Excited about your game?

Post by Senor Grommet »

Who is excited about her/his game right now? Why?

Im really excited about my game most recently because im learning flipside furious set, im gaining more symposium leg strength, and my legs feel faster when I attempt blurry whirls. Thats all it takes for me.
My name: Jeremy Mirken, AKA Chocolatey Shatner, AKA jerk enemy rim.

Not happy with my game.
My knee is Fu(ked, so simple moves like mirage and illusion is not a good thing for me.
However, my clippers are slowly improving.

But right now I justed excited of playing and having fun desperatly, trying to hit a  Legover  :!:

This poll could not have come at a better time! Right now I'm very excited about my game. For the longest time I was struggling to get all the basics down good enough so I can shred decent guiltless, but it seemed to take forever. Well, after Euros and Worlds I've had couple sessions and noticed a huge difference! So I think I've finally made the necessary improvements and can now concentrate on learning something new as well. Footbag is great!

Yeah I suck so I'm just going back to basics again... or for the first time, or whatever. I'm trying to throw clippers into my runs, because I never did that before. I'm so big foot that I don't use my left leg much. But I'm working on that.

I voted for the first one. Because when I do school and practice moves, I see a lot of improvement.

I think I'm moderatly happy with my game. It been up and down a lot, so I don't want to give myself false hope but recently I've been playing really well and today I hit two really cool new moves. I can see I'm definitly improving but I guess I'm a little impatient - I don't think I'm improving as fast as I'd like to be.

i voted the second one but wanted the last option too... some aspects of my game (clipper flatness, crap looking and inconsistent butterflies that result from it, and non-existent osis) get me really down
they are just horrible
but then i learn new things like Atomic which i couldnt do say, 1.5 months ago.. now they are fairly cool for me anyway, so that makes me happy...stepping is getting better i think

my style is pretty shit tho, i think i am messy when i play

I'm not happy with my game at all. Going to World's made me realize how bad my skill level is at. I've recognized that I need to go back to the basics and school the hell out of them. I don't know why I never realized before that I shouldn't be hitting ducking/diving/zulu, stepping and nuclear (only clipper, don't get too excited about the nuclear ;)) before I can even hit 10 legover > legover or pixie > pixie. My game is shit and I hate it.

my game is progressing slowly. I have just been working on basics while im in British Columbia. It seems that my clippers have suffered abit but im slowly bringly them back. My first try at a swirl was magnificent. I just about hit it. and my first attempt at a leg beater went pretty smoothly too.

At the moment, my game has seemed to greatly slow down. I've been hitting smaller moves that i should've hit long before and my strings aren't getting any bigger. My strings aren't getting any more difficult either. Perhaps its just me though...But personally, i think i'm at a stand still at the moment and am waiting for some giant break through. :)

My leg speed is definitely increasing, and my flip pixie is always becoming less flip...though it's still clearly my flip, unfortunately...

I put Slowly but Surely, as it were.

I think the one thing that's holding me back presently is my endurance. I break a sweat so easy, and I run out of breath on the 7th contact. My string length is pretty bad for that reason, as well it's tough to have long practice sessions when I'm constantly tiring out.

To be honest, I'm not very happy with my game.

For starters, I lost my touch at a hell of a lot of things I used to be real good at (Whirls, Pixie / stepping / atomic sets, double downs could be better and faster, Torques are messy, spinning could be done faster and with more balance... the list goes on).

I haven't been able to do very much due to work and the heat we've been having, which I blame partially for my situation. It makes me want to sit and do nothing really, but I try and force myself to shred. Like Kevin, I've seemed to lost a lot of endurance and by the time I'm done my warm-up I'm already thinking about calling it a nite.

Once school starts I know I'll start to pick up again. but until then... :(
