Had another really small session tonight. It was going ok. I had a few tries at smear>dimwalk>pdx mirage rpt, but then mom interupted my session and showed me her wedding rings from her and my dad's wedding. She offered them to me to use when I propose to my girl friend. I thought it would be a really nice thing to do and figured my girl would like the idea. I tried to go back to shredding, but I was too distracted. I told my girlfriend about it and she No and that it would be weird. I don't get it. I've asked a couple other girls about it and they both love the idea and would love for that to happen for them. So now I'm confused and a little bummed out. She's at work so I can't even find out why it's weird. It would've made it so much simpler if I could've used that ring, plus it would save money that we could use later on.

Half hour session. Pretty much dedicated to working on a challenge I've been trying for about a week. Got a few really good looks near the beginning that spurred me to keep trying.
smear > dimwalk > pdx mirage > rpt
It was awesome. I felt really good about it and feel like I've accomplished something. I really have to start working on my winter goals though. Tomorrow is gonna be all about . . . tiltless strings. Ya. It'll be good. You'll see.

Three Quaters of an hour tonight. Was planning on working on tiltless runs, but kinda got caught up working on one of my oldest challenges. It actually tied in with my tiltless run goal, so I don't feel bad about it. It's been outstanding for so long because it's long and I could never remember all of it in order to hit it. Tonight I just learned the first four contacts and then kept adding on. So, without further ado:
pixie > fairy > illusion > legover > mirage > pickup > illusion > rpt (Chim-Chim)
Tiltless run lengths:
6
8
9
7
9
8
14 (completed challenge from above)
I also hit illusion>legover>fairy near the beginning of the session and thought it felt cool so I did it BSOS. That was fun. In bad news, my shins feel like crap. Hello shin splints!

Half an hour. My legs hurt.
It sucks. Anyways, I worked on just stringing tiltless runs and it worked ok...
ducking clipper>ducking clipper>ducking butterfly>ducking butterfly mid-run
Tiltless string length:
4
5
8
16
I'm sure there were lots of other numbers, but I suck at counting and keeping track.
drop a comment if you feel like it.

ok, I am down with that. I will do like four hundred stepping clips every other day and continue on whirls on the even days. I am just waiting for a my new bags to come to glorious china. No bag yet so just ps2ing at night
. I hope that it will come this week but maybe not. Who knows, chinese crazy glue is not so good so I am bagless right now.

Man, that sucks. I was hoping the glue would come to the rescue. Can you get your hands on Shoe Goo over there? That stuff rocks. Anyways, I don't know if I'll be quite as structured or disciplined as you. We'll see. Are you talking 400 sealed stepping clips?? Hope the gaming goes well. I'm playing tons of DS lately (like always)
No shred tonight. Or tomorrow for that matter. Life kinda sucks.

I started working on stepping tonight. Before my session I wacthed Anz's vid on Stepping, watched the Hackrifice vid for stepping clipper and read the .org tips for ripwalk, plus the modified trick tip thread for stepping. These all helped, but not enough. lol I guess I can't expect miracles.
I started out planning to skool stepping clippers, but that didn't work. Ripwalks seem more natural.
Anyways, on like the second try I hit Ripwalk on what I always thought was my flipside. It's my weak clipper, but it seem clear it is going to be my strong step. I almost hit dimwalk>ripwalk, but just missed the stall. I never hit anything out of my other stepping set. I got a few LOW hand catches but nothing more. I have my work cut out for me with this set, but that's ok. I think it'll be worth it. I want to learn steeping so that I can set out of a trick ending on clipper. Like what I did with dimwalk>ripwalk. That felt SO cool. I attempted blur with my strong set and footed it twice.
After watching Janis' video I decided to attempt a pincher move and hit pincher set pixie legover first try. I'm not sure if I"m describing that right...
Tiltless strings: 6, 8 (only two two adds in the last one.)

I feel pretty crappy right now. After work tonight, my Boss told me that there were gonna be alot of lay-offs soon. She told me this saying that it was "Foreboding news" so I figure I'm going to be among the ones losing there jobs. It sucks. Now all my plans are messed up. I was planning on buying an engagment ring this weekend, but now I don't know if I should wait and use that money to live off while I'm jobless. I also had plans to get out of my mom's house in the coming months, but I guess that'll be scrapped. I dunno. Live seems pretty crappy right now. There isn't much for work in my town, but there is an overflow of work in a nearby city. It's only a half hour drive, so I could get a job there, but my quit calculations show that after the price of gas to get there I wouldn't have enough money to get a place of my own.
No footbag tonight. Feeling like poo plus no water in the house. I think I hear a bubble bath calling. It's tell me to bring my DS.

Hour session. Felt nice to play that long. Although my legs REALLY feel it now. My stepping seems to be getting a bit better. I think I was doing them more properly tonight. The last session it seemed like was just fast clip set mirages, but today <b>if</b> I got them to clear my leg they were actually still traveling in an upwards direction. I gotta keep working on them.
ripwalk on "flip" a few times
stepping clipper on "strong" a few times, once to a very short run
tiltless runs:
5
6
7
6
8
13
At the end of the session I decided to hit Blur before I called it a night. This is when my legs started to hurt a bit. I got some real good looks at it and footed it <b>both sides</b>! So, I didn't hit it, but I had some good sets while trying and I feel that the set is starting to come out fairly both sided. On a side note, I think my "flip" is turning out to really be by strong. Once I got the rhythm down a bit better it seemed like it was easier.
Anyways, work today was pretty moo. It's a weird feeling when you work at a place that you know is going to lay you off soon. It's like it just feels pointless to do anything or try to achieve something for them. What sucks is that I'm good friends with the owners (bosses) and I will continue to be friends with them after they let me go. That means that I can't slack off and not care. I do think I'm going to start actively looking for a job.
Meh, at least footbag is still fun.

Short session today. I took it easy because I'm going to a dance tonight. Gotta save some power for that. And maybe doing a bit of shred depending on who's there.
6, 8, 6 and 16 consec butterflies
6, 7 and 6 trick tiltless strings. I know, pretty lame, but I didn't worry about it much.
DATW to start a string.
some strings with different atw's in them. I never do that.
stepping feels weird. Had one really good on my right side.

One hour and twenty minutes tonight. Felt alright. By the end my legs were getting sorta tired. Oh well. I warmed up pretty well, stretched and stuff. Then did some consec butterflies, then worked stepping, then tiltless strings, then butterflies again.
Tiltless runs:
6
7
5
5
8
26
My goal was 25! WOO! I'm not gonna cross it off the list yet because I want to hit it alot more consistently. I'd really love to be able to have a string like that in every session. That string had a decent amount of threes in it too.
Butterflies:
13
14
19
plus a bunch under 10 that I don't remember.
Other highlights:
Ripwalk on both sides
Blur on both sides
all four atw in one string!
I used a mr for this session. I think it's important to always be able to use different types of bags. I think I'm really getting the hang of stepping down. Blus might be the first trick I've hit bsosession. It was sweet. I wonder if by the end of the month I'll be able to stratch Stepping off my goals list. If I keep working on it and improving like this I just might be able to do it. Who knows.

I totally here you on the shins thing. One statement for ya, get out of lavers !!!! They are totally bad for your shins, when I first tried to learn stepping years ago in lavers. I got such bad shin splints I just gave up on stepping. Yeah go riders. I will definately wake up early next monday morning for the game against BC. If they make the grey cup I am ordering online. I am sure it will come in like shit here but hey how often do they make the grey cup. Only twice in my lifetime. I think only once in yours.

Ya, I've been trying to get out of Lavers, but I'm a bit low on cash and without a credit card it's a bit tough to order online, so it's hard to find anything else. I also have two perfectly good pairs of Lavers stocked up. I'll make something happen. Toe taps help alot so I"ll just keep doing those.
I can only remember one Grey Cup in my lifetime. My Grandpa was at the game. Lucky punk!

Played for a whopping <b>fifteen minutes</b> today! Whew, what a workout.
After warming up I did twenty butterflies and figured this was gonna be a good session. Then I did ten. Still good stuff. Then one, zero, zero. OK, not going so well anymore. I decide to try some stepping and it feels so off! Then I get a nine contact tiltless run. Cool. Then two, then two again. Crap. I quit. I'm kinda disappointed in myself for letting my mental game get so bad, but oh well. Tomorrow is another day. Actually I might session tonight if I get time. Who knows.

Played for 1.25 hours tonight. Good stuff. I've decided it's time to start working on my entries for this quarters comp so I decided to try them out tonight. It went ok. I'm pretty confident I can hit my sick three, but I didn't do it tonight. I got both of the links a few times though, and footed the whole thing a couple. I like it. It uses two moves that I never ever use and one that isn't a part of my regular runs, but I've had it for awhile. Good stuff. I also hit a few tricks that I might hit for my sick one. But I don't know which I should. If you wanna advise me on what to hit, just drop me a PM.
Other Stuff:
Infinity: 6, 8, 9, 13, 10
DATW>DATW (strong [in-out])
pdx whirl>symp whirl
whirl>ducking clipper [rpt!]
knee bumpx26
I think it was a good session. I also had a few really clean ripwalks, but I didn't try stepping until I was dead so I couldn't really do anything. I really wanted to hit blurry whirl out of a clean set, but it wasn't happening.
My tiltless strings were crap tonight. But again, I didn't try them until my legs were dead. Oh well. I doubt I'll play tomorrow, but I wanna try to film Saturday night. [Warning: crappy digi cam quality]
