I like Chris' rules a lot. They make the most sense to me.
When I'm with someone in my crew, and it's just the two of us shredding, there really are no rules for self serving. We accept it- we just don't abuse it.

I finally hit omelette. Hey, it's good for me.

Since the add system was created to try to guage the difficulty of moves, then I think that it should continue to be modified to more accurately represent difficulty, but it'll never be perfect.
I just hit my first 5-add this weekend. It was a zoid diving butterfly. I haven't hit a 6 yet.
