Whats your favorite trick/concept? and why

Post by EoghanMcDowell »

Just thought this would be a fun little topic.

My all time favorite concept would have to be osis, just because of the sheer amount of tricks that were spawned from that one simple move. When it comes to favorite trick, i would think it's a tie between Torque, Blender, and Dyno. All three of those tricks just seem like the greatest tricks ever, and they feel sick when hit. Especially torque.

i love atomic moves.... i think its the coolest set ever. its like a combo between kung fu and an uptime component. atomsmasher, eggplant, legbeater, and atomic whirl are just sick looking, i think.

I agree with Henry.

There are few concepts with the subtlety, grace, and precision timing that are embodied - nay - manifestly incarnated - by upg.

Have you ever seen Lon Smith do an all upg run? What about Vasek's breakthrough 2003 diving upg record attempt in front of sky sports Australia?

Pfft. Newbs gotta learn to use the search function.

Upg is fine and good, but I'm gonna go ahead and say double hip pivots to answer to the question. Smasher, p drifter, and the like. These moves make footbag beautiful and unique to me.

Shake that booty.

My favorite concept is definitely spinning/double spinning. I like other stuff too, but the reason why I like spinning is because it's very relaxing (at least for me) and I can just have fun with the bag for as long as I want to. Also, it's not as bad for your joints as other concepts I believe.

My favorite tricks would be vortex, mobius, void. I like them cuz they feel great when you hit them obviously.

I should post my upg story in my blog. That was probably the highlight of worlds 08. OK, I'm gonna post that story today.

My answer to this thread: these days, I'd say it's double spinning. It's fun, challenging, crowds understand it and are impressed by the right reasons, and its still rare enough to be somewhat unique. I also like it because I'm not a particularly good spinner, so doing double spins feels even more badass.

I think my favorite concept is whirls, just because they are one of my biggest strong points in my game.

one of my faves is updog lol. Ironically I was reading henry's thing as U P G as in the letters, so it even fooled me for a second haha.

Illusions are great and so are quantums. I think maybe it's because these concepts come more naturally to me than for some people and they're not the standard mirage and atomics that most people will stick to. Plus the feeling of illusion really is cooler than mirage for me.
