Your awsome, nuf said. I'll say more anyway. What you are doing is awsome. some people don't know how hard it can be to lose weight once it establishes its self. I weighed 280 at my unhealthiest and it was awful. I felt like there was no hope to be able to lose it. then I found footbag and it tought me to work and like it. I lost about 50 pounds playing but had bad knees so I had to stop playing. I proceeded to lose another 30 doing my job. Then got back into footbag because I was lighter and my knees now seemed able to handle the stress of footbag. If I would have had the work ethic you do when I was younger I would have never had to stop playing. There is no alternative for working hard, and that is a lesson everyone can learn from you. Keep up the good work. As far as work ethic goes your an inspiration to me.
p.s.I was thinking of trying p90x, do you think it is worth it or should I just do my own workout regimen? I also do have bad knees so how is the strain on your knees with the workouts your doing?

I like to play.
I want to play good.

First, thanks so much for the kind words. That kind of motivation means a lot to me. I really think the BeachBody workouts are worth it. Everything I've been doing has been beachbody. Ten Minute Trainer, and now Power 90. I plan to do P90X next. I'm not sure how bad your knees are... mine have some issues too. I would say if you can play footbag, you can do these programs. I haven't looked really closely at P90X for some time. I started it about a year ago and couldn't do it so I quit. That's why I decided to do Power 90 first this time. It's a program created before P90X and is a lot easier, but I feel will prepare me.fatbagger wrote: p.s.I was thinking of trying p90x, do you think it is worth it or should I just do my own workout regimen? As far as versus your own workout program? It would depend what yours consists of. For me, my own would be too easy to shorten, modify, skip, ect. With the videos I need to go to the end. If I don't go to the end I have to really admit that I failed by turning it off. Therefore, I go to the end. lol The other thing is that for me when I try to workout on my own I always end up not sure what to do and stuff like that. And I know I'd miss huge groups of muscles due to not thinking about a total body workout.

Tomorrow is a rest day, so that means this is the end of Week 2. Feeling good. I'm able to get through all the workouts. Go me. Getting stronger. I promised myself I wouldn't step on the scale until Day 30, so I'm really looking forward to that and seeing what I'm down to. Ideally, I'd love to come in under 200 lbs. It's been a long time since I was there.

Power 90: Day 14
-Rest day.
Unfortunately I don't rest well. I biked to work for the first time this year. That felt good. I enjoy biking. Listening to music or books and pedaling. It's relaxing. The way home was tough due to a strong head wind, but it only makes me stronger. That isn't what ruined my rest day. I'm still looking for a new workout partner at lunch and a girl is getting married and decided she wants to lose weight, so she's going to start working out with me. Me and Vianna also enjoyed our second last workout before she leaves. We did Insanity: Core Abs. WOW! It was tough, but actually quite fun. It's short enough that I think we will do it a fair bit. For a rest day it was really quite active and I shouldn't do that. It doesn't give my body the time it needs to heal.
In other news, I'm currently looking for new work and I applied for a Merchandising Position with Pepsi Co. I'm a fan of Pepsi and even have some collectable's on display in my kitchen. I did a phone interview with HR today and the Rep told me I seemed like a good fit, and the job sounded great to me. She was going to recommend me to the Hiring Manager. The job was $3/hour than I make now, and a lot more self motivated. Benefits, mileage, Healthy Living Allowance ($150/month to spend on bettering your health eg gym membership). Sounded great.
She called back later saying the Full Time position has been filled. She offered me part time for even more $/hour, but not enough hours.
I'm pretty bummed out about it. I'm still thinking about taking the PT position and finding something else to subsidize it with. The HR Rep said she'll hold onto my resume and call if FT opens up again.

Nothing to complain about workout wise. I've been thinking about footbag since my session yesterday. I want to play more regularly, but really feel I need to focus on my overall fitness before I can start to play more footbag. I need to get to a more ideal weight. I don't feel too bad after doing both Sculpt 1-2 and an hour footbag session, so I may start to play footbag on some of the days I do Sculpt 1-2.
I threw out my old laver's today. My very first footbag shoes. My aunt bought them for me from worldfootbag.org. I still remember the day they came in the mail. I was so excited!! I remember my grandma being horrified as I started to cut them apart while having coffee with her. Anyways, they were long past their time. I still have a pair of laver (white and green size 9) that I'm trying to sell as I don't fit them anymore. I patched up my two bags that had holes in them. I don't know if my absire mini is gonna make it. Might have to look at getting a new mini bag.

Toe far drifter first time
Drifter bs first time on both
a tiltless run of over 10 contacts
When I started my session I wanted to focus on working towards my summer goals. Long tiltless strings. I had also been daydreaming about drifter and I figured I could hit it soon so I wanted to have a few looks at it. I hit toe far drifter not too far into the session. I paused my session and watched Anz Trickz on drifter and proceeded to hit drifter on both sides. This is a major milestone for me in a few ways:
-first new move since my return a few months ago
-first time ever to learn a new move on both sides in a session
It feels like I'm starting to get some of my lost skill back. I don't think I'm where I was at my best, but I'm approaching and I'm determined to break through and be better than I ever have before. I really think my fitness training is helping with my shred in a huge way.
keep kicking

Tomorrow is rest, so this is the end of week 3. My diet could be better, but I'm not doing terrible. Was at McDonald's today and a bacon cheeseburger was calling my name, but I resisted and got a "slim" muffin. I don't think it's that good for me either, but probably better than the grease burger.

Hello blog. Rest day from Power 90 today, but I still biked to work and did a workout with my new workout partner at lunch.
I planned a mostly cardio based workout and really enjoyed it. Sweated like crazy. I think I should focus on cardio more since my muscles get a good workout on the sculpt days of Power 90. Tomorrow is a pretty big day for me, fitness wise. It'll be my 100th scheduled workout in a row. I plan on getting up early and doing my workout before starting my day and then celebrating tomorrow night with a footbag session. Hope to hit drifter again a few times on each side.

I got up early to work out, grabbed my gear and then thought... Eff it. I'll do it later and crawled back into bed. So I did it this afternoon. Not a huge deal as I didn't have to worry about work today, but I'm still upset at my total lack of self discipline. Anyways, did the workout. All is good. I calculated my daily calorie requirements and should be shooting for about 2350 per day which is pretty close to what I've been attempting anyways so that's good. I still plan on playing kicky sack later today. Maybe outside if it stays somewhat warm.

Thanks Ken, it feels great to have made it here and I don't plan on letting that number stop growing.
Just played footbag for about 30 minutes. Wanted to play longer, but the delivery guy showed up faster than I thought.
fairy>pixie>mirage>illusion>legover>rpt (self challenge and played out of it a few contacts with a woot of joy)
20 infinities
a few drifters on both sides. Still feels very awkward.
I guess the first highlight also was like a 12-13 tiltless run which goes toward my summer goals. 30 Tiltless consistently and 50 tiltless record.
Random GUnit question: Do you (anyone reading that wears them) mod them in anyway to keep the tongue in place. Mine keeps crumbling up and falling down under my laces. I've had a similar issue in other shoes but it's way worse in my G Units. I know my Quantums have a built in little lace holder, should I build one for my G Units?

Had a horrible evening. While still at work, my wife texts me and says there is water on the floor in our closet and I need to deal with it when I get home. I came home to find that there was no water dripped from above which means, our basement suite is flooding. The wetness had expanded from the closet to close to our bed by the time I got home. I called the landlord because I'm not at all handy and had no idea what to do. He came at like 8:45pm and found out the sump pump had quite working and the water from recent rain and melting snow had overflowed the resovoir and seeped up under the floor. We vacuumed up some water and drained the sump area and then installed a new sump pump. My bedroom is still drenched and I shall sleep on the couch tonight. The landlord left at about 10:15. I didn't start my workout until 10:45, but still rocked it. To top my evening off, my phone messed up and I'm needing to spend hours rebuilding it.
