Having been there and being a judge for that circle comp I think I'm qualified to comment, just a couple of points on top of my head:

1) I agree that having three rounds both and maybe four for the final two would be better. Though then the preliminary rounds should not be right before the final ...

My brother, Jere Linnanen has hit at least 10. He hit it in late 2004, but since he hasn't been playing that much after it I think it might still be his record.

For example, rest of the freestyle final, shred final, womens freestyle, net results etc.

Just by reading the documents and hearing about the worlds circle contest I really like this. I still don't think this should be to replace routines, but this could definiately replace shred 30 as a players event. add ratio = 126 / 30 = 4.2

.. and according to my memory the formula was:

(add ratio * uniques) + adds = total score

if that's the case then the score according to your calculations would be:

(4.2 * 29) + 126 = 247.8

May be we should do like in gymnastics. Put 7 or 8 judges and cancel the hishest and lowest marks on both AM and TM....

In order to accomplish this we would have to change the current judging system. Right now the scores don't really matter. Rank does.
