck if this happened to people again at this Worlds. Luckily, I wound up at Terra Verde last summer, but I can imagine how pissed I'd have been if I had been stuck to a room at the Hotel. I realize this was nobody's fault, but... what's to be done?

I think I'm just gonna wait till last minute, see where people are going, what's closest for hostels. There is so much last minute cheap accommodation in Prague, I don't think there is any need to throw down a bunch of money now and get screwed.

Everyone is probably gonna be socializing outside of the living space anyway. There are quite a few kickass 24/hr beer gardens not too far by tram...

I would not worry about the socializing ending up at all like last year. Last time I was in prague they were pretty good about organizing after hours get togethers. There will be no apartments like terre verde here, mostly small 6-10 people places, check the lastest recommended hostel and that is were most people will be chillin. night life is good with the group that is running this one. see ya ted f

Where is everybody planning to stay? I wanna book at the Pension, since I know at least some people plan to be there, but I don't want to end up away from the majority like the unfortunates who stayed at the host hotel in Florida.

EDIT: I'm booked at the host hostel too now!

i just sent an e-mail to the pension to book a bed, but i was wondering how every one else did it?

on the worlds website it says
Worlds website wrote:If you want to book cheaper deal accomodation please follow the registration proces that can be found here (tady odkaz na registraci).
was "(tady odkaz na registraci)" supposed to be a link to reserving a room online or something? I don't speak czech so i'm unsure as to what that meant...

regardless, i sent the pension an e-mail requesting a bed and putting "world footbag championships" in the "specials" field.[/quote]

hey everybody,
maybe it´s quite late for this, but in case someone hasn´t booked any accommodation yet and doesn´t have enough money for staying in hostel, I can offer two places to stay at my place (flat)
I live 20 mins. from the center and 30 mins. from the main event place, no problem with the night transport.
think about it 8)
yea and i prefer young freestylers

I got replys pretty fast from the Penzion. They just needed like three e-mails before understanding that I don't want a single room but can share a room with other footbaggers.

And notice this:
In the reservation please fill this obligatory information:
Name (company, name of school etc.)
Number of guests
Date of arrival
Date of departure
Nights
Sector (pension, hostel)
Room (2, 3, 4 or 6 room bed)
Specials
Telephone number (otherwise the reservation would't be valid!!!)

haha, they needed three e-mails from me to understand that 6.8.2008 to 18.8.2008 is 12 nights

...oh, and do you think I should write another e-mail to them because I never mentioned anything about footbag to them?
