Why do we, or why don't we?

Well, we don't play together because he's about an hours drive from my house and is only 16, so can't really get into Brisbane regularly.
I'm now working weekends occasionally, so we can't play every weekend...

And I'm not sure what you mean by it being another Dan and Alex case.

I just noticed that the BCS thread has the most number of pages out of any other thread in this section, on the first page!!!!

That's pretty extreme! And thanks to everyone who's posted here.

Had a good session with Jesse today.
FUCK it was good to shred with another person (even if it was jesse). :P

I sucked, but Jesse was playing ok, if not a little rusty. I've seen him more consistant but, fortunately for me, he was a little out of practice, so I didn't seem as shit as what I would have normally.

Just spoke to Hagesy.
Hope you got some dude!
Hope you got some BSOS! ;) YOU know what I'm sayin'.

Good to hear from you, bro.

Not a bad session tonight, although it wasn't groundbreaking.
I schooled my steps a fair bit tonight, with particular attention paid to ripwalk. I managed to hit Ripwalk>SS Clipper>repeat about three times (that's 3 Ripwalks in one run!
I also hit PS whirl>hand catch which felt good.

I also think I worked out how to tone down my atomic sets, too. I find I've been puting too much effort into my atomics and it wears me out very quickly. But I'm making the set a little more casual and I managed to hit an easy Tap, at least once... so that's showing some promise.

I played with Spins a bit tonight too and managed to hit three Clip>ss Spinning Clippers on my strong side, and a few single spinning clippers on my flipside. That was good to see.

Generally speaking my endurance level is rather low, having not played all that much in the last few months, so it's gonna take alot of work to get up to a comfortable level to try longer runs (never mind the consistancy  ).

I also had a call from Caroline tonight. She got my invitation to play on Saturday (last, in the session with Jesse at Kangaroo Point Cliffs), and was tempted, but had work commitments. Aparantly she's setting up a 'life plan' to help get things back on track. A while ago she had a change of careers and it sounds like it's not going so easy for her, with her having to work multiple jobs. This is leaving no time to play footbag, and that's making her feel down. It was reassuring to hear that she's still got some passion in her for the sport. Hopefully she won't be too far from comming back into the game, though she's got alot to (re)learn.

I've also started writing again (a script idea I had a few years ago is now turning into a story - to help with the details of the script, with the opportunity to make it less personal). Footbag is a central subject in the story, and I also found tonight inspireing for me, enabeling me to sit on the cold concrete floor and write some more tonight. So that was good too.

Ummmmm. I think that's all I need to report. Asside from the very vague.
Yes. She's still with him.
The other one is getting hung up on someone.
I chatted with another tonight and all was good, considering she was in my thoughts lately.
He's still childish, though hasn't said anything so far this week (although it's only monday)
And there's still no conversation with the ex.

Yeah, that'll make no sence to pretty much everyone, but... meh.

Cya.

Well, I'm a little pissed at the moment.
After a long day at my folks... cutting down trees and transplanting others, I came home, had a shower and got ready to go to the Juggle Jam.

I couldn't find my bag. :(

I looked everywhere but couldn't find it.
In the end I got the shits and gave up.

I figure I either left it at Southbank last week (hopefully someone else found it and will give it to me next week), or it's somewhere in the pile of crap in my room.

I don't really read this blog much but I saw that Hagsey had posted so I dropped in to see how he was going. Good to hear you're doing well, also good to hear G-bomb is kicking and I hope you're bag turns up.
The Sydney Jam will be between Oct 6-9.
At this stage I think Daniel is the only person to confirm he will make it.

I am confirmed for sydney as well then :D

Well had a session last night. I am in the process of relearning my tricks to make sure they are all technically right. In my previous footbag journey, i could hit tricks 10/10 goes but i couldn't always hit tricks out of them, because it was slurry or whatever. So far i have concentrated on

ATW: My strongside has always been good. my flipside is good as well, however on my flip atw in sometimes i tend to point my toe down before i release the bay, or b) start the dex movement before the bay leaves my foot, so i concentrated on keeping my toe pointed up the whole way through the move. Now it is very clean and very controlled.

Mirage: Concentrated on that magic hop, getting that knee up 90 degrees for that wide window. Keep toes pointed up. Use the hips

Pickup: Dexing with my lower leg instead of using my whole leg. Kept toes pointed up.

So overall was a good session, my runs were very clean and i think my style was good.

Hope to have a session tonight.

peace
hagesy.

yep see you there bud.

Didn't end up shredding last night the torturous activities of the previous day got to my body and it was aching and screaming for a rest.

These activities included.

-20min run (5mins @ 12.5, 5mins @ 13, 5mins @ 13.5, 5mins @ 14km/hr)
-20 min cycle( 5 mins @ level 9, 5 mins @ level 10, 5 mins @ level 11, 5mins @ level 12) This is what hurt me the most i think
-Squash training from the previous night
-ANd footbag after squash training from the previous night.

Just had a strength session at the gym just now, and body feels good so i shall play footbag tonight.

peace.

Fitness machine that is I.

Shredded for 30mins last night went over legover, switch, CLIPPER. Legover and switch I think are technically right, kept toe pointed so that was good.

Made good progress on my clipper really concentrated on cranking that ankle and saw significant improvement. My right ankle hurts when i do it, but lucky ii am tough.

Well didn't get to play footbag yesterday.

Decided to go to a party and get drunk and try and get lucky with the ladies.

Mission failed.

I thought i had a chance with this one girl, she was so hot, she is learning to be a paramedic, but she is moving to brisbane in a month and therefore didn't want to get involved in any relations.

At least I had a go.

Definately playing footbag today, once i get through this hangover that is grating my soul.

While driving into the city, last night, I ended up scoring a flat tyre! Then I couldn't find a park, finally finding one down some dingey back alley, expecting my car to be raped or stolen when I returned.
I still hadn't found my footbag and was preparing myself for a bad session as I walked to the Piazza.
Using my old crochet bag (one I found under my bed while cleaning my room, looking for my new O'wheel) to warm up with, I moved to my old O'wheel bag to kick with.
The break dancers (b-boys? I'm not sure if that's the term or not) were there and had some tunes going, so I used that.
I didn't really school anything, I just warmed up and then shredded, having some good runs.
At one stage a guy turns up and shows the break dancers 'Crumping' (they seemed to find it funny - I did too. They guy totally had the commercial American 'rap' theme going - all blue, oversized Jordan 23 shirt - just looked like a fool).
Then John walks over and holds out my little red and white O'wheel, asking if it looked familiar! I was soooooo happy to see it and thanked him alot. However, it's not broken in yet so I played crap when I started using it.
'Kate' (I don't really know her name but she reminds me of the Ben Folds Five song of the same name), John's girlfriend came and asked me about the bag, too.
And then I sat down and wrote alot of my story. That's comming along nicely, although the scene I'm writing at present came with a little writers block. When you've had little success asking girls out, it's hard to write an occasion when the character is successfull!

Anyway, now for a wrap up.

I was really happy to play footbag. I've been feeling some rage build up in me and playing really released that. Getting my bag back helped. I'm looking foreward to playing some more and schooling my steps and atomics again. Especially as I can see how I can make my atomics a little easier!

Anyway, That's all.

THat is tops news gareth.

Well i had a bit of a breakthrough last night with my illusion. I can do them now completely downtime bs fucking with ease. It really helps really reading all the adivice and watching vids.

What helped me was i discovered i wasn't raising my knee high enough before i began the dex. I looked at my mirages and tried to match my illusion to that (reverse mirage right), so i did that then dexed with my calf. sweet.

Tonight i am going to try and figure out bubba

ciao
