So, U of I jam - who's planning on going?

I'd like to go, want to figure out how I'm getting there. Maybe getting a piggy-back ride from this nice lady:

I think every time you put up a picture of a hot bikini girl I'll put up a picture of one of my hot bikini girls...

Don't think I won't do it.

You've got a lot of making up to do.
Plus you'll probably run out of hot bikini girl pictures before we do.

Played @ UIC today.

I thought it was supposed to be in the 60's today, I looked at the forecast and all the temps ranged in the 40's. I decided to wear shorts anyway, I decision I would later regret. Tom picked me up then we got some lunch and met up with Obed and Marty. We hacked at first then moved to some cover when it started to rain. Played quite a few games of 4-square both straight up and HL Beta/Last Man Standing.

When the rain cleared we moved back out in the open to hack some more. Marty had to leave early. We were then joined by The Grip. he's a local freestyle poser  We call him The Grip cuz he's constantly sweating Tom's balls - all up on it. Anygay, mr. brushes-his-teeth-with-butter (he's got Leprechaunsg guarding his mouth) starts talking his bullshit to me. I called him a poser and he pretty much shut up after that. Stank-armpit-havin-ass.

So Captain Jaundice Grill finally leaves for class and we set up my 2S court. Obed leaves soon after Reile showed up after work. We played lots of games throughout the afternoon. I can't say that neither Tom or I were playing particularly well but we did have quite a few good rounds against each other. It was cool to see Tom and Reile square off against each other, I think it was their first 2S match...ever :!: 8O

It was a pity that we could not play 3-square. That would have been loads of fun.

A few of my highlights:
-getting more accurate attacking their front right
-Got game point with "the secret weapon"

Now I'm curious about who it is. I think I know who it is... and if it is who I think it is, then I'm glad you called him a poser.

Squares @ Welles yesterday with Mart, Cuba and Tom. Ronnie said he was coming but never showed up.BTW, we still his guitar Hero at LaRAZA. All the games were fairly competitive except that game of HL Gamma where I stomped them getting everyone reduced to 1-2 lives in a single run at king square! Ok, maybe some carelessness on their part had more to do with it than my skill

I won a hard game of Aces playing to 50 points. Marty and I took multiple turns holding 31 points. I finally managed to hold on to it while adding another 10 points by acing Cuba. I got a few more aces to bring my final total to 52 points. All I had to do was to keep from getting aced, work my way back into ksq and score the winning point. Getting there was definitely the hardest part cuz everyone was gunning for me. Got a last minute left kick on a Marty body screen attempt. And the ever sneaky Tom set a screen for Marty only to redirect the pass himself to try and steal an ace. I managed to get a foot on it but eventually dropped it in my square. I finally got bag to King and got the win when someone spiked. I let out a sigh of relief and fell to the ground exhausted.

Play of the day:
Marty serves to me in 2sq and I immediately set to my right as Tom (1sq) sets a screen. My pass arced too high and, instead of Matrix dodging, Tom jumps and does the splits in the air! I'm not sure if Marty was tracking the pass all along or if he just blindly struck, but he managed to snake his leg in while Tom was in the air and defend the play! Tom recovered the successful block and eventually killed King to advance. Props.

Not sure about my playing action for the next few, cuz I got this bad back cramp today. but I'm sure there will be kicks this weekend.

The other day, playing 4 square I felt good. My legs were not sore for once. it seems they;ve been sore for weeks. Maybe it was the bike ride over. Anyway, so I played much better than lately. I won the first full game we played. Then I tried to practice some techniques, which got me extremely frustrated. I was missing simple toe stalls all the time. Garbage. I don't normally get so frustrated, but I suppose I have yealled out an obscenity in the past. And there always seem to be kids around.

Anyway, so Zeke is really good at controlling the bag. He should always win. I mean I've kicked a footbag 1000 times, but he has a sphere around him that footbags can't fall in even when he turns and sets up shots. I'm not even talking about saves and well placed shots either.
