Today I had a shred with my new cam. I wasnt playing very well because I havent shredded properly in like 3 weeks. My runs are pretty blanch. My highest was like a 9 contact guiltless run, it looked pretty good though, my style looks better then it did a few months ago. I came pretty close to tomahawk again and im starting to get closer to Janiwalker again (footed it months ago but havent bothered trying it since). I also hit 2 good looking spinning clippers. If you have been reading my blog you should probably know i cant spin for nuts. I also came pretty close to spinning whirl. I also fell over attempting a move.
Peace.

Had an alright shred today. It started off okay. I was hitting moves and bailing to osis and my osis seemed pretty strong. Then i tried going consecutive and i couldnt do them for crap. Then i went back to doing moves then bailing to osis and i couldnt do them then either. So that was weird. My most was like 10 consecutive.
I hit Ducking Clipper > Osis > Butterfly > Ducking Clipper > Osis, which felt cool. Then Alex and Jesse were giving me challenges on MSN and i hit Spinning Clipper > Ripwalk > Spinning clipper. That was the very first time i hit Spinning Clipper bsos.
Then i broke my Ripwalk record and hit 7 consecutive which felt cool.
Then on my first attempt of Tomahawk today I hit it and i was happy.
I have hit a fair few five adds so i thought it was time to try a 5>5.
I tried Phoenix > Tomahawk and the hacky sacky ball bounced off my foot and i was like "OHHHHHHHHHH". Then I tried Matador > Tomahawk and the same thing happened.
Then i tried Matador > Stepping Far Symp Reverse Whirl, and i nailed it.
I was happy and i celebrated by mooning my camera.
Heres the highlights for people who dont want to read the whole thing:
Highlights
Ducking Clipper > Osis > Butterfly > Ducking Clipper > Osis
Spinning Clipper > Ripwalk > Spinning Clipper
10 Consecutive Osii
7 Consecutive Ripwalks
Tomahawk
Matador > Tomahawk drop
Phoenix > Tomahawk bounce drop
Matador > Blurry Symp Rev Whirl

Dude Jesse, that was freakin ages ago.
Well i just had a shred. I tried some guiltless strings. My highest was probably 5 contacts. I havent played in a while. My strings sucked balls so i just went for big tricks. I came close to Janiwalker (other side) and Mobius.
Hrmmm.
I dont know what to do, i doubt my strings will get any better.

I had a small session today. Hit some runs with butterflies and osii. They seemed fun. Then i almost hit Dimwalk > Blur > Dimwalk > Blur, but i dropped on the last blur. I've hit that combo before but today i just tried it once or twice and i came close.
I put some spinning clippers into my runs. They are getting better. I need to work on my flip now. I landed on my ankle awkwardly attempting to hit flip spinning clipper yesterday, I slipped.
Last week I got omitted (dropped/cut from the team) from a football development squad i had been selected to play in. I've been training for it for more than a month and i received the unfortunate news a week and a bit before i actually had to go away and play. Apparently there were too many players in the team and they had to make room for the eight state players that had just come back from another carnival.
Well anyways I have another cold. This is like the third time i have gotten one in like 2 months. Does anyone have any remedy's or tricks on how to cure a sore throat?
Today I got my report card. It was better than i had expected. I got all commendables and highly commendables for maths which i'm failing
My Science teacher is a bitch, she gave me very average grades even though i put in a shitload of effort into all my assignments.
The sole on my lavers are wearing out, up near the toe. A hole is starting to appear. I don't know what to do. It makes funny noises when i shred.
Im out.

Today I had a session. It went alright. My spinning is actually getting better. My technique has improved.
Highlights:
Blur > Smear > Butterfly > Ripwalk > Spinning clipper > osis
Diving Clipper > Ducking Clipper > Diving Clipper > Ducking Clipper > Blur > Smear > Butterfly > Ripwalk
Blur > Dimwalk rpt (Not new but i was hitting it a lot today)
Yes a lot of these runs are the same.
I also footed this move that only a couple of people know about. It's pretty big for me.
Well my osii is getting crap, for some reason i just cant hit them as easy now.

Hi.
Well this is my 1000th post. And for a long time now I have been planning to make a massive post to celebrate the milestone.
I hit my first freestyle trick back in 2003 and hit some random tricks thoughout the year. I didnt take the sport seriously until last year when I got my lavers and my first 32. I found it difficult to always play by myself but I did do a little kicking with a few people from school that could hit some basic tricks, but then they lost interest after a few months.
I could not keep playing without the encouragement and help of a number of people in this footbag community. I would now like to thank these people.
Ian Pritchard - Probably the first footbagger I got to talk to. He helped me out when i was a n00b and taught me a lot of things over the net. He is currently touring Europe so i doubt he will be able to read this post for a while.
Joe Kulacz - Helped me with my whirls and other stuff. Smooth with the girls. Joe is a friend that i can talk to about nearly everything. We understand each other.
Henry Griese - Hilarious and a good guy all round. We have the same brand camera. We will shred some day.
Alex Urano - Helps me to push my game to the next level and is someone that I will look up to in the near future.
Dan Ednie - Talks me into playing more. He has also given me a training programme to help improve my game.
Gareth Williams - Awesome bloke that i respect. Gareth tried his best to help me get to Melbourne. He has also done a lot for the Australia Footbag Scene. Cheers mate
Anssi, Byrin, Kreg (Kevin Regamey, qphox), Tom Mosher, Chris May, Johnny Suderman - Guys that encourage me a lot. They hit big stuff. I can't say much else about these guys besides the fact that they are awesome people.
Colin Esplen and Chris Hanratty - The Canadians. I can talk to these guys about lots of stuff other than footbag. I enjoyed talking about guitar and music.
Ausfootbag scene (Hagesy, Dyalan, Jamieson, Jase, Scott, Foxy, Daniel, everyone else) - These people have contributed in making the Australian Footbag Scene good. They're encouraging people. The people in bold are people that talk to me on MSN or post in my blog. The footbag community is awesome.
Jeremy - Jeremy does what ever he can to try and make everything possible. He gives me advice on tricks over the net and has tried his hardest to try and get me to Melbourne next year.
There is one last person I'd like to thank and that is Jesse Malouf. I have been speaking to Jesse over the internet for a few years now. We have become pretty close. I understand him and he understands me. He encourages me to play more and he is one of the reasons that i have kept playing. We can speak of many things other than footbag. We have a lot in common.
There are many people that i havent listed. But i'd just like to thank everyone in the footbag community for being so damn cool.
Well last year I stopped playing footbag for about 4 months. I don't know why but early this year i got hooked again.
Not so long ago I announced my retirement from footbag. Footbag was getting in the way of study and other sports. And at the age of 15 it is essential for me to do well in school so I could get good marks which could follow through to university. And another reason was because I was so damn far away from everyone and it was not possible for me to go to the Australian National Championships for at least another 3 years. Which meant another 3 years of boring solo kicking.
But then I realised there was more to it then socialising with other footbaggers and competing. For all this time I had been playing for fun and to push myself to see how good i could get. But why stop now? I thought. As i previously said i was hooked and i couldnt keep away from footbag. So i kept playing. And now good things are happening. Things like the Nestle campaign are taking place and Jeremy is coming to Western Australia and I may have the chance to shred with him.
In conclusion footbag is awesome.
