Yeah, well, I just did away with my side walls, but I have no clue how to lace my shoes now. My friend was walking me through the cutting part, but left out the lacing (Thanks a lot Will!!! ).
depends on how many holes you cut out, i cut 3 and just lace like a normal shoe, but at first i cut 1, then 2, for those i laced it so some of the wall was up.
Well, my shoes had 8 holes, cut 2, left with 6. From what I've seen, my friend Will starts from 1 and goes up to the top hole, but I have no clue what to do after that.
just experiment, try just lacing it up like a normal shoe, i have a friend who does that with a 2 hole cut, but for me it does leave enough toe area. think about lacing with normal lavers, some start at 3rd hole, some at 4th, check the pics in post your shoes thread
it doesn't matter how manye holes you cut out. It only makes sense (to me) to make the most of the toe box you have while still having enoug of the shoe laced that it is tight. Go from the second last hole (2nd closest to the tip of your toes) and then lace from in to out on the very last holes. From there, pull TIGHT and lace them from out to in back through the 3rd hole. From THERE you lace like a normal shoe...
