We always joke about Reid's fear of Dan. That one time at Navy Pier when Reid accidentally backed up into Dan's radio, and Dan gave him a death look or said "hey" or something. but was totally kidding, but Reid kept apologizing... good times

that was me. I was new to footbag, and had pretty much just met Dan, and yeah was talking about his motorcycle injuries, and yeah, I was a bit intimidated by him too

So basically leaving off where I left last night:

I come to the airport at 10 o clock in the morning to catch a flight to Philadelphia that my dad booked over the phone. It was supposed to leave at noon. I figured I would just get on the automated check out thing and get my ticket. My dad said that on the phone they said id have to go to an agent, but the line for that was so long it was ridiculous.

So I go to the automated checkin and after waiting there for a half hour I get on it and it tells me that I donâ€™t have a reservation. Then I know I have to get in that line. I walk the line and keep asking people what they are waiting for. They all say â€œUS airways domesticâ€

Deep stuff man. Glad you had a good Spring Break and finally made it out of Charlotte though, stuff like that isn't fun.
As far as religion goes, I think you have the right idea researching all of the other religions first and choosing which suits you best. There are so many options out there. In the end though, I find it best to live by your own set of principles and standards that you set for yourself. Ultimately, only you can decide what's right for you.

I don't believe in things solidly. All you can do is learn and grow, keep an open mind, and make decisions.

Religion: I believed when I was little, but starting questioning when I was old enough to compare reality and stories. Now, instead of choosing a side, I recognize i will never know the solid truth, and maybe learning about and pondering such things is part of the why we're here.

College major: same thing. thought i would figure it out. boil it down. i read an essay that kinda helped me. It was by a 50 year old physics professor that still didn't know what he wanted to do when he grew up. I think there is so much to be interested in that it's hard to narrow down to one. Knowing what you don't like helps. Career exposure is best. Visit people in your potential careers and ask them questions. School doesn't expose us to reality enough.

So after years of worry about what i'm gonna do when i grow up, i realize that I'll never know. And in fact to solidly only wanna do one narrow thing would sort of suck.

i chose engineering cuz i like math and science. and that's versatile enough for me to work in lots of fields.

What's wrong with studying bugs? What if what you believe in is the intrinsic beauty of the bug world? The pursuit of knowledge is a noble and worthy way to spend a life. And so is doing what makes you happy (i.e. footbag), so long as it does not lessen someone elses life.
Religion and belief is not the be all and end all for all people.
Why do I get up in the morning? Because I'm alive and I'm not going to do anything to purposely change that.

I'm not trying to argue or anything, just putting out a different viewpoint.

When I read you post I was reminded a lot of my time in Victoria 3 years ago. At that point I was really confused. Asking myself the big questions, what am I doing? why are we all here? what's the meaning of life? The things that helped the most were giving it time and a simple book called The Tao of Pooh (http://www.amazon.com/Tao-Pooh-Benjamin ... 0140067477). Perhaps you would enjoy reading the taoist philosophies on life.

In any respect, I think feeling in such a way is a good thing. Its a normal step in life and a sign of maturing. Some people never reach that stage in their life so that in itself is something to be proud of. I am sure in the long run you will figure everything out.

Whether or not you believe in an afterlife, your time on earth can still have meaning for its own sake, not just passage into the next life, regardless of whether or not it exists.

So I slept through my 8 a.m spanish class today. I was up late talking to this girl I met in the airport during my 7 hour adventure. She lives in PA too. Just shooting the shit was fun.

Woke up, went to enviornmental protection, ate lunch at chic a fila, which is an alright place. Nothing great. Came back and stitched 3 pents. Psycology in a half hour.

Have a lot of stuff to do it seems. Really want to start playing more footbag. People are getting too good.

Might switch back to facile for durability when we play on concrete in the summer. Not sure.

Wish I was back in FL shredding in the sun.

Gonna catch a bus down to my class.

i really liked this routine, watching it at the us open was better though, maybe because it was live and seemed more technical, but either way i liked it props
