OK, so I haven't updated in a while. Like always I played on tuesday at stanford. It was pretty awsome, even though I didn't hit anything real big. I did get to meet Emily though which was cool, like my third or fourth modifier who I've meet in real life. She was fun to play with and got me to try drifters. I'd never really tried drifters before but I hit my first one on each side that day so it was cool. Then we played four square which is fun as always. Then i got beat 2 more times by Steve in two square. I'll beat him someday... Anyways, school's out now so i got to play today which was awsome. I hit some cool moves and a maybe all unique 9 contact guiltless run. I also managed to hit paradox drifter today for my first time, although only on one side. I am slowly hitting all the four add moves I can. After I've hit most of them I think I'll be able to play genuine, that seems to be the way of things. At first I could hit all 1 adds and was working on 2 adds and my strings were stalls with 2's thrown in sometimes. Then I could hit all 2's and worked on threes so my strings were tiltless with some threes in there. But now even though I can hit most three's I can't really work them into my runs and cut out my BOPing at the same time, so I figure with just a little more practice my runs will become much more varied. Anyway it's summer!

Yeh so I had a pretty good session yesterday. Lets see I hit diving clipper and ducking butterfly for the first time, ducking butterfly both sides and diving clipper only one side. I also hit ducking clipper BSOS which is good for me. Um... oh I also hit drifter a couple times BSOS and I really like the move now. Um, yeh lets see I had some ok guiltless runs around 10 tricks or so. I also practiced clippers some which is always fun. about 37 or so on both flipside and strongside so that's good. I really want to hit 50 which I probably should pretty soon. I'm going out to play again right now so I'll hopefully hit some new stuff. :D

Welcome to the wide world of ducking (even though I'm a weak ducker). If you ever get gitty and want to try spinning ducking, make sure you're clear of poles and people and if you have a cold/runny nose I wouldn't recommend it.

Prop'd with the drifters. It's just one of those moves that makes the game all the more impressive.

I haven't tried spinning ducking yet but I'll deffenatly be sure to remember you advice :D . I don't think I'm quite good enough at either to try and combine them yet. Anyway, I had some good sessions monday and tuesday at Stanford. On monday I was just drilling stuff and I hit flail I think (pixie symposium mirage?) So that was cool and then I also hit around 12 infinities which is pretty close to my record. Then yesterday I played at Stanford, which is always fun. I got to meet some new people too. It was really fun, and Dat taught me how to do double leg over. It took me so long to get that move but it feels so good now, I can only hit it on one side, but I'm really close on my other side. I also hit drifter > whirl which was cool, and I came obnoxiously close to ripwalk > blur a couple times, but I never hit it. Um... that's pretty much it, but I did get to play some more four square and Emily was there so it was fun having enough people to play.

pixie symp. mirage = backside smear. flail is a symposium illusion.

I knew you must be around some good players but I never fathomed just how many there would be. LUCKY! I know how much I learned just by watching the RFA members play so I'm sure your game has and will continue to improve quickly. Not too sure what happened since May 3rd when I signed off modified. Jorden maybe let you have some of his Shreddies (R) or something but you're so much better than me now. Gonna have to see about getting a footbag tutor for the summer or something. . .

Yeh, it's so nice having so many nice people down here who are willing to teach me :D . Speaking of teaching I got to footbag with Steve on Saturday from like 1:30 - 6:30. It was just the two of us so I got a lot of practice. It was especially cool because we spent a lot of time working on my worlds routine. I'm deffenatly not as worried now, my biggest fear is that I will just be so completly freaked out that I won't be able to hit anything :D . 1:30 doesn't actually seem to long now, I'm not nearly as scared. I footed diving butterfly a couple times, and I deffenatly think I can hit it. I also had a session on Thursday wher eI hit a bunch more ducking stuff. Ducking's really a lot of fun. I was also working on my spinning, almost hit spinning mirage some, and also spinning legover. Great session, and I had a great time.

OK so I was gone on a houseboat last week and it was completly awsome. I got to hang out with my two best friends and a bunch of other cool people. Anyway I came home on Saturday and imidiatly went to Steve's house to work on my routine. I ate buffalo meat there and it was actually really good. Then I did that again on Sunday and we picked out a song with ryan's help, and started to coriograph it. It looks really cool I think. So my legs are crazy tired and I can't really footbag at all. That was an incredibly lame discription of the last two days, but it's all I feel like typing.

OK so I haven't posted in here for a long time and boy do I have a ton to say... OK so after this houseboat thing I went to a family reunion in indiana where I practiced my routing like crazy. I think I did it about 10 times a day or so and I kept getting better. My reletives all thought it was cool that I liked it so much and the neighbor there even called me over and had me do a dimonstration for the people who were staying with her. It was fun having an audiance. Then I came home and kept practicing the routine. In Indiana my record had been 3 drops which I had hit once. Then at home I started doing much better, getting 1 drop a couple times. After that it was time to leave for Helsinki. The plain ride was kind of annoying because it was so long but oh well. We got there and we bassicaly got food and went to bed. While there I got to play with a bunch of cool people. It was fun getting to see modified people like ken, matt, and che. I also met some cool finish people who were really nice. Bassicaly everyone I met there seemed nice. It was weird because one of the most fun times was actually when we weren't allowed in a bar. The video contest thing was held in a bar but me and some other under 18 year olds went but they wouldn't let us in. So we just hung around outside and Rikku made up a bunch of stupid/funny tricks. It was cool because Steve hung with us outside even though he could have got in and he was actually supposed to be judging. That night I practiced my routine with Steve in the hallway of the hotel building. It was really fun because it just felt so weird. For the first routine I was really nervous because I really wanted to pass, I ended up dropping like 7 times but I still made it to the next round but with bad seeding. Shred 30 went better because I didn't have any expectations. I think I got like 6th for the first round so I made it through. I practiced a couple times more and petter irish even stopped by once and said hello which was cool. The day before semi-finals/finals I got no drops once. I was so happy and relieved since that had been my goal. The next day I wasn't really nervous because I didn't care anymore. I ended up hitting it with 1 drop though, it was such a great feeling and I made it into finals. It felt so good. I was glad that my dad and steve were there to watch because they knew how much I had practiced it and steve helped me so much with it. My dad helped a bunch with it too because he would always help me count drops and play the music and such. Anyway shred 30 final went well and I got 6th. Then the footbag finals and I really didn't care anymore because there were no more rounds and it was just a performance. I went through the first half no problem. Then when I went for a head stall it slipped off my head. I saw it falling and was just like man this is not happening again (because I had one drop the time before) and managed to keep it in the air with kicks. I finished my routine with no drops :D . I grapped the bag looked up, relized what I had done, bowed jumped up and down some and walked off. It was so great people were congratulating me and I knew that my work had payed off. I felt like I had proved something to myself. When I first started practicing steve had told me I could hit it with no drops I didn't really believe him. Anyway it was awsome and I didn't even care about the results it felt so good. I got 4th though which was much better then I ever thought I would. Ken said something that described the feeling well, he said that it didn't matter what happened after this, I could break my leg, or quite footbag, but I would always have the feeling and the knowledge that I had hit the routine dropless. I did the very best I could have and didn't hold back anything. It felt great to prove steve and my dad right for thinking I could do it dropless. Anyway that pretty much wore me out on footbag for a bit. It was fun when I got back because all my relatives that had seen me praciticing were excited and all the people from my youth group who knew I was going congratulated me. Just now my footbag interest is starting to pick up again, and I decided I should write the whole experience down somewhere. If anyone wnats they can see the final routine here...

Yeah so I had an awsome session yesterday at Stanford. It was pretty much awsome. It was Steve, Ben, Nate, Emily, and me. I hit ducking osis and diving ss osis for the first time I footed them both both sides I thnk but only hit them on one because I got too disy. I also hit blender a couple times which was awsome. Didn't try any of the pardon moves today but oh well. I was playing with brand new shoes except for making the toe walls appear and new lacing. I played much better then I thought I would. I had a couple decent guiltless combos. My guiltless record is somewhere around 21 I think. It was cool at the end of the session my legs were too tired and so we were just doing stupid stuff. I was trying to do like a can can clipper thing > this weird stick your leg out clipper thing that jeremy had done a couple stanford sessions ago. It was super fun, and probably looked incredibly dumb. It's fun even to do without a footbag. ANyway, fun session.

Ugh! I used to leave places without saying goodbye and I did it because I wasn't feeling the vibe. So maybe he's not the one whose the jerk.

Wow crazy, I haven't been here for a while, so it's weird to see other people posting here. Sorry for not saying goodbye when leaving a session, I'm not to used to it. So, I haven't updated this in a long time. I'll just post an update with the new stuff I've hit... paradox drifter (think that's new), toe drifters in runs, swirls kind of, so close to blurry whirl, hit 5 back to back ripwalks two time, hit blender a couple times, ducking osis and diving osis... oh and nuclear mirage or something like that and miraging (not sure the real set name) butterfly, nuclear is Toe (op) in right? Um... I think that's pretty much it. I'm really guiltless now unless I'm just screwing around. Oh I also got gimping ss butterfly and flapper delay. So yeah I'm still footbagging even if I'm not hardly posting. Things are going well except for my inability to say goodbye after sessions :D . I'll just have to outlast everyone I guess so they leave first and have to say goodbye to me.

So, I thought I should update this again.... I've come so close to a bunch of 5 adds, but never hit any. So far I can almost hit blurry whirl, pheonix, paradox torque, blurry drifter, and ps whirl. I think i'll hit at least one pretty soon. I also just hit ducking or diving, I forget which, paradox mirage. It felt pretty weird, but cool. Oh and I don't know if I ever posted it but blender has been hit a few times both sides too I think. Um.. that's pretty much it except whirls and quanum are currently in the works as well.

Dude! You're back! Man you've gotten so good. Major props on everything. I read about your competition post - - must have missed that a while back. Great job. How much do you practice these days?

Yeah... I've actually hit that  It just seemed so much like cheating, because it's not really very much harder then blur it seems, that I don't count it as a 5 :D . Thanks for the advice though :D

Thanks. Just wondering here, does, "read about your competition post" imply that your read about it somewhere besides in my footblog :D , cause that would be weird/cool. I practice probably a good 7 hours a week on average. I don't really know how much that compares to other people, I really can't imagine practicing any more then that... on Tuesdays I usually play at stanford for 3 hours or a little more and then wensdays I'm dead and usualy thursdays too. Then I'll either play for like an hour or so on thursday or friday alone, then on Saturday or Sunday at Steve's house for another 3 hours or so. I'm pretty much either playing, healing, or not playing because I don't want to be sore the next day. I don't know how some people on modified seem to get around this and say that they play like 20 hours a week... maybe that's how everyone gets so good... Yeah, I was gone for a while there. I kept playing footbag but after worlds for a while I was pretty burned out on footbag. I bassicaly just played on Tuesdays or when someone invited me over, but never alone. Now I'm starting to get back into my groove. :D I never quite playing or anything though, just stopped coming by modified for a bit. Yep, that's pretty much it. I just had a session outside but nothing too awsome was hit. I managed to get some reasonably high pixies, and I did blurry whirl with it hitting my foot and rolling off. That's it though.

yeah, i would have to agree. im workin towards a more legit 5...i realized today that my atomics are high enough to duck, if i work really hard. i ducked a good few sets cleanly, but havent sealed anything out of it yet. im thinking alpine flux first

That's crazy... do you find atomics or quantoms easier... atomics seem so hard, but quantom seems ok... Anyways, I hit paradox torque, my first real 5! It was pretty awsome. I also more fully relized what paradox means in tricks. Like of course I always new, but if just feels so much cleaner and easier now. :D

OK, so some new happenings... first off I relized that I can kind of atomic set, this came as a rather big suprise... so I hit atom smasther and atomic butterfly. Atomic butterfly is quite possibly the coolest name ever I think. But quantum butterfly is pretty cool too. I tried sailing some, and it seems with my grasp so maybe I'll hit sailing butterfly sometime.
