i would suggest not to go to strahov! anyone who has seen the movie hostel, knows what will happen with you over there!
oh sure this happened in bratislava, but come on, it's eastern europe! there are criminals everywhere...

I have lost the good place with jacuzzi and kitchen, I am finding smaller places that are still available for about 210 euro for the week, please respond or get stuck in one of the afformentioned torture chambers.

How are the czech police with people sleeping in alleyways/parks/under foliage/behind dumpsters? This seems like the most realistic way for me to actually be able to afford worlds and I'm more than willing.

and also, has anyone tried hopping trains in Europe? Freight specifically?

and and also, has anyone tried dumpster diving in Europe? Do they get rid of as much excess as we do? I highly doubt it. I've been on a big dumpster dive kick lately.

wow!!! I am definately posting to the wrong tax bracket here. They DO NOT waste food or anything else in europe like we do. As far as the other stuff there jails are not nearly as nice as ares.

lol! Sweet!! I'm with you, man. Honestly, I will probably have slept behind dumpsters and such on several occasions by the time I get to Worlds. (I'm travelling Europe all summer) I'd be willing to Tramp it some more. Hardcore!!

hopping freight trains is hard in europe and there aint much of a culture.
But instead drivers are not as scared of hitchhikers being murderers, so its way easier to get a ride.

I guess it would be possible to sleep at the shred location since its a sportscomplex/stadium thing. Just jump a fence and sleep safely.

Also, people will probably sleep in the daytime anyways. taking naps. because of the nightly action.

You wont find nice stuff in dumpsters and i personally would not recommend to sleep on the streets.

This is what WFC 2003 in Prague looked like at 3am:

And remember: Stadium-Sleep is good for your shred!

Do as Rippin does and you'll be bap'ed and hof'ed in no time.

However, theres actually more than one Hostel in the Complex where Strahov is located. If you walk a few more meters there are Student Accomodations which can be booked for a Week or so with no Problems. those were cheaper and much nicer than Hostel-Strahov itself.

Ted: Sorry for fu**in around in your Thread. I can give you the Adress of the Place where i stayed with my GF 2 years ago. It was Basic too but MUCH better than Strahov. It costs like 25.- per night for a 2-Bed-Room with nice Showers. PM me and ill look after the Flyer that has to be around my Desk somewhere. Problem is that it was located south-west of the center of prague.. so pretty much on the other side of the city.

Looks like the venue for the comp has changed and the official website now recommends different accommodation - http://www.footbag.org/worlds2008/accommodation.php
But I'm on the other side of the world at the moment so maybe I'm not the best person to listen to.....
I'm getting very excited though - I can't wait

you're right. the new spot is the one we played at in 2001 and 2003. so the strahov is pretty much on the other side of the city. theres a tram going there but its not easy to get to strahov late at night.
