There's a video out there that shows that I actually was doing a battle stance.

That was during the Sick 3 prelims. I was trying to hit ewalk-fog-toebius, and after coming close a couple times (ewalk-fog-toe gyro mirage sealed twice), I needed to get psyched. I did a battle stance pose from Street Fighter (Akuma's win pose/taunt), then proceeded to hit my combo next try! I sealed it by dragon punch/catching the bag, and then fireball passing it to team Japan. It's a pretty funny video, maybe somebody can find it.
