Pitt Halloween Weekend?

Post by Mrs. Mauler » 10 Oct 2008 11:29

I was just wondering how many people would come to Pittsburgh for Halloween weekend if we held a jam. I got word that the D.C. crew would come up, and would like to get a better idea of numbers for an inside kicking spot. Let me know because I am looking into places for us to play; the sooner the better. PSU???? Would you come? The guys from Butler?

Word. I will be working till 8 on both Friday and Saturday nights, but I would certainly be down to party and kick afterwards.

BTW, the exhibit I am working at is worth checking out while you are here. The artist is amazing and the piece will blow your mind away.

I am super duper crazy busy with school right now, but I'd try my hardest to make it up. It's about time for my trip to Pa, anyways. It's been over a month. Ha...

Who is Mrs. Mauler (edit. I see it's Aiden.. do you live in the area?)? I ask because though I can't make Halloween, I will be in Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving and the rest of the SFC has deserted me

(just teasing Matt/Ian... since Jake doesn't reply, not teasing in his case  )

I know Ken said I would probably come up, but the more I think about it chances are I probably won't. School is really kicking my butt right now. But have fun if it does happen!

Bob, I'll be looking forward to another garage session at your folks place this T-day. Cranberry shred and cranberry sauce??

And shoutouts to anyone who makes it Halloween weekend. I've been mum cause I don't know what that weekend's gonna be looking like for me, but it's lookin now pretty open so I'll be looking forward to shred and chilling. I've got a comfy fold out futon at my spot for anyone looking for an extra crash pad.

word up

what's the attendance list so far, and what's confirmed for the venue?

and i guess i will try to make even if there aren't bunny suits...

I'd still like to go to this, but I've been hearing conflicting details about what's going on exactly. Can anybody affiliated with this event officially clear up these questions for me?

1. When is the jam? Is it Halloween weekend, or the weekend after that?

2. Is there an indoor site in case of rain, cold, or cold rain?

3. Which members of SCF are attending this, and what days?

4. Is there a host hotel? If not, who is offerring crash space?

My ability to attend is mostly tied to my ability to get a ride, but the answers to the above 4 questions are just as important.

Hopefully see...some of you...soon?

Here are the answers that you've been clamming for!! I'm so excited!

1. When is the jam? Is it Halloween weekend, or the weekend after that?

Halloween weekend

2. Is there an indoor site in case of rain, cold, or cold rain?

yes, we were talking about just going on the Oakland campus in one of the rooms there, Caleb said that he used to shred there at night.

3. Which members of SCF are attending this, and what days?

SCF??? I don't know, just read the posts

4. Is there a host hotel? If not, who is offering crash space?

This is just a jam, if you'd like, I will look into hotel information. I was just going to offer up space to anyone who decides to come. Matt said that he is willing to offer space. I will take as many can fit into my house. Bring sleeping bags or something, I don't have anything but floor space. Jake offered up space too, and I don't really know about Ian. I think that he may be busy that weekend. I will leave it up to him to speak for himself.

There are a lot of thing going on Halloween weekend and am more than happy to look up anything that you may want to do or whatever. I know that there should be plenty of space available for anyone who shows. I have a car and can do any sort of pickup needed. I am not really planning anything but a jam; an opportunity for footbag players to get together and kick and party. Let me know of any questions that you have and I'll do my best to accommodate.

I will still be working Friday and Saturday, though I am down to chill on both nights after 8 (really looking forward to showing my friends around PGH!). I will be around all day on Sunday as well.

I am still waiting to hear back to see if my futon is spoken for, but I may have crash space on my floor as well.

I think it's cool that we will have a jam, rather than a tournament. This will be fantastic.
