You could've hit terrage > dimwalk > blur. . . it's the blur that would've been "teh shit". Heh this post and the one I did is almost exactly the same. I bet people are really jealous they weren't there. STREET HACK!!!!!

Alright, so 'll prolly try and make this as short and sour as possible..... what?
Yeah, so I kicked yesterday... a lot. Over 5 hours to be almsot exact.
My legs were soooo tired today. I woke up at like 5 in the monring to the rushing pain of a charlie horse developing in my calf. I moved it slightly and buried my face into my pillow and screamed for the life of me, it hurt oh so much. Dam, was yesterdays shred epic or what?
Before I get to the shred I just wanna establish that I finally got my macbook pro 2.2 gh processor yesterday right before the shred!
and as soon as I called Pat it turned out he was at the same mall I was and had just bought a wii! Coincedence? No, only the illusion of coincedence...
Yeah, so I met Pat at the canal round 5ish and we "warmed up" (i use the term loosely) for 2 hours. Pat actually did take it kinda sorta slow. He just used a lot of spins and more low impact shit and managed a lot of really flowy long strings. I, on the other hand, cant spin and have yet to acquire any "low impact" moves. Everything I did just tired me out. My shirt was literally covered in sweat and I was dripping.... I never drip in sweat when I play w/ at least one other person. Idk, I sucked yesterday, but it doesnt matter cuz it was still mad fun.
Yeah, so after that we went over to RIT round 7 and met up w/ Mike and Jeff. Jeffs game keep on improving. He managed one really long string, like 8 or 9 contacts? Had a butterfly and osis in it so that was really cool. Mike freakin tore it up. His game is really solid. He basically uses bops as "bail" moves, its insane. In Between trying to hit like, blur>eggbeater bsos hed just fill it with soooo many butterflys and paradox mirage/illusions. So cool. Once again Pats game was also looking really tight. I noticed his strings seemed longer lasting than usual and he seemed to use a broader range of tricks. It might have something to do with his flip pixie that hes been skooling. Now this is the part Id ussually write about my own tricks and stuff, but.... were not gonna worry about it, haha.
Actually near the last hour or so it was mad fun cuz Mike and I were just skooling stepping set with Pats advice and Mike managed blur bsos and a few b2b ripwalks. Maybe blizzard bs too? I also managed blur bs and ripwalk b2b once. The coolest thing tho was when Pat was like "theres this trick i hit the other day that was really cool" and he tried spyro mirage, but didnt get it the first time. Went to Mike, he tried it, didnt get it. Back to Pat, BAM, he hits it. Back to Mike, Bam he hits it. Goes to me, and im just like "I wanna try!" so i try it strong. Not even close. Give flip a shot, BAM first try! It was jstu a rather funny moment from the session, among many others, but I think thats a good write up... and my dinners here.
Word, so awesome long session yesterday, not playin today. Playin tommorow w/ Chris and probably Paul to break in one of the three new bags Chris got for me from worlds.
I cant wait to hear all about it.
Peace

Ok, now Im gonna wait for a while until I quit or go to another page after submitting this entry....
Anywho played for a good 2.5 hour today. Didnt plan to play til Friday but didnt have to go in to work today so it kinda worked out in my favor. Good thing too cuz I really wanted to play before the fair. So yeah, the session went really well I think, I ussually play better when I solo... or at least it feels that way cuz I can self serve over nd over and over until i do what i want.
Whatever. I got kinda scared cuz after playin for about an hour, the inside of my left leg started to hurt, like where the knee is but to the right of the knee cap, so on the side of the leg.
Idk, but it hurt so much that i couldnt walk w/out pain. SO whats my solution? Try and stretch it out? Doesnt work. Try sitting and takin pressure off it? Doesnt work. Work stepping set? Success! haha, yea prolly not the best idea but it feels fine now and hopefully stays fine. But yeah, highlights:
-ripwalk x3 (woulda been 4 but i started freakin out after the 4th easy stepping set)
-butterfly>blur (rpt)
-butterfly>blizzard (rpt)
-stepping ss clipper bsos
-pixie ducking clipper bsos
-phoenix>ripwalk again
-whirl 3 times in a row bsos
-toe whirl bsos
-paradox whirl bs
-drifter>torque
-darkwalk
-FLIP TORQUE
(finally!)
I know that doesnt seem like much for 2.5 hours but most of it was just working on whirls, drifters and torqueS
Aite, well i smell and one of my best friends leaves tommorow.... and then another friday... and then almost everyone else on Sunday
so Im gonna go out, kick back, and make some memories that will most likely be forgotten after tonight.
Peace

Figured Id post now so I dont forget later.
Today marks the first day that i played with the RFA and the last... sorta, haha. So the first time I played w/ the RFA was last year on move-in day at RIT.... and now, a year later, we played, it was move-in day, and i leave for college this Friday.
So yeah, I just thought, that was kinda cool, especially cuz I was gettin a lot of props from Paul and Chris about my game which made me feel really good. Haha.
So yeah, some highlights:
-ducking clipper and ducking legover bsos
-butter>far guay>guay (rpt)
-assassin midstring
-blur bsos
-blizzard bsos (flip was thin
)
-some decent pixie shuffling
-smog
Paul and Chris were both tearin it up as usual. Hmm, Paul had some really sweet neo/guay shit, like neo gyro guay and ducking guay bs and junk like that. His spins and gyro stuff is really smooth, looks effortless for him. Im really gonna miss getting to watch him play, he has such a unique style. Chris was intense. His atomics and nuclear stuff is so key. He hit part of rubberman 2 with reacters insetad of legbeaters. Apparently he hit the whole combo at worlds. His drifters and torques are also just so.... wow. He hit mobius midstring so much. Mad stylie.
So yeah, that was todays session. It was too bad Mike couldnt make it, Im really gonna miss playing with him as well. Hopefully we can have one more session before I go.
Ugh, I need to just play footbag for the rest of the week, everyone else is already gone to college! Why must northeastern start a week later than everyone else! Aw well, more shred in Syracuse and hopefully Canada.
Peace

Word indeed.
So ive been playing a ton lately. Tuesday Pat and me went and played at the Great NY State Fair again. Feel free to check out his post if you want full details but heres the man gist of it. Arrive at 2, shred so much that break a sweat 5 times, hackey sacker stalking, itty bits, son of John "the Mountain Man" Walsh, sweet bmx tricks, 2 foot long dough-licious strip of fried dough covered in mass amounts of sugar, cheese fries, lots of water, and buskin like muthas only to be robbed by some punk ass kids... Bastards managed to swindle us by having us sign some chicks hand and Pat even signed a dudes chest... yea, hes basically famous now.
Then left at like 12 and got home round 2. Ha, 2 to 2.
So yea thats basically the synopsis of Tuesdays shred. Today I went to RIT to play with Mike A, and Pat. Bobby played for a lil too. Mike was really killin it again, his game is fantastic to watch, he had some dude walk by stare at him while he walked a good 50 feet. I jsut kept thinking to myself "Keep going Mike!" and it was as if he heard me cuz he just refused to drop! There was also a moment when a group of peeple walked by and they were all talking obnoxiously and after passing us, while Mike was shredding, they got quiet and after a good 10 seconds finally said, "I guess thats impressive."
Took them long enuff to say it.
Pat was playing alright. His game was really solid in the beginning. He managed a string full of paradox whirls and ripwalks and spinning and junk, it looked veryprofessional. He even said something like "Yeah, that felt like a pro."
Eventually his legs were startin to feel the effect from Tuesdays 10 hour shred so he put some tiger balm on (this shit is soooo potent, in fact ive heard that it works 60% of the time, every time) and managed to play for another good 2 hours or so. I was kinda surprised when I saw him put his civillian shoes back on, he ussually plays even longer than me. Must be some nasty knee problems.
Bobby played foir a good hour or so. He doesnt play to regularly so his game is kinda meh. He had some pretty good tiltless runs but then hed get bored or something and try whirl. He managed to hit whirl a few times and even pulled out a torque. So that was cool. I really hope he still goes to weekly sessions and stuff, I get the feeling that after I leave he might lose interest in footbag.
Aw well.
I played okay. I had a really nice string that was like, smear>plo (rpt)> magellan>plo (rpt)>smudge>plo (rpt). Actually it wasnt that great, some of my pixies were kinda wild. Aw well. Hmm, I managed to hit tripwalk midstring bs. I really wanted to get it bsos but Id keep dropping on stupid stuff, meh. What else, hmm, dimwalk>pdx mirage (rpt)>run. OH, I hit E-walk!
I hit it after a few tries, sealed and everything. I managed to foot it flipside numerous times as well. Then I tried again strongside and it took a good..... prolly 20 tries beofre I sealed it again, haha. I could get the frantic set just fine, it was the butterfly that was the problem, I kept kicking it instead of stalling. Idk, I really wanna work quatum into my game a lot more now, mix my shuffle up with something other than just freakin pixie.
Yeah, then I said bye to Mike and Pat and that kinda sucked cuz they are both really fun guys to play with. It was really cool to finally have someone who I could just pm and be like "yo shred this weekend" and theyd be down. Aw well, Im hoping Boston will be similar. Anywho this is a long post and I leave tommorow morning so I should prolly get going.
Peace

Wow. Thanx for all comments everyone.
Matt-Thank you so much, man. You have been a huge inspiration for me to keep shredding. Im going to miss the Rachacha. Btw, will there be another YEAH this year?
Janis-Wow dude, that means a lot coming from you. I read some or your highlights and, well, yea, I guess my game is really similar to yours... er, well, back when you were just learning how to play too. I hope IM able to progress in the same direction you did.
Pat-dude, I hit ducking clipx6 on Sunday, I freakin footed the 7th
And Pete-Pfft, hell yea dude. When we kickin again?
OK, now then, the reason Im posting in the first place is cuz earlier today some kid asked "do you play soccer?" and I snapped back at him in a curt tone, "no." which afterwards I felt kinda bad about cuz I wasnt even playing footbag at the time
Btw, I totally agree with everyone about my game. I really need to skool stuff. It feels like I havnt had a solo session in forever and now ive just kinda plateued... I gotta get on that if i wanna keep up with guys like kljopa and that Manna dude. Watched his video from Erik Chan, guys only been playing 4 months and hes hitting infinities b2b like butter. (heh, get it, infinty is far butter.... ahhh footbag jokes.)

yep. Skool and drill some each session would be good. I've got a lot of faith, though. You seem to be able to work technical workings of this crazy game out pretty easily in your head. I'd just have to say that a lot of what you're after will just come from playing more.
anyway hope boston is going well for you - classes and whatnot. You'll have to keep me informed as to when you have breaks and are going back to Rochester. Siena is kind of a holiday nazi and we don't get a lot of time but it'll happen one of these days.

I hear ya knockin, man. In fact thats all I worked today.
So yea, short session, idk if it even went an hour. Basically I just started out with some kicks and toe stalls then went straight to clipper. I just worked on consec clippers and whatnot and it turns out that I need to do this a ton more often cuz my clipper form is hell apparently. It took me more tries than it should have to hit 10 clippers bs and then bsos. I tried that tri-force drill thing again too, (where you go right clip>left clip>right clipx2>left clipx2>right clipx3 so on and so forth) and only made it to the sixth level. bleh, my clipper form has gotten sooooo shitty. Its been so long since I drilled.
Anywho then I worked my tiltless toe game and got mirage>legover 20 contacts after only a few tries and managed illusion>pickup 12 contacts, meh. I thought of a lil rpt in my head and hit mirage>illusion>clip>mirage>clip>near pickup (rpt) and got that 2nd try. Unfortantly I get bored of drilling way too quickly so then moved onto butterflys. Managed 5 butters strong no problem then just worked on consec flip ss butters until I got the hang of it again. Managed ss butterx10>infinity (rpt) so that felt successful. Could only get 14 infinities tho. Ugh, my records twenty something and it seems so low. I really need to work on butterflys and infinities again, ive gotten too caught up with guiltless junk and trying to impress peeple while playing in public. Meh, whatever.
I started to work on ducking too and managed diving clipx2 strong and diving clip>ducking clip>diving clip starting from weak. Hit a lot of weaving clippers as well. I really would have liked to have persued this component today but unforntantly someone walked by and said there was a floor meeting. Of course by the time i wash my head and change my shirt and get downstairs the meeting just ends.
It was so stupid and unnecessary and it made me lose my momentum and I had to stop playing. Meh whatever, I guess it was for the best considering i got pissed off during the clipper segment and kicked a chair and now the tip of my foot hurts to bend.
Bleh.
Word, so all in all, twas a good eye-opening session. I need to hit 50 tiltless or something before I start workin quantum and whirl and drifter stuff into my game....
Aw man, just talkin about that stuff makes me wanna hit it, its so much more fun. Bah! I'll hit this tiltless stuff in no time and be back in business by november at the latest.
Oh, and btw Pat I know I get 3 weekdays off in november for thanksgiving. Lemme know if your around at all during that time. I'll also be home from Dec 15 until Jan 6 or something but I remmber reading somewhere that your not gonna be around then, like you cant even make it to YEAH or somethin? Idk, Im sure we'll find some time for epic shred once again.
Peace

50 tiltless? Daaaang suckuh that's some goal. I hope you can get that done! Keep The World posted.
yeah I'm going to California for christmas break from the 18th to early Janurary so uh. Yeah that probably won't work but I'll be home for thanksgiving probably around then. I could check the academic calendar on the website I suppose.
oh by the way, have you ever done the dlo > legover drill? Just a thought. I know before you were having a hard time with your flip toe dlo. Might help. It has for me.

Well la-di-freakin-da, im so glad it worked for you.
....Actually I havnt even atempted it in a while so Idk how tough its gonna be.
Anywho, the main reason im posting:
-40 tiltless
-e-walk bs (got flip 2nd or 3rd try, but idk how clean it was
)....(and uh, strong musta taken about 50 tries before I was able to actually catch the goddam butterfly, had a ton of great sets but i just have such shitty flip crank, meh whatever)
Yeah, thats it pretty much. Pete hit a ton of stuff and kept taking me off track bc id see him hit something and Id be like "aw man I gotta try that!" Ha, aw well, Im sure he'll post his highlights in the Boston blog or something.
Peace

Wow, really productive olo shred today.
Idk how long I played but by the end I wa drenched in sweat... as usual, ha. Anywho, hit 50 tiltless.
50 exactly actually. After I hit the 50th I tried for a ss butter and just messed it up but i didnt care. I felt so winded all session. Hmm, ok so highlights:
-50 tiltless (obviously, but still
)
-ducking clip>whirl>ss butter (rpt) x12 contacts
-infinity x17 (meh)
-ss butter>infintity (rpt) x20 contacts
-ss butter>osis>pdx mirage (rpt)
-toe blur bsos
-tripwalk bsos
-butter>osis>dlo (sooo close on flip)
Yeah, prolly some other rando stuff but that was the main junk I was really happy about. I figure now that Ive hit that 50 tiltless I can start driling bop and guiltless stuff again.
OH, almost forgot, symple swirl! Haha, Idk, I have a lot of trouble with this component....
Peace

Fun lil laid back sesh w/ Fran and his roommate today.
We played outside from like 6 until 830 or something? Idk but it was cool. I actually played really well and had some really good runs. I had a run w/ plo, pixie ss clip, pixie far clip and magellan all bs so that felt really good. Also, at one point Fran goes, "Yo, hot chicks watchin" so Im all "Pffft" and nail a really clean torque and keep playing. haha. Actually, come to think of it, I hit every torque I attempted today. It was only like 3 or 4 or something, but still, torques a rarity for me, so
. Hmm, I had some other really good runs, I remember a failrly long guiltless run, er, well, long for me, like 15-20 contacts, I couldnt believe how controlled I was.
Fran had some really nice runs too. His osis' looked really controlled, and his dynos look very cool. Some of his zoid sets are unbelievable, they go so high, its crazy. He also came very cose to making that "sole set>duck>inside delay" assumption correct, only a matter of time.
Frans roommate was pretty good for a hacky snacker. He managed some atws and flying clipper>op flying clipper junk. Had the butterfly kick down as well. Very cool. Oh, and then some other dude showed up and played with us for a lil and he could do outside stall and pendulum.
He also had pretty good control with his kicks. He asked when next time we'll play and Fran told him Sat at 1 by snell, but I doubt he'll remember or anything. Aw wel, still fun playin with the dude.
So yeah, good session today, unexpected too cuz I really didnt intend to shred today. Kudos to Fran for calling, I really need to play everyday to engrave that muscle memory junk into my legs.... or whatever.
Peace
