i'm quick to anger, so instead of having at them i often keep a freedom on hand, toss it to hecklers and say "Here. Why don't you show me how it's done?" that tends to shut them up.

but really, in the last couple years i don't think i have gotten any negative comments, other than a 5 year old who said "my cousin is better than you."

i should have asked who his cousin was, maybe it was jorden's cousin or something.

So i live in america and I've never been dissed, even for playing hacky sack. Hack was like cool at my high school or something, lol, seemed like all the 'popular' kids occasionally played it too. I've still got respect from a lot of old friends for my hack skills, i even send them vids on occasion to their enjoyment. Nowadays when i'm playing in urban public areas, some people will stop and watch for a while. I think it all has to do with how hacky sack is percieved in your region. Most people around here either don't know what it is, or think its cool.

lol, i have people walk up to me and ask me to do this trick all the time. There like 'do that one trick where the hack goes back over your head'. I always enjoy the smiles on their faces. :D

Also if you have any lakes nearby, you should play near the beach. Sun, sand and bikinis = awesum spot to display footbag.

yeah i feel what andrew said. i've had at least 3 random hecklers yell shit about having a head to head hacky sack battle. i LOVE hearing that because i immediately take them up on the offer, and they know they have to since they already brought it up in front of their friends (of course they're always with their friends...i've never been heckled by a lone individual) so they step up to the plate, kick it once and fuck up, and then i always seem to get so in the zone because i know how good it will feel to make them look bad, so i usually throw down some real nice shit, and 90% of the time their friends wind up heckling the original hecklers.

little kids ALWAYS claim to know someone better.

I don't like playing on beaches. Its really tough because you don't have good balance in the sand...Could just be my fat ass not having any balance but...oh well

Oh, i mean like the cement walk by a beach, not in the sand. :) Although footbag net in the sand does sound fun. :D

Recently I've taken quite a bit of crap for what I do. The shoes especially draw a lot of negative attention, but you know what, I've decided I don't really care anymore. If people are narrow minded enough to insult something just because they don't understand it, then they're small enough to ignore. :D :D

I got heckled by some ten year olds in Welles Park once. They were like "nice hackysack" in their cruel child voices. And I was like "nice insult" in my derisive cooler than you voice.

I think I really got the better of them.
