All you Joan haters can suck a dilznick! As far as I see it, its a new trick and he/she who hits it can name it. Who the f-ck cares if ya'll biatches dont use the name. It is Cod's right to name it because it is HIS invetntion. So all you frikkin name haters get off ya'll damn pedestals and get to skoolin'! I'm gunna nail Joan soon! Probably on a tennis court. Then I think I'll nail Joan on a carpeted surface.

Do you understand how many combinations of uptime, peak, and downtime components there are? Let's do a little math.
This isn't even going to be a complete list of elements.
Uptime:
Toe set No dex, Clip set No dex, Pixie, Fairy, Atomic, Quantum, Stepping, Whirling, Barraging, Swirling, Reverse Whirling, Shooting, Terraging, Sailing, Frantic, Fusing, Nuclear, Symp Atomic, Symp Quantum, Symp Barraging, Symp Whirling, Symp Sailing, Symp Frantic, Warped, Floating, Juantomic...sure, that's good enough.
Midtime:
No Spin/Duck
Spinning
Inspinning
Double Spinning
Double Inspinning
Ducking
Diving
Ducking Spinning
Ducking Inspinning
Diving Spinning
Diving Inspinning
Spinning Ducking
Inspinning Ducking
Spinning Diving
Inspinning Diving
(No zulu or weaving, gyro or in-gyro, because that's based on the next section which includes ss components.)
Downtime: Again, incomplete list.
Mirage, Illusion, Legover, Pickup, Butterfly, Whirl, Reverse Whirl, DLO, Eggbeater, Drifter, Osis, Clipper, Flying Clipper, Butterflyer, Dragonfly, Torque, Flux, Double-down, Double Switch, Double Pickup, Blender, Reverse Blender, Symp Mirage, Symp Illusion, Symp Eggbeater, Symp DLO, Symp Double Down, Symp Whirl, Symp Torque, Symp Flux, xbd-Rake, Whirling Rake, Symp Whirling Rake, Swirl, Reverse Swirl, Butterfly Swirl, Whirling Swirl, Reverse Whirling Swirl, Double Down Swirl, Symp Whirling Swirl, WHAT?!, Torquescrew, Corkscrew, Toxic, Jug Handle, Swifter, Barrage, Delusion, Grifter, Flurry, Kilo (Bunny Parade), Reverse Kilo, Legeater, Motion, Buttercup, Massacre, Slaughter, Chainsaw Massacre, Blur, Backside Blur, Blizzard, Backside Blizzard, Eclipse, Symp Swirling Toe, Twirl, Swivel, Mofly, Dada Curve...fuck there's so many.
Each is double, for opp and ss. Those that end on clipper (...we'll say 15 of the above. I don't think dragon osis is viable.) are doubled again for dragon. We'll ignore heel and sole.
So.
Uptime: 27 possibilities.
Midtime: 15 possibilities.
Downtime: (68 x 2) + (15 x 2) = 166 possibilities.
Remember, this isn't a complete list.
So if we multiply these out for the total combinations, we have...
67, 230 possible moves.
Some combinations are obviously silly at present day, like Symp Frantic Double Spinning Mofly, but regardless, you get the picture. There's no point in naming a new move everytime it's been hit. Let's just assume that there's...oh, I don't know, 3000 tricks that have common names. It's most likely not that many, but let's say that. Do we really want another sixty-four thousand?
Sailing Gyro Pickup.

Bla, bla, bla. I don't know English so good, so I don't want to fight with you all. This move is my invention and I name it. I'll be very happy when someone else hit Joan and use my name to describe what he hit. If you don't like nicknames for tricks, you can hit Pixie Butterfly > Blurry Mirage > Atomic Symposium Mirage > Pixie Same Side Legover > Miraging Legover > Illusioning Legover. For me, it's better to hit Dimwalk > Blur > Witchdoctor > Magellan > DLO > Eggbeater. Bla, bla, bla.
BTW: Jeremy, I wish you luck with Joan

Well, first off, DLO/Eggbeater are "core elements". No one is going to say Miraging Legover.
Second, I'm not saying we should stop saying Blur, and stop saying Witchdoctor. I'm saying we should minimalize how many new tricks we name, even to naming only new core elements...stuff like Ken's "WHAT?!" or Ryan's Jug Handle or Jorden's Floating set. Those are Core; Uptime or Downtime.
Naming every combination of elements is totally counter-productive.
I'm not fighting with you Michal, I'm just saying it as it is. I think the only combination-style tricks that should be named are those that are truly ground-breaking. (ie: Cheese processor) I don't agree with Honza's naming of every pixie spinning trick, but I do appreciate that Chris Pinkus named Warped Butterfly and Warped Mirage only. After that, it's Warped Legover, Warped ss Butterfly, Warped Illusion. He's not going to name everything that goes with that set. Same thing with Jorden's Floatation. Floating Mirage. After that, I expect most tricks will just be referred to as "Floating ______". It makes a whole lot more sense that way.
Please don't take the attitude of, "I'm keeping it, it's mine, you can't do anything to stop me, I'm not even going to read your post."

Kevin, the reason why people make nicknames for new moves they have hit is that it's supercool to add something into worlwide Footbag, even if it's not big. My face is like ":)" when I see in internet tricklists something which was invented by me. And my face will be like ":D" when someone hit "my" move and write about it on board using "my" name. For me, it's not bad naming every new trick. We still have technical names.
It's my opinion and you have yours. I read everything what you wrote. I don't know why you thought I might not read your post
.
If someone make something like "official rules of footbag" and I find there that we can make names only for "core components", I'll stop naming every new move I hit. But now, there isn't such a rule...

Kevin, maybe you can explain what the trick WHAT?! is. trhen feel free to tell me how it is a "core" element and even give your definition of "core." As far as I know, its only been hit by a few people, at most, and is certainly not fundamental to my footbag game, or anyone's really. What could possibly be "core" about WHAT?!

Core means uptime or downtime elements, as opposed to Combination of said elements. Fundamental isn't as good a way to describe them, because a WHAT?! shows up in your game about as often as a torque does in mine, torque being the obvious favorite.
A WHAT?! is Ken's weird-ass trick. Think of it as a Butterfly Symposium Reverse Swirling Toe.
Atomic What, Pixie What, Gyro What, whatever. Obviously, naming only "core" elements as I've outlined here will result in a hell of a lot less names to deal with.
I'm going to try some What's tonight.

I think these haven't been mentioned:
Orpheus- Triple over down
Terminator- nuclear dlo
Croxton- Sym whirling swirling mirage
Smile- Swirling ripwalk
Kiss of the scorpion- pixie scropions tail
Mont Royal- Atomic ducking motion
Your sister hasn't been hit yet.
I was wondering:
Who hit Margaritaville?
Who named Superdeeduperfly because I saw just Vašek hit it clean and he didn't name it.
