Really awesome bag, Cod. I like how the fabric is already stretched out on that 62-panel, so that's why I asked how it plays. :) The colors look really festive too.

Well, to start on a new page...

Image

The one on deck is an amaretta/microsuede hybrid. I used my largest template and now I have myself a mini. Prize bag for GRASS, and I will be mailing this baby on next-day-priority shipping tomorrow so that Mike Anello will have this beautiful bag. Win it, gents, because it's 55.5 grams of toxic gold (lead and steel filler) and is sooooooo floppilicious.

Bag on left is filled with 60 grams tungsten, and is one-half of an order for Shannon J. Koontz.

Bag on right is a test bag that I made, which didn't go as well as I expected. Ultrasuede soft all around. Has been through 3 refills now, and is now a simple cat toy and nothing more. :?

nice waylon!!!
LOVE that bag with blue and foiled animal print microsuede ;)

i had a similar experience with an all ultrasuede soft bag and firmly believe the only way to make a playable ultrasuede soft bag is hybrid with the hexes amaretta or thin microsuede :(

I have a really broken in Black Noir facile hex & Neon Lime UsS pent 32 that I made a while back, and it is really choice when you fill it with a dense filler of 60 some grams. It's one of my favorite bags to kick with. :)

I think making a freestylable 32 made entirely of ultrasuede soft is possible, but in a practical sense. Like, subtracting one set of stitches on each side so that the pents look like flowers (or, in simple terms, 2-stitch I guess?), so that the flexibility in the seams will make it more functional. The bag I made above is the complete opposite of that; let's just say that each pentagon has approximately... 45 stitches in total? :? :P

FYI I used a reeeeeeeeaaaaaally old sewing method that Tom Mosher used to do on his bags when he made loose-stitched 32s, except in my case I used a ton of gather. :)

Waylon, these are some beautiful bags! I especially like the spiral one :).

I tested my 62-panel Dorshbag. It's playable buy not that well like a standard 32-panel bag. That's because it's not that soft. It still looks super cool, though :D.

Sweet color combo! Especially when you can see the pattern in the blues! :P

I really like that first bag you posted Cod.

Stitching 2 bags in conjunction with each other, right now. I might finish by the end of today.

ojk this is a very very old bag i made back in 2005, it has a bipolar pattern, just to show. :) it is basicly a patern were you stich one half of a bag the regular soccerball pattern and then reverse this for the second half.

Image

this can also be concidered a bipolar, but thats a very own variation i did customly for a customer :D

i hope this helped clearing things up a bit. :)

by the way: the first ever made bipolar bag was made by pengpeng du, as far as i know. ;)
