I know it's an old game, but does anybody play this? What are your favorite maps/classes? Any strategies you use? Preferred unlockable weapons? What are your stats? Handle? I'm somolinos on it. It'd be cool to play with/against other footbaggers.

im mostly an arena player, lotus and doorman are my only servers i play in
lotus: 65.60.32.27:27015
doorman: 64.34.181.185:27017

my best classes are scout and soldier.

my favorite maps are arena_nucleus (as scout) and arena_granary (as soldier)

when i can aim properly, i can kick asses as a sniper but im not a headshot maniac, but most of the time (more than 90% of the time) i hit/hs/miss my opponent before he shots/miss me.

my load out are:
scout: scattergun/pistol/the sandman (which im pretty good at stunning)
soldier: black box (renamed "the rocket jumper" caus i LOVE to jump with it)/gunboats/equalizer

i know that Eric Chang plays too. His steam name is: acommoncold

if you want to see an awesome sniper, type xlr105 on youtube ...

Hey Julien,

I accepted your friend request. I hope we can play sometime. I need to get myself a better internet connection. My best pings are around 40-55, but a lot of times I have triple digit times.

Scout and Solider are in my bottom three classes. I need to learn them. Spy is my worst class so far, which I wouldn't have expected.

Right now I'm working on getting my second milestone in several classes.

What is your record for points in a life? Mine is 26 as a medic, when I got 16 assists. My kill record is only 11, which I did as a Heavy. I still have a long way to go learning this game, but I really enjoy it.

BUMP

I know Mike Green (Worldbound) just joined the forums, and he plays this. I've also played with Eric Chang a bunch too. The makers of the game have also been constantly updating the game, so the scene is still very alive.

On a personal update, my worst class now is by far demoman.

Still interested in people's records as well. I think I'll add some of mine later tonight.

orange something, a cp map,probably in a [NO HEROES] server. Maybe a year ago.

But now that i have a more than full time job and a 8 months old baby, i barely play on week ends

you need to predict the arc the ball will do and predict where your opponent will be. It's easier on snipers since they barely move. Even tho, you can have the right angle (left / right) but you still can put the ball too far or too close. It's a lot of practice ... And even if i used to be an elite player in HL1, where the grenade had the same physics as the ball in TF2, i still miss a lot of homeruns caus i put them too far

if you want, we can train our homerun together soon.

leyt me know if you are interested. i might be better to teach in real game

I love TF2. I haven't played it much over the last few weeks.

I have gone through phases of playing most classes over the two years I've played the game, but now just play Heavy. My Strange Minigun has over 25,000 kills (one of the "strangest" weapons in existence). I pretty much just go around punching people now.

Ken, to moonshot someone with the Sandman you just need to be a sufficient distance away from them before shooting the ball.

Julien: Thanks for the tips on Sandman. I finally achieved the Moon Shot achievement, and it wasn't as weird an angle as I thought it might have to be.

Is anybody else here obsessive about getting achievements? Or do most people not care? I've achieved 76% of all the achievements, and should get to 77% soon. What percent are others at?

Played with Reilley last night for a bit, and sure enough, he's a beast. He netted me 20 assists in a life, and we didn't even die. If some idiot hadn't capped the map, we'd have gotten more for sure. Looking forward to trying this again.

And yeah, Reilley earned me 34 assists tonight, smashing my old record. Again, the streak ended because of a cap, and not a death.

I have a feeling he's going to make my strange medigun look awesome.

You should make a point to get one of the rocket launchers that only has 3 rockets in the clip. The default rocket launcher has 4, but ones like the Black Box only have three.

The reason why should be obvious.
