Session today... it was really hot and humid at lunch today so I didn't do much of anything. I did manage Atomsmasher and Tapdown in jeans for a small crowd,5 or 6 people, so that was pretty cool. It was especially hard not only because I was in jeans but also because my legs were sweaty resulting in the leans sticking to them heh.
As for today, I did lots of drills for Clipper, Infinities, and Atomics.
I'm exhausted so I'll just list the highlights:
Paradox Illusion for the first time. Flip Illusions are getting easier too.
Atomsmasher 3 times, 2 on Strong and 1 on Flip.
Legbeater a couple times.
Footed Flip Legbeater 4 times. So close to hitting it. I don't have much crank in my Flip ankle right now due to that injury but it's getting slightly better so I'll hit it soon.
Eggplant!
Footed Flip Eggplant two times.
New Drill: Butterfly>SS Butterfly>Far Legover>SS Butterfly>SS Butterfly>Far Legover>Rpt. It's a good drill, helps a lot with my Flip Butterflies which suffered due to the injury.
I'm finding that I'm getting tired more quickly now that I'm doing Atomics. I see that as a good thing as it means that I'm doing something unfamiliar and using unfamiliar muscles and it's making them stronger. I like the challenge. I need to start freezing my Atomic moves though so I can gain more control and start linking them.
Thanks for reading.

Thanks buddy. 8 )
I also forgot to say that I hit Symposium Whirl for the first time too.
Here's a video of the Eggplant. I think I'm actually doing my Atomic more Leggy, which I'm not sure I like... any suggestions?

Do your atomic however it is most comfortable.
Hippy is the most widely accepted version, I think because it is easier to do stuff out of.
Props on Eggplant though.

Props on the atomic shiz yo.
I saw the video, it definitely isn't that leggy, it looks pretty hippy. As you do them more your body will find ways to fine tune the motion so that it is quicker, cleaner and more energy efficient. The fact that they are draining is probably a function of the it being a new muscle motion and also as you are just learning it you aren't doing it as efficiently as you could. Just keep working them as you put in more time they'll get better and better. I can sort of do atomic but it's super leggy and the only thing I can hit is tap, but it's really sketchy. The closer your can keep your lower leg to your body, the more efficient the motion will be, that's why hippy is better.
It's definitely a physics thing, not sure if you have any background with that yet but if your leg is tucked in close to your body you will have a smaller moment of intertia about your hip which will require less torque (and as a function of that, less energy) to do the motion, making it faster as well.
Good job on everything. You can never over drill the basics, glad to see you are doing more of that.

Thanks guys! Yeah I tried that out today Ben, worked surprisingly well! Thanks!
I've just been drilling and dicking around with Atomic lately. Working on hitting Flux now.
I got a request in my English class today to do some Footbag tricks. Both by my teacher and classmates. I was in jeans so I wasn't positive I could do much but I got up anyway and did some Whirls and shit for them. Then I bumped it up a notch with a Tapdown and Legbeater. THen for my last one I managed to nail Atomsmasher 2nd try. That one amazed the hell out of them. I got compliments and a LOT of applause. It was a great feeling.
Anyways, Spring Break has started now and I'll be in Florida, TOO HOT
, for the next week/weekends. I won't have internet access to my knowledge so I'll be recording all my improvements on a notepad. So yeah, I'll talk to everyone in a week! Have fun!

Ok, so I finally got my lazy ass around to writing this.
So, this past week was Spring Break for me. I'll tell you right now it wasn't the crazy good times you usually hear about whenever you hear about Spring Break but I'll be honest and say it wasn't too bad either, however much I wasn't looking forward to it.
So my trip started out like any other, my mother bitching non-stop about various things that in truth mattered very little and just a general frustrated atmosphere as we all packed. Before we left for the airport I managed to record about 20 minutes of shred videos from my computer onto a MiniDV tape to watch on the plane and during the trip.
The trip down was uneventful but I did talk to one of the ladies next to me a lot about Footbag and showed her the videos. She even asked to see them a second time. She told me she lived in Orlando and that she and her family go quite often to the Sports COmplex on the Disney property where Worlds will be held to watch games and such. She said she would be interested in going and watching a bit. I gave her the Footbag.org address and said goodbye as we switched planes.
We didn't arrive in Fort Meyers until late, around midnight. My grandparents picked us up and my vacation had begun.
Now, generally I am not a fan of Florida due to the horrendous, to me at least, heat. But I must say that while some parts of this trip were hot as hell, it was generally very pleasant, with only one day of rain and an almost perpetual breeze that always seemed to find the best direction with which to cool you down. That and the girls, oh the girls there. I'd say Florida's main saving grace was the girls. Short shorts and bikinis around every corner. Though I must ask, when will girls figure out that there is such a thing as too tan?
So the first two days, Saturday and Sunday were pretty much a blur with just relaxing on Saturday and me sleeping away almost all of Sunday.
Monday I didn't do much either in all honesty. I walked around my grandparents park in Bonita Springs a few times to get loosened up for a bit of practice. My grandfather came out to watch and actually stayed attentive the entire time as I broke down some moves and showed him some Atomic stuff. He was very impressed with my progress since he last saw me.
Tuesday we all went for a drive into the Everglades to see the sites... or lack there of. My parents were trying to find a place where we could find a fanboat tour which didn't really tickle my fancy as I dislike boats and water where I can't see what the hell is around me. Yet my mother, ever the bitch, said I could not sit it out and recited that phrase I hear far too often from her: "That's stupid, stop being stupid." With extra emphasis on the "u" sound, making her sound that much more like an idiot. Thankfully though, we could not find a place with a short enough wait for a tour and ended up not going.
Wednesday we all went to the movies and saw Wild Hogs, which in fact turned out to be much better than I thought it would. I really enjoyed it. Afterwards we went to Bahama Breeze where I did a few strings and individual tricks for the people eating outside while waiting for our table. I got some applause here and there, which was quite a good feeling.
On Thursday, I spent pretty much from waking up to 5:30 reading... I hadn't read in too long and it was nice to just lay down and immerse myself in one of my favorite books. At 6 my Aunt, Uncle, and 2 cousins arrived at my grandparents trailer. Uping our number from 5 to 9. We all went out to eat and had a fairly decent time.
On Friday morning my other cousin, who is the half-brother of my other cousins who were already there, arrived. Which brought our number to ten, the trailer was crowded to say the least. We all sat and talked for a while and around noon My cousins, all 3, and I went to the community pool and such and played Shuffleboard of all things. Shuffleboard actually turned out to be a really fun game! Afterwards we went and played pool. I'm not really a fan of people honestly. It's fun for just messing around but games frustrate me.
Saturday was by far the best day. We started off by going to a small waterpark with a lazy river, waterslides, and lots of other mini pools for diving, chilling, and doing laps and such. My cousins and I went around the lazy river and down the slides a few times and then went to the sanck stand for some burgers for lunch. After I was done eating I put my shoes on and did some shred, about the same stuff I did at Bahama Breeze. I twas really crowded there and the eating area I was playing in had about 50-60 people in it at the time. I got quite a bit of compliments. Escpecially from one table of girls, half of them looked about 12 but the rest were my age pretty much, and very pretty too. They called out to me a few times with "Hey cutie" and "Take it off" once or twice as I was removing my shoes and really surprised me.
Had I not been leaving the next day and lived in another state, I would have snagged a number.
Afterwards we all went an absolutely enormous shopping plaza to see a movies. We ended up splitting up into three different groups because we wanted to see different movies. 2 of my cousins and I went to see Blades of GLory which actually turned out to be a fairly funny movie. I haven't beentoo thrilled with Will F.'s movies lately so this was a nice turn around.
Sunday, Easter. It got really cold this morning, in the 40's, with a wind chill bumping it down into the high 30's. My aunt, uncle, cousins, and I wake up at 5:30 to go to an Easter Sunrise service on the beach. Now, I'm not religious in the least anymore and only went because I wanted to catch a good sunrise on camera, though it turned out we couldn't even see the sunrise until we got back home.
Listening to that service really strengthened my resolve to stay away from religion. While there isn't anything truly bad about it, I find it causes more problems than not. I can't really word my reasons for staying away from religion other than that I find it more rewarding and I guess you could say strong willed to live by my own morals, my own standards. I know what's right and what's wrong without a book telling me. And I certainly have no trouble living by it. I've had people ask me, "Well, don't you care about how we got here, how everything was created?" No, I don't. I don't need or honestly care where we came from. At most, that knowledge would be no more than a fun fact for me. But that's just me. I still respect anyone who has faith in whatever god, goddess, or deity.
So, around 1 we headed off to the airport, said our goodbyes, and arrived in Raleigh aroun 6. All in all, I'd say it was a better trip than I expected but it also wasn't spectacular. I'd say a good portion of it was tainted by my mother and her comments, moods, antics. But oh well. There isn't anything I can do about that.
So, that was my Spring Break.
Major props if you read all of that.
P.S.- I'll have a few non-Footbag videos from my trip coming out in a bit. A Sunrise, Sunset, a cute little rabbit, and some random things here and there.

haha nice write up, although I would have got a few numbers anyway just for worlds sake =P
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.

Thanks for reading guys. ^_^
I've been awfully quite lately. So much to do. 3 papers, 1 due next week, and tons of catching up to do with school. I've let my grades drop way too much.
Prom is this weekend on Saturday, I got asked so I'm going. She's a redhead and quite pretty and very nice so I'm happy about that. She "confessed" to me that she has a crush on me too. I've honestly been trying to stay away from relationships simply due to the time and money and various other things that are involved in it, and possibly because I just don't want to go through a bad breakup like my last relationship... but over the past few days I've been thinking differently, maybe I should just go for it. Make the best out of it and see what happens, in all likelyhood I will, but it's difficult coming to that resolve and I definitely don't just want to rush into it and end up fucking it up for the both of us. I guess time will tell.
Oh, and Prom is fucking expensive, though I’ve found a place that will sell you the entire Tux get up for only $80 so that good at least.
I played with Aric yesterday for the first time since YEAH at New Years. It was probably the best time I've had since YEAH actually. I hit some links I've been trying to hit for a while, and I finally hit a Flip Illusion decently with the help of Aric, he also helped me with my Flip Atomic, I just have to work it into muscle memory. I’ve been impressed with my progress since only January but I can learn even more quickly with Aric’s assistance. I also started trying to incorporate Atomics midstring, though I still having a good amount of work to do on them.
On Wednesday I will be giving a How-To speech for practice in English. I chose Footbag naturally. I think it will go quite well. I’m looking forward to it.
Well that’s about it for now…

Speech went very well. I ended up narrowing it down to just how to do an Atomic set seeing as how I only had a few minutes. I broke it down and then demonstrated, and fucked up on the first try. I did a great one the second time though and then hit Tapdown, Legbeater, Eggplant, and Atomic Osis all 1st try. They enjoyed it.
I've been drilling stuff and not much else really. I'm starting to work on my string length and diversity and I notice improvements. I still need to kick my Flip Atomic's ass though.

Thanks man.
New move today. Hit Drifter both sides. It's surprisingly easy for me. It won't recquire as much drilling as my other stuff.
Paradox Mirages, Flip Dyno's, Butterflies/Infinities... all this drilling is finally starting to really show through. Same with my Flip Illusion. I'm liking where I'm headed.
Plus, I finally managed an Atomic midstring. It went: Whirl>Infinity>Dyno>Osis>Paradox Mirage>Legbeater>Catch from excitement.
That and my Flip Atomic is getting less leggy with a more consistent set. Woot!
Prom this weekend, picked up my Tuxedo today. I'm going to try a Tapdown or Legbeater in it at prom.

Good luck for that proms, and props on drifters, lucky that it's easy for you, the motion is pretty easy for me but I have a very hard time delaying the bag. I'll practice some 'drifter' style clipper and it should be okay I hope.
Nice that your drilling some of your good stuffs and your flaws too. It may be a bit borring drilling it but it's so much fun when you see a difference in your game.

Drifter already? You f&*$in s&*$%faced *&()$master that trick took me almost a year and a half to finally hit! I've only hit toe drifter. I need to learn clipper and pdx. Props dude, many props on drifter, it's a fun trick.
Man you are getting good fast. Has playing with Aric accelerated your progress?
Glad to hear you are getting atomic both sides now. Atomsmasher x2!!!
Don't worry too much about prom. I skipped mine and went to a Sevendust concert, it was great. No regrets there.
