What does "left clipper" mean?

Ok heres a weird question but im bored.

Is your Left clipper your left foot or your left side, considering clipper is crossbody?

I'm pretty sure a left clipper is your left foot clipper, meaning your right side. I could be wrong but I hardly ever say "left clipper" because it confuses people, so I say "left foot clipper".

Indeed, I always think that "left clipper" is left side clipper. But it's just me.

if you mean what i think you mean then no, if ur talking about doing a trick like torque an you foot isnt behind your right leg then its a un clean trick. an no i dont think it gets crossbody. but maybe im takeing what your saying the wrong way.

When referring only to a clipper, I mean the foot, but when notating a move, I mean side.

Pixie clipper, for example, has the pixie and the clipper with the same foot, but opposite sides. Pixie same clipper has the pixie and clipper done with opposite feet, but on the same side.

This hardly a weird question. Nomenclature is important!

I have thought about this a long time and have concluded that we should just never say 'left/right clipper'. I also always say left/right foot clipper.

MODS: How about throwing a poll up there (please)? I'm really curious how others interpret the question.

What confuses me sometimes is the usage of the term "same" all by it
self ; pixie clipper tells me that "pixie" and "clipper" are done on different
sides, pixie same side clipper is self explanatory - but, if someone would
say pixie same clip, i would automatically think, the person means
that both motions are done with the same foot.

Then you have people, who are too lazy=cool to say "...same side.."
and they abreviate it to "same", and thats where the confusion begins.

But if you are talking about flipside/strongside, are you talikng about
feet or sides ?

I always meant my left foot, when i said flipside, but now i'm not so sure
anymore : my left foot does the set, for lets say, a sidewalk much better
than my right foot, which is usually the better one for most moves/sets.

If the term "strongside" only reffered to a certain"side", then it would
make sense, that my sidewalks set from left clip are better, because
the action would still take place at the right aka "strong"side.

Cases like that can also make one think that you have different
flip/strong sides for different moves - i can only dso from my flip,
because my stronger leg does the dexes, but my left dimwalk
( weak pixie ) sucks.

yeah i definately have different strongsides for different moves (illusions r even worse, both sides are my weak side

), but your talking about being bigfooted or sideways. bigfoot means that your strongside (for the most part) is with either foot (i.e. left toe, left foot clipper), sideways means that your strongside is either side, (i.e. left toe, right foot clipper)

i think left clipper as left foot clipper, and same as same foot.

It would be much easier if we'd bother to use the words "same side" and "same foot" instead of just "same".

I say, clipper and switch clipper.. then if people are really curious as to which side is my usual one, then ill specify the right side of my body and left foot.
