2014 US Open! June 28-29 Portland, Oregon

Hey everyone, I'm sure you've already heard the championships are back in Portland! The footbag.org event page has been up for awhile and now it's time to get psyched.

The 2014 season is already in full swing with enormously successful events including Vegas Jam, PSU Jampionships, Todexon, and upcoming tourneys in New Orleans and Oakland. Plus the Freestyle and Net USO are back together this year so it's gonna be huge. Lots of swell persons are already confirmed, with bunches more on the way. It's turning out to be a great year for the sport.

We have a beautiful park with a stage, field, kitchen and grills. Pretty sure booze is allowed at the park and we have it until dusk both days so maximum chillout will commence immediately following the events.

If you're thinking about taking the trip, make it so!

At Worlds last year, I kept (jokingly) pressuring Grischa to host Worlds in Paris, since that would be the only location I could conceivably talk Haley into going to during our honeymoon. At the time, all talk was for Venezuela or NYC, and he didn't seem to want to do it. As things turned out, Paris got the bid. If they had announced it a few months earlier, I might have even been able to pull it off...

I'm trying to lock down sleeping arrangements. If anyone had a bed or couch they could share I would be most appreciative. I plan to get there Friday afternoon and stay till either Sunday or possibly Monday if we are doing water temple or something. I will be driving so I'll have a vehicle to help with any transportation needs. Thanks in advance!
