Hello all you nutters!!!!

Well it takes one to know one!!!

Niki and me took some amazing pictures at the footjam. Amazing because we both though they were totally shit. But once they settled on the website we could take a moment and reflect upon what had been a deeply moving and at the same time, disturbing, experience.
I don't know about Niki, but for me the first 5 hours or so were like when you have eaten too much roughage and you just can't get it out. For what seems like ages, you strain and push, and all for nought......

We pushed hard, and eventually it slipped out, sweetly, smoothly and it smelled so damn good!!!! Taking the photos started to come a bit more freely and, well, the result is there for all to see! My ring was stinging and cut, but I was satisfied at last. They weren't so bad at all. My favourite is Tina after the competition in the mad room, where we got drunk.

But seriously, enough of the crap.

We used Olympus OM cameras with a mixture of nice zuiko glass (lenses) from 24 mm wideangle thru 35 50 to 85 short-telephoto and 135. The nice Vasek picture was with the 85 and no flash. For the finals I used flash and Niki was busy with the video on stage.

Films used were ilford B+W 125 and 400, Neopan B+W 400 and 1600 and a smattering of Kodak Portra 160 and 400 ASA.

It was good fun and we're glad somebody liked the pictures.

Those are really the best competition photos I've ever seen, guys.
All the portraits are so nice, with great Bildaufteilung and good
lighting. So many good memories. Thank you!!
