Insoles

Post by bigdirtyfoot »

What kind of insoles do people put in their footbag shoes? I'm looking for some new insoles for my CT 520s, but I don't know what to get as I've never bought alternate insoles for footbag shoes before. I thought about getting Dr. Scholls gel insoles last night but decided against it and figured I'd be better off asking everyone else. I know most players used to use the green spenco insoles, do people still use these or is there something better (and cheaper!) on the market today?

in my lavers, i use "cross trainer" spencos - they have em at every footlocker ; the "walker/runner" spencs are a little cheaper, since
they arent as well cushioned in the toe area.
I'm still not sure, if the x trainers are actually better, it seems to me
like more of a psychological advantage .

Both of these are quite expensive, but they are worth the money :
better shock absorption, you can wash em ( you SHOULD !) and
you got one year guarantee - if you keep the receipt, go back
a coupla months later and get a new pair>rpt

When i use my G6's, i dont need the spencos , i tried them, but
my big feet + soles+ G units just dont feel right...

These gel soles are also interesting - so go out and test all styles possible
and write a nice review for us

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

THRIFT STORES

I use light insoles that are slick on the bottum but rough on top

I cut them with scissors on the part with arch support so that it doesn't jut out and get in the way of the inside stall.

Original insoles are okay but need to be taken out as soon as possible.

You can get the insoles out by soaking the shoes in a bucket of hot water for an hour.

Metatarsal arch support insoles are great . http://www.spenco.com/prod_footcare_metatarsal.html
Just slip em in under your other insole, and they won`t move around. If you are playing properly, 90% of the impact on your soles will be in the toe area of the soles. These insoles give extra protection to that area.
