What!? More Worlds Footage? (Semi Finals Routines)

Gareth, isnt one purpose of the forum to discuss issues that are important to our sport? obviously almost no-one here can do anything about it, but there are ppl on this forum who were stung by the judging at Worlds and i think its a perfectly valid topic for discussion... with any luck someone who HAS the power to change stuff will read the discussions, see that there is an issue, and do something about it

Damn, sorry for getting political, but we're living in a democracy right?
And in a democracy everybody has the possibility to change something. either by voting or getting politically active themselves, rising through the hierarchy until you reach a stage where you can change the stuff yourself.
And in the IFPA we have a hierarchy that is about zip inches deep. Meaning there's a handfull of people who do stuff and then there's hundreds who do nothing. So all, EACH AND EVERY ONE, of you guys and girls on this forum are able to change things. All you need to do is get involved and take some responsibility over what is happening with the sport around you, around your town, around your state around your country and around the world.

With the support and help IFPA is getting at the moment there's not a chance of a snowball in hell that anything discussed on these forums will change anything. Why? Because there are so many more important issues to be adressed and the IFPA is hopelessly understocked in personel as it is. Again I remind you that for 8 years!!! the official IFPA Rules have not been updated (at least not officially and in print), simply because of lack of people feeling responsible, getting involved and helping out.

It may be a long way to reach our goal, but it is never too far to the next step. But what is the next step? We need to identify ways of making ourselves known to the IFPA and we need a solid method of comunicating our ideas and goals.

Any ideas? We could utilize one of the many internet petition services available to get some signatures to VOICE an opinion, but that would only let them know that something needs to be done.

We need an action plan.

He is absolutly right, too many shreders leave responsibility of the wellbeing of the sport up to others and expect everything to be organised for them by the select few dareing enough to do it.
If you dont like whats going on get in there and do something about it. I couldent encourage people more to get into the local shred scene in their town and get it organised, and not only that get into it on an international scale. If your good, offter to judge, if your good at organising, offer to organise, if you have contacts and can make things happen, offter to advertise for things. If we are gonna make this sport big we need everyone to do BIG things for the sport.

Thats my opinion anyway.

I'm glad that a few others see the point I was making.

By joining the IFPA, you're beginning to become ACTIVE IN FOOTBAG, and not just a participator. It's a beginning.

If you want a change, then get off your arse, support the sport you love and make it happen!!!

But, realy, we should get back on track.

Yeah I won the year 2000 intermediate :) It was only 15 seconds too early routine, so because intermediate routines are 1:30, it was 1:15 long :) Now I do only full lenght routines, don't worry :)

For Jane's posts and replys -> I can't praise enough the smooth, accurate and just perfect judging of euros. Read more of it in max's thread (judging at world's or smth like that)

That is great to hear and I wonder what it was that made it so much better. Afterall, World's and Euros are both IFPA sanctioned events, so shouldn't the judging systems have been the same? Just curious...I swore to myself I wasn't going to post anymore on this topic

I wouldn't say we didn't have any judging issues at euros!
It was well run and smooth for most parts, true, but in my eyes not as perfect as jere describes

but i'm actually waiting for the exact figures to be published to start my rampage

hey guys, I downloaded this and I only get sound. I tried playing it with windows media player and it says "error downloading codec" and I also tried playing it with AOL media player and it says "unable to render video; DX50; Decompressor not found. What should I do? I saw all of these in person, but I want to save them!

"Bad Dreams" by Lyrics Born is the track, someone mentioned it earlier on before all the stuff about judging took over the thread
