Rochester YEAH 12.30.06-01.01.07

Post by cd »

We have free floor space for everyone and a free gym to use all weekend as well as a great location for after-hours activities. Everything you need is within a 5 or 10 minute walk.

Myself and the Rochester Footbag Association have put together a killer weekend surrounding New Year's Eve. It will take place from Saturday December 30 until Monday, January 1 in Geneseo, NY which is the town I live in. It's just south of Rochester.

Here's the info:

Hack Spot: I have a gym on SUNY Geneseo's campus reserved for the weekend. Right now the times it will be open for us are:
Saturday 7-10pm
Sunday noon-10
Monday noon-5

If lots of people are showing up on Saturday then I can get the gym reserved for a little longer. Like 5-10.

Party Locale: My house! Or another house nearby. we'll see. Depends on what everyone wants to do.

Confirmed Attendees:
The Rochester Footbag Association
Chris Mike Matt Paul Aric
Plus our newest members
Doug Ian John Bobby Ben

Also
Pat Thomsen
Ben Rea
Will Digges
Pat Tallon
Scott Bevier and Aiden

Cameron, NYC is about a 6 hour drive from Rochester.

Pat, it's on!

We are definitely doing this, in fact. Details are unclear, but we know for sure that we'll have shred space for the weekend and a KILLER time partying.

More details soon. I'll update later, but please post if you think you can come so we can get an early idea for attendance.

Are we in good spirits with Bush Mango, even with the stupid incident that happened at last year's NYJ? Or is there another venue to keep people warm?

I don't know if I can make the trip. I definitely don't have the expenses to pay for my trip up to Rochester, and I don't know if there's any interest in NYFA to go this year. Still, I guess I can make a sponsor bag for this event if you want. :P

I'm 99% sure I can't make it. I hope it goes well, cause I had fun last year. (If you do Shred30 this year, send me the vids and I'll score them for you. ).

Hope to see you guys in the spring at RIT, and maybe at Cornell?

excellent work on the shred spot, that was the only hurdle that wasn't at least planned out in full. that gym will rock for an event.

Way to go RFA for getting this shit together!!! this is going to be a sick new year's footbag party! Chris, it makes me really psyched to see you spearheading this one in Geneseo. It's great to see more members of the RFA taking responsibility to make cool shit happen.

Count me in, and save me a couch... I'll stitch a prize bag.

T-SHIRT LOGO WANTED!

If you have an idea for a t-shirt logo for this event, please post a link to it in this thread. Someday next week, once there is a more definite head count and a logo is selected, I will order t-shirts. Aric/Matt, where did you guys get t-shirts from before? I only know of T-shirt Express in Rochester on University Avenue.

Peace.

I'm in. I hope I can make the entire weekend. Staying for all three days may be a problem but I'll work on it as soon as I'm back home.

YO NEW JERZEY, NYFA, ERIE, TORONTO, MONTREAL, BRANTFORD, AND KINGSTON!!!!!

WHAT THE FUCK?! Is there an echo in this thread?

you all must come. Chris Dean has made special arrangements (some that he hasn't posted about ;) ), and I want everyone to enjoy it.

We're going to shred and drink in the new year. we have a phat shred space at a state college, a place to party, crash space for everyoneand access to alcohol. What more do we need?

motherfuckin hype hype hype! This has potential for being a major east coast new year shred event! Last year was ridic. Let's make this year even better, and honor chris's efforts by taking advantage of them!
