Could i do this in a comp.
Could i do this in a comp.
Well I when I first started out I shredded with no shoes but then people kept talking about shoes so I started shredding with shoes but I wanted to know if they would allow me to shred with out shoes in comps and stuff
Yeah there are no rules about footwear that I am aware of, so you could definitely shred in whatever you like, including bare feet. The head judge or tournament director could stop you from doing so at their discretion, (presumably they might for safety or insurance reasons), so it would probably be a good idea to check with them before competing, but I'd be confident it would be ok in at least 95% of circumstances.

Kevin Regamy is a barefoot player for the most part, but he did his sick 3 in shoes. Dave Clavens was MCing though and he was like "Do you want to take your shoes off?" and they were all surprised when he decided to do it in shoes. I think it would have been entirely fine for him to his whole comp in bare feet, and his big threes were all toe to toe tricks.
...huuuuuuuuuuge toe to toe tricks, I might add
you could definetaly comptete barefoot if you wanted to. I think it's more a matter of shredding in general that might call for shoes. Unless you have Matt Cross-pockets in your ankles, clipper in bare feet is super hard and different from in shoes. Barefoot clipper is cought right next to your acutall akle bone, as opposed to normal clipper which is cought on the instep of your foot, so it'll make tricks different for you. If clippers are really awkward for you, shred30s will be harder for you than everyone else because of the extra adds that come from clipper catches and pdx components. Nobody will call you on it though, if you want to play barefoot.
