hey guys, i'v made my best scout performance ever i think and i recorded it, i wonder if you would like to see it or not ? on cp_5gorge, i made 146 points and we lost. the top pointer in the winning was a spy with 100 points, the 4 others mvp's had around 60. would you like to see it ?? i used the sandman a lot. Ken, i know you don't like the sandman but it might give you some tips on how to use it.

its a 40 round, so it would be like 50 Go before the compression, so i won't do it, that would be to long to render. i can upload the .dem tho and then, you just need to play it in game ...

I haven't been playing TF2 for a while. I don't even have it installed on my new computer. Do you still have that demo?

Mike Green got me a mic for xmas, and last night I finally figured out how to use it. As if I didn't already play this game too much...ugh. Anyway, I'm hoping this new feature will help make me a stronger medic, as I should be able to communicate way better and faster now. Man I hope this doesn't get me even more addicted.

On an unrelated note, I've been working on building up my inventory through savvy trading. I'm now up to 12 keys, and I think my goal is to get to 15-17 and make a play at a low-tier spy unusual. Or maybe I'll just get a strange sapper and some nice miscs for my characters. Overall I'm pretty happy with my current loadouts. I get a lot of compliments for my medic loadout especially: orbit planets grimme hatte, blighted beak, and foppish physician. But yeah, it'd be kinda cool to have unusuals for 7/9 of the classes.

Thanks Julien- first I want to make a play at either getting another unusual, or upgrading one of my current ones. Depending how much I have left after that, I'll figure out how I want to upgrade my loadouts.

Speaking of which, yesterday I made an offer on an orbiting planets private eye. I was offering my current demo unusual plus keys and sweets, and was excited because I thought the hat would be an upgrade for my demo, and also solve the problem of giving me a spy unusual. I made my offer, then went to footbag. When I came home I saw the owner had accepted my friend request, which was promising, but then it turns out they sold the hat to somebody else. If I had come home 30 minutes earlier, I would have had the hat. Crap. I guess I'll just have to keep looking, and keep making offers. Patience is usually rewarded, so I just gotta be patient.

In good hats news, yesterday I got my best item drop ever: a charmer's chapeau! Not only that, but when I checked the level I saw it was 69! What a crazy drop. I now have my 2 favorite spy hats (chapeau and fez), though I may try and sell them since I won't use either once I have an unusual for spy. Even though spies are disguised 95% of the time, I think I want a spy unusual more than a sniper or scout one at this point. I don't play much scout, and if it's not a milkman unusual I'd probably die instantly anyway. And for sniping, I think unusuals tend to draw too much attention anyway.

I can train you as scout if you want :) when i'll get back home, i'll post the best scout tutorial i know. I use a lot of things in that tutorial. ie: i jump over my oponents, even pyros, pyros dont expect that and it's VERY effective

On another note, my sandman has more than 6900 kills now :D

I'll check those out after work. I think I'd play a lot more scout if I had a strange holy mackerel....otherwise I only really scout when it's a CTF map.

What are your current primary loadouts for your characters?

For me:

Scout: Milkman (which I crafted), haunted spooky sleeves, stereoscopic shades, wicked nasty shortstop, server clearing mad milk, and holy mackerel.
Soldier: N&B Chieftain Challenge, professor specs, menpo, face melting blackbox, wicked nasty shotgun, unremarkable market gardener
Pyro: Massed flies brain slug (brown), last breath, professor specs, server clearing degreaser, wicked nasty shotgun, totally ordinary axetinguisher
Demoman: Bubbling scotch bonnet, dangeresque glasses, menpo, spectacularly lethal grenade launcher, server clearing sticky launcher, somewhat lethal bottle
Heavy: Smoking Ushanka, toss proof towel, prof specs, truly feared natascha, sandvich, GRU
Engie: Smoking texas ten gallon (black), prof specs, license to maim badge, gore spattered frontier justice, wrangler, face melting jag
Sniper: Spine twisting skull (which i crafted), garlic flank stake, license to maim badge, positively inhumane sniper rifle, razorback, mildly menacing tribalman's shiv
Medic: Orbiting planets grimme hatte, blighted beak (level 42), foppish physician, spectacularly lethal syringe gun, face melting medigun, spectacularly lethal ubersaw
Spy: Familiar fez, vintage camera beard, gen distinguished rogue, rage inducing knife, uncharitable diamondback, spectacularly lethal dead ringer.

Still stockpiling keys in the hope I can get a new unusual or upgrade one of my current ones. But for the most part pretty happy with my set up. My one regret was not getting a strange sapper before the 40 crate retired. It was at the point where I could have snagged one for 8-9 keys probably, but now that the 40 is gone everybody jacked up their prices. Blergh.

Bought my 7th unusual hat today: a blizzardy storm private eye! Cost me 28 keys, which isn't bad since I think it's worth 1.8 buds. Anyway, stoked that I now have hats for 7 of my classes. I can also now mix up my unusual hats for medic and demo too. Just wanted to share, cause I'm really happy about it. :D
