Our first entry comes from Colombia! Guilherme (Don Gui) created a beautiful video of shredding in the middle of the Colombian countryside. Thank you Don Gui !
The Links of the Day are being run by Nun Chaku - check out his first one here:
Regarding the LotD contest: As usually, the first person hitting all the links will be declared as a winner. Since the difficulty is high and also more players struggle with place for shred, I decided to set deadline to 28th February. So there will be more time to practice and fight for it. In case nobody will make them all until deadline, then the player with most links done wins the competition. But even after that, the first person hitting all the links (until December 2021) will be rewarded! So you can try the whole year.
It is up to you, where and how do you upload your vid/vids, but at the end you have to present clear evidence.
I'm sorry about the vid quality. It was filmed in fullHD in 120fps, but there is annoying light in my shred room, which my cam can't handle..
Have fun, keep practicing and good luck!
Finally, there will be a new scavenger hunt style challenge for both intermediate and open players. Details to come!
Solid first video. Love the shred, the music, the scenery, and DEFINITELY the drone footage. I'm probably wrong, but the only other person I've seen use a drone for filming footbag was Pavel, and it looked great. Definitely a lot to explore with that.
Also, great first LOTD. An unexpected combo executed with lots of style. Thanks to Dante and Dom for putting this stuff together!
RULES Video evidence (or photo where applicable) required to earn points. One video (edit) per contestant please!
Cleanliness will be considered, but we won’t be too crazy about it.
Player with most points at the end wins. Due date is January 15, 2020. Tie-breaker to be determined if necessary.
First place will receive one custom color 32-panel and one custom color 14-panel.
Second place will receive one custom color 32-panel.
Prizes may be awarded randomly just for participation.
For additional prize donations, questions, and submissions contact Mike Toolan or Dante Diotallevi.
Thanks for running this once again - once is hard enough but to do it twice in a row takes a special kind of insanity. For me my strong barfly is pretty good but I am very weak on the weakside. My butterflies are pretty good in all directions but I think maybe I am waiting too long to go into it. Will have a try on this in coming days.
Day 5 brings us to Canberra, Australia with Daniel Boyle giving us some thoughts on Footbag and Education. He is a PE teacher and Education Director of the IFPA. The video was filmed at the Australian Institute of Sport.
Thanks so much Dante and Dom for putting this together, and for posting it for the few of us still on here!
Those LOTD's are awesome. Motivation for maybe being about to join in the competition in 2021
Might be able to get a few of those scavenger hunt. This is a very fun and welcome distraction from everything going on. December is looking a little less bleak
Yes, thank you to Dante for running this. Been enjoying the videos, and definitely enjoying the LOTD! Can't wait to heal back up and give some of them a shot sometime. Thank you to everybody who made and contributed videos. Love seeing this tradition continue
Your ankle is still bad, Ken? Wish you recovery! Anyway, there is still a lot of time for LOTD competition. Also you can ofc go for them whenever you want. I'm actually going to try LOTD 2019:).
Here is the summary of my 2020 #freestyle #footbag skills. I'm so happy to be healthy and able to play on this level again. I feel like I'm playing the best game of my life! New shoes, a camera, and a safe place to shred give me even more motivation to play harder. #jointhecirlce
