1. Great to see you playing at such a high level after injury.
2. I've fallen way behind on footbag videos because of work and work travel, so I'm just now catching up on your vids. Thanks for posting vids, it's so much better than just reading highlights.
3. Props on the swirling spinning stuff, especially swirling spinning ducking.
Challenge: swirling mobius b2b.

Nick.....thanks man.....that run was the reason that I swaped the audio track for a tune because my sister was in town and talking to me during that entire run and I actually answer back a couple of times...I dont know how I didnt drop right away. glad you like the music. I am going to start (like Ken has mentioned before) plugging in my Yamaha motif into the computer and playing the soundtracks myself soon
Ken.
1. thanks man....I have been working on my form and 4 contact mirror drills alot lately and trying to stay healthy
2. I try posting beacause it helps me remember more about the session and gives others a chance to see what I worked on that day
3. this challenge is one of the main goals that I have for my game. I can hit the trick both sides but they feel slightly different....I know I would have to start on my left clipper... Also, Outsider once gave me a challenge that I am just starting to get to....swirling spinning osis repeat and this is one of the things I am going to have to dial before I hit swirling mobius b2b. I have only gotten mobius b2b a couple of times, but honestly with a swirl it changes the whole combo for me. i will begin working towards this. I have daydreamed about hitting this and then posting a swirling mobius to swirling mobius headcount in the shred section with my name and a video.
I will start using both sides more in my game trying to start more runs with it and hit it midstring. Thanks for the challenge.....you are on.
I am also beginning to work torquescrew beacause I have only hit moby dick a couple of times ( it is not consitant at all) and I really want to hit swirling mobiusscrew......I footed it by luck twice......I was so close , but just lucky
Ken.

SHRED HARD!
Played on sunday.
After trying swirling gyro double pickup about 25 times the day before..I still had this soreness that was bothering me....so now I will take a couple of days off to stretch and this get back. I did start eating strict and working out yesterday though... Ripped and light is the goal. (probably take me 6 weeks)
session highlights on sunday with Rob creel
- food and whirling swirl in the same run first try
- marius, both p torques in the same run
- flip ripstein>hand catch> 4 times in a row.
- runs with multiple guiltless and tripless 4 contact mirror drills
-swirling spinning butterfly to start 2 runs
-worked dlos and ss dlos
-Finally hit fog and it felt easy.
-run with alot of ducks and diving osis repeat

Today I had a short session to film some whirls to send to J M because I need to better understand this whirl thing that I suck at. I warmed up, hit a couple of runs, made sure to stretch really good and then just did whirls.
I know that during my left leg dexes I crank my foot in more and my right foot is straighter. It is also seen when comparing blender strong to blender flip. I can only hit whirling swirl setting off right clipper with left leg whirling and only hit Food setting off right clipper with right leg dexing. Looking forward to tips. J, thanks for your time. I will work on whatever you tell me to.
one new trick--
fairy swirling opp butterfly ( way easier than swirling opp butterfly )

^thanks...
I tried fairy swirling opp butterfly 3 times and hit it..never thought of it before but might start using it now. yes I have hit frankestein and also fairly ripsteining dragon.
The dancing man is my grandpa. We were talking about footbag being good exercise and he got inspired. You can also see him doing air weights during the video. If you only heard the audio that I was trying to block out , you would piss yourself.
I posted J's advise here so I can refer to it more easily. Soon I will tape again. Also thinking about what to hit for an upcoming comp.
here is what JM wrote:
Regular whirl:
- relax your dexing leg
- do the first half of the dex faster. think of your feet like pistons -- when one foot is touching the ground, the other is at its highest point. when your clipper leg plants you should be at the apex of your dex. here the bag is also at its apex!
- point your foot, and crank in inside position during the dex (put your foot in the optimal "support foot balance shape" when you plant it after the dex)
- dexing thigh higher
- bring the knee higher and more parallel with the ground. from a side view it should not protude forwards. pushing off with the support foot gives you the verticality of the whirl dex, but the dex itself is almost completely horizontal. do all the dexing around 135 degrees relative to where your hips are facing
- whirl is two switches of the feet -- two components that take the exact same amount of time to complete
- extend the dexing leg first. don't bring the knee forward or in towards your stomach. you're jamming yourself.
- no extra bounce after the stall (watch your footage -- it's small, but noticeable!)
Blurry whirl:
- more even rhythm with plants. right now your first two plants are syncopated relative to the third. try to put more even spaces between all three plants
- you are one of those players that 'slides' when they shuffle. this means the bag is going more or less straight up and down and your body is moving around it. in other words, the footbag is playing you instead of the other way around! the cure for this is in the hips, and bag placement. visualize your next trick, and simply put the bag in the location of the body where it will end up. for blurry whirl, this means setting forward on a low arc towards the other side, and pivoting the hips about 90 degrees toward the bag. make sure it's far enough away from your body that you don't jam yourself with the knee.
- also, try holding your stalls and angling the foot before the release for extra precision for getting the perfect arc.
Any questions just ask.
