Current temperature: 72 degrees, about 15 degrees warmer than the norm at this time of year. 8) <--that's me today.

On the downside, apparently late-onset Alzheimer's occurs way more often in women. You win some, you lose some.

This video demonstrates how to be the shit. You have to watch the whole thing for the rest of my post to make sense.

Updates: I moved in April, I'm in my last quarter of school and I'm working two part-time jobs. Uh, I guess that's not too exciting. I'm playing a little footbag from time to time but I'm pretty out of shape so playing isn't something to do just for fun, it's kind of a work out (even though I don't do long strings or hard tricks :P)

A little bit ago I went to SF to kick with ex-Amish and Wolverine444, who was just in town for a few days. It felt so right kicking with them... we were all Midwesty and shit. The session was laid back and so silly, it was definitely the most fun session I've had for a long time. We went to dinner at a Thai place, a traditional post-footbag dinner for me when in SF. Then we walked past a Rice Pudding shop. I obviously had to get some and yes, it was delicious. Anyway, good times had by all.

Today I biked 8 miles on a road with big, long hills. I've never biked that far in one chunk. There were a few hiccups, but overall it was pretty fun.

Hi Emily.

I'm going to be in San Fran for a couple of days, weekend of the 6th June.

How far away do you live? Want to come up for a kick :D Anyone else around there that I should catch up with?

- Jamieson

p.s. I jizzed my pants on a boat. Yeah I went there.

...but you'll be taking a plane to get here, not a boat, so I'm assuming you won't have any problems.

While you're here you should get in contact with the Stanford crew for sure. Arg, bad weekend, the 6th is my birthday and that's the weekend before finals. :( What are the exact dates/time of day you'll be around and wanting to hang? I might be able to come out on Friday or Sunday, but I'll have to request work off way in advance. Maybe just respond in a PM.

I was planning to come home to IL this summer (I had the dates picked out and eveything) but plans have changed and I won't be able to. I'm pretty disappointed about that, BUT instead I'll be going to Bolivia for over a month. :o Here's a description of the environmental/cultural field study program I'm going to be doing. I just bought the plane tickets and I'm so excited.

I played a little freestyle with Dustin today. I have to get back into better footbag shape since I'm doing a footbag demo at the end of the month the last two days before I leave the country. After the session Dustin, his girlfriend and I played some rotation 2-square. Then I went on a hike. :-)

I'm back. Yesterday I was near the Mississipi river, and I telepathically wished you a Happy Birthday.

I was cleaning out of PM inbox, when I came across a message from you shorty after '07 worlds.

Part of it included this

Hope you are doing well out in Cali. I know that I will most likely see you at NYJ at the end of the year. But I don't think hanging out with you once a year is gonna cut it for me. Best of wishes!

I didn't mean "old" like I've known you for that long, just "old" as in old. :P ...dirty old man. You better see me at NYJ! And maybe before or after that too.

Green Cup weekend, 2009

I got to meet Kim Mortensen from Denmark who looked mostly like I expected him to:

Plus, it's always a good thing to meet someone sporting an SC shirt.

Aww, so cute! Looks cold, huh? Yeah, it was. It was probably warmer earlier in the day, but I think I wore that coat the whole day.

By the end of the day it looked like this:

And we looked like this:

Actually, I looked even more like a tomato than you can see in that picture.

Don't believe me?

Ouch. Yeah, look at my neck for a good comparison. :-( Or you can just look into Alex's beautiful blue eyes. :-)

Jamieson Hickingbotham playing with Alcatraz in the background.

While kicking, the three of us were talking about how we were playing or why they were sore, etc. I hadn't played in a while and felt super rusty, but that was to be expected.
Me: "You know when you haven't played in a while and you feel like you only know four tricks because you can't think of all of the tricks you can do?"
Jamieson: "No, not really."
Way to crap on my train of thought, Jamieson. That's almost as bad as a bird crapping on your leg while you're standing in a circle. :-D

I guess seagulls just really like footbag players.

Jack's bar, 84 beers on tap and 30 more in bottles.

Jamieson with the interesting bartender who happened to follow Australian... netball? He didn't charge Tim or me for our sodas (one of which happened to be a water) and he gave me a free girl beer.

Me with my new friend from Australia. :-)
