Can I have a close up of the Halloween lavers. And the Nile river perch lavers. Please.

They look really cool, but i can't see them very well.

I hit the Jackpot yesterday! Big sale at the Adidas store. I got all of these shoes for a grand total of $74.01 :o

Image

Clockwise from top left:
 Slip on skate shoes (not for footbag)
 Adidas Stan Smith "Safety" model. Classy. Not sure if I will mod for footbag or not
 Adidas Stan Smith "End of E" model. Will also be used for footbag... eventually.
 Adidas Servers. I love this shoe! I finally found another pair AND extra lucky, in my favorite color, GREEN! They look so sexy I don't want to mod them, but I will. I wore them for St. Patrick's today :)

Now I know there's Stan Smith haters out there. But I have narrow feet, so the Stannies fit me better than Lavers. Of course my quantums are still intact, but I know they will not last forever. I can't believe I got all these shoes for only $74.01 :!:

Wow! Crazy collection, Zack! Some are pretty shit-kicked. Really creative! Good job experimenting with so many non-mainstream shoes. I don't think those are Climacool 1s that you've got there.

Thanks for posting. They model a shit load of different mods that others should not be afraid to experiment with.

I saw Zach modding some G-units last year at Worlds. They were pretty fly. :)

first ever pair of lavers
Image
Lavers I used to use. I don't want to use them anymore, because I think they're too big and were causing leg pain.

newly modded g-unitz 8) they fit perfectly and are super comfortable. I don't really like camo though...

Check out my new shoes! Hopefully the last pair that I buy for a while. I know I said that before, but I have always wanted these kind of units.

They were pretty pricey cause they came from the UK. A total of 110 CDN, but should be well worth it!

Now I will have lavers, quantums and g units! I love my shoe collection.

Blue lavers, beige lavers, grey qm 02's and now black and gold spinner g units!

WHOOO!

Look at these slick mother bleepers!

So what mods are needed? Remove clipper area leather and tongue padding? What about the toe leather?

I dunno if you want to mod those units, man. IMO, g-units take modding the hardest. ie: they look worse than any other shoe after modding. If you bought those shoes because they look cool, you might consider keeping them as street shoes and maybe buying a cheaper pair of g-units to shred in. Also, did you say they have spinners? If so, this will add unnecessary weight that you prolly don't want anyway. I'm sure you'll enjoy rocking those regardless, I just suggest that you consider how shit-kicked they will look within a week after modding.

:? I like the way my units look.

I think someone got a pair of these before, modded them, and said he didn't like them. For a number of reasons mentioned in the above post.

maybe just mod them and keep them in your room till you do a routine at a jam and then shred to Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangster. . . or something.

I wouldn't touch those shoes with an X-Acto! It'd be like taboo or something to destroy those beautiful shoes!

I'll answer that when modding G-units, just removing the toe and inside leather is all that's really necessary. The tongue compresses after some wear and tear, so removing the tongue padding is purely based on immediate comfort issues.

On-topic, I wouldn't mod them because they look seriously pimp. However, they're solid black, so whatever mods you do won't really affect the way look imo. It's just a bit problematic, since these shoes look pretty rare, and I have never seen G-units in this color before.

I ordered a pair of Lavers today from Zappos, so they should come in the mail anytime soon, I'm going to get some help from Grant modding them.
