Watched half of it, seem's like Takumi worked on clipper form. Looks less "lazy" then before, relies less on the ankles

Ok well, thats the biggest understatement ive ever heard in my life. This is by FAR the best Takumi video ive ever seen. Great links, good music. And no where near messin around. Props on the shred.

Well he hit double scorpion's tail in the last video...I thought for sure he'd hit triple this time around

Based on what he posts on the Japanese forum, and based on his comment that he was tired and not happy with the strings, I think my assessment was more than fair.

I was never trying to be rude man, relax. All I said is that i didn't know what he said before I simply disagreed with you when you said he was messing around. I've just honestly never seen a better performance by Takumi from all the great vids that have been posted of him.

After watchin the vid, I was in wow when I wrote that it was an understatement, because to me it was, in that moment, a big understatement. I actually thought you were being sarcastic when you said it wasn't his best, so that we wouldn't be so pumped for the vid, and then blam!
The vid turns out way better then expected and gets you pumped.

I was just writing down my opinions. It sucks that you bash them all the time.

Ken doesn't bash your opinions all of the time. He does what all the coolest, really down to earth people do on modified; say it like it is, or in other words, speak the truth.

There was also another post in the hardest link thread, and i wrote that i was new to it, and i wanted to right down a link, i wrote down reverse double twirl, so ripstein osis> double spinning clipper. Which is infact nowhere near impossible.Like ive been playing for only 3 years, and i can hit both thoses tricks, so someone thats been playing a few years more can for sure hit that. Then Ken sarcastically wrote that it is also hard to hit supernemesisx2. Thats cool, like if i were a newbie in the sport, that would turn me away from modified, id think that everybody talked like that.

Ive heard great things about Ken, and I know that hes a cool guy, just getting these replies from the one of the coolest, down to earth people, as you say, and I can't disagree with, was unexpected. As well as telling me to stfu. That's not cool.

IMO, spitting out the truth is not always the right thing to do and it doesn't make anyone cool. Being polite, however, usually works better most of the time.

I'm on this one with Ogden. I don't think he did anything terrible to deserve this kind of treatment and yes, statements like that would turn a newbie away from modified.

I apologize for overreacting in my last post. I feel like I answered politely in my first response, and your response gave me the impression you were just provoking me for the sake of being a dick. That said, I was stressed out with other things when I made my second response (I think it is understandable that I interpreted your post as a provocation, especially because Takumi himself wrote that the video was not his best stuff). You say you didn't mean your post as a provocation, and I accept that now, though it was far from clear at the time. So sorry for overreacting.

As for spitting truth, I often think of a thread that was once on modified which asked: "who is the nicest person on modified." Somebody mentioned me, somebody else objected vehemently, and finally Eli chipped in by saying that while I am not always the nicest person on modified, I "keep it real." I often try and keep that in mind when I'm tempted to bite my tongue on difficult subjects. I'm at the stage in my footbag career where I don't have to prove anything to anybody, don't have to kiss anybody's ass, and don't have to be nice to everybody if I don't want to. I've turned down BAP 3 times; I don't care if somebody on modified thinks I suck or am good. I've thrown 8 tournaments and had a hand in the development of the Japanese scene. If I turn off a newbie by my behavior on modified (and I take this into account; I knew Derrick isn't a newb), I feel like I've still had a net positive effect on the number of footbaggers in the world. If I feel a trick is "the" or somebody is off topic, I won't hesitate to call them on it. And I won't apologize for it.

In this case I overreacted because I misinterpreted Derrick's intent, and I apologize.
