Re: My Strength
this is a good video, but I don't think ANYBODY should ever say this about his/her own work. As I said it's a pretty ill shred vid, but I would still say that several Mads Hole productions are better then it... I wouldn't compare anybody's vid against somebody else's under normal circumstances, but this comment came off very arrogant in my mind. ...it's just not something one should say about thier own work. I would have enjoyed the vid more if you hadn't said this.QuantumBalance wrote:and honestly I think this is the best shred video ever made...

Anywho, I think this vid is an excellent representation of footbag for YouTube. It shows a good variety of shred with a cool song. Good job bro. Way to keep puttin footbag out there in the public eye.
Oh, and not to mention that pickup to outside>side of knee stall by Jeremy? Sick!

i fuckin DIG the SD footage!!!
such great shred in that vid... lots of diversity in styles etc.
also... the editing style was like nothing ive ever seen in a footbag video- the cut scenes, the kid, the gull!!! dood-- some artistic shit. symbolism was perfectly subtle, too.
was wondering how much if any time stretching you used in the vid?
ive totally seen freestyle reality and this still seemed totally new to me...
awesome, awesome vid. i miss shredding with with rich and jason and aaron so much- so this is probly the most shred-inspirational vid ive ever seen. im gonna go play footbag now.

I LOVED THIS VID.
After being sent multiple footbagging vids throughout the past year of my life, this has been the most enjoyed by far.
The editing was amazing, and I was really impressed by the choice of music. Pure excellence.
I finished FR, haha I liked it a lot.
**Side Note: you are allowed to critique your own work, negatively or positively. People need to grow up, really. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished!!

Your fans. Vasek never told me that he was the best at freestyle. Mads Hole never told me that he was the best with film & editing. Tom Mosher never told me that he hosts the best events. (I'm not getting into a debate about whether YOU think that these people are the best, but...) I say that these people are the best in thier trades, and they never had to tell me to think that.shredzilla wrote:RawSko wrote:"Cuz if I don't say I'm the best, tell me who the hell will?"
For the video, I do think that it's really good. That's some really sic editing; but I was just saying that IMO you should not be the one telling me that you're the best at what you do. I'll decide for myself, thank you.
nonetheless, that was just a comment. Props on a good vid.

Hate to be the crappy dude but whatever it's worth I really didn't see anything special about it. I really didn't like how close the view is on the players and how the camera moves with the bag sometimes. For me, the sick shred was not nearly represented as good as it could've been.

See. thats totally cool/ I dont mind at all that you didnt like the video. IF you like static shots of footbag better and thats not my style then its all good. I just dont like how I said what I thought baout my video and it was made as if I was telling everyone what to think. Thank you for stating a critique so truthfully and without nonsense.
Re: My Strength
Have you ever spoken with Vasek? Vasek has said some fun things about how good he is.. Like in Sick.03 he says that he can play for 20 minutes without dropping if just he has some good music.RawSko wrote: Your fans. Vasek never told me that he was the best at freestyle.
And I do not agree about Mads Hole being the best videomaker out there.. He is good, yes, but the two french guys who have done Sick.03 and Budas Best is prolly better.
I love this vid.
I've always liked this video, but as for it being the best ever, I guess that's just as you say it is: Opinion.
However, what I am confused about is this: Why would you edit your original post, and then continue to say there was nothing wrong with it? If there was nothing wrong with it in the first place, why edit it at all?
