Thanks man! Actually I kicked rather poorly there but I felt satisfied nonetheless.

BTW, your posts are always very entertaining. I look forward to every monthly update

So I guess I'll shut up now before we start sucking each other's cocks (cf. Pulp Fiction)

Max hasn't had a haircut in 6 months, can only play fb once a month and is enjoying too much of this fine Belgian beer... so yeah, not really in tip top shape at the moment. But summer is around the corner.. and that's always a nice motivation to get things back under control ;)

I kicked on saturday in Paris.
It was sunny but cold so we decided to shred it up in a ibg train station. Unfortunately we got kicked out of our usual spot just as we getting warmed up and starting to shred. Funnily enough the security guy advised us to go to another part of the train station where we wouldn't be "in the way"... He only talked to the only girl in our group of shredders. The conversation went something like:

security guard: sorry but you can't play here in this corridor.
shredita: oh... but we usaully do, and your colleagues don't mind (this is true).
- yeah but there are a lot of people here today walking about. Sorry.
- right were where can we go then?
- [very seriously] do you know where the G-spot is?
- errr... what??
- yeah the G-spot. It's near the taxi station. Not too many people there, you can play there. Do you know where it is?
- haha the G-spot? Oh well I think that quite a lot of people of looking for it actually!
- well you just go down that corridor, take a left, up the flight of stairs and there you are.

..
So there you have it gentlemen. The G-spot has been found and is clearly indicated :) It's in Paris' Gare Montparnasse! hehe anyway, yeah so we went elsewhere, shredded some more, got kicked out again, and then ended up just playing outside; it was too cold to work up a sweat and we were playing with sweaters on. Anyway no real groundbreakers but the couple of highlights of my session were:

- merkon > tripwalk
- merkon > tapdown
- spinning osis > pdx egg
- tapping drifter

those were all first try. So that was cool. What else? err.. got fairly close to torque > reverse swirl which I think is a cool link. Also nearly had one of Jorden's tricks: symp. swirling gyro inside.. but my foot keeps trying to do an osis instead of an inside. Had singularity off my foot loads of times also
Nothing much else really.. maybe a couple of medium length runs. But it felt good to be out shredding without too many knee strains.

Oh yeah I managed to hit flip barfly in under 60 attempts (4 to be exact), and then BSOSed it. So that's cool!

Hopefully I can hit that soon enough and have it on film.

I kicked in Paris this saturday. We had a nice big gym for the occasion and I think that this was the first time in months that I felt like I was on good form.
Highlight were:
- flux
- a pdx torque first try
- flip barfly first try
- far symple swirl > vortex > run with other cool stuff
- vortex > mobius > run
- vortex > bubba beater > run
- vortex > someothercoolthingIforgot > run

oh and one very cool new trick:

BIG APPLE

woot! I was super happy. I ended my sess on that trick. It felt surgically clean too

I'll be staying at Fred's place and we *plan* on creating our routine for this year's Euros (maybe Worlds too). So I've packed a bunch of CDs too. Man I havn't team freestyled with him in AGES but yeah the French Connexion plan on being back on the scene and kicking ass!!

Ok well I had four fun days in sunny Marseilles!
1 hour short shred on the first day, 3 and half hours shred in the sun on Friday, 2 hour shred the next day, still in the sun, and a quick one hour shred before I caught my plane on the last day. Marseilles really kicked ass.. It was sunny and warm all the time, I even got a sunburn!! Anyway it was also great kicking with Fred again and I'm glad to say that within 15 seconds of our first team run we knew we hadn't lost anything! So yeah we played a LOT of team freestyle hitting loads of new combos and even inventing a couple of team tricks along the way.

We had planned on working on a team-freestyle routine during the several days I was there. As some of you may know it takes a bit of time getting a routine together. We did manage to:

1) Pick out a song (a kick-ass remix of sexbomb)
2) isolate the main "parts" of our routine
3) define some of the tricks that would be in those diferent parts
4) get a couple of pauses and "on cue to the music" parts in there
5) HIT ALL THAT DROPLESS :) (once)

So we don't have our routine written out trick for trick but we did do some solid work. So we plan on working maybe one more weekend before Euros. not sure yet but that would help to tie up any loose ends and write down every trick we'll be doing. But yeah we're geared up for Euros!

Other than that we did a bunch of single freestyle also. I don't think I hit any news tricks but a couple of combos I remember hitting:

vortex > mobius > run
vortex > gyro dlo > run
ducking osis > ripwalk [repeat] > run
a long run with smoke, both drifters, both pdx drifters, vortex and ending on osis > weaving drifter > hand catch (oh yeah that's a new trick)
far symple swirl > reverse swirl
some more pdx torques
a couple of PS whirls and whirrs WITHOUT hurting my knee!

Had a nice long shred yesterday in Paris.
A lot of people turned up for this impromptu shred in a train station (was raining outside). I played a bitof team ith two french cousins and they're really stepping their game up. I can't wait to team shred with them and Fred at EC. I played a lot of singles freestyle with Sergio also who is really reipping it up: only gripe: some of his runs are just too long (40+ tricks) and 90% genuine :)saw him hit a nice cold fusion, a thin atomic diving same whirl, a mullet > whirlwind > dropped mullet and ps whirl > reverse swirl bsos (or bs maybe).

I had a pretty good day with one new move: pogo ss flail. I didn't even feel THAT hard and I'll attempt pogo ss symp egg next session.

Some new links:
- atomsmasher x2 FINALLY (very stoked)
- pdx dlo > atomsmasher BS

inspiring attempts at:
- neutron smasher
- pandemonium
- superfly swirl

ooh hit big apple again too! I even did a couple of PS whirls and whirlwinds without my knee hurting too much so I guess that's also a good point. Can't wait to shred again. Can't wait to play some team freestyle also.

Ok just got back in from Lausanne and am at work, so here's a short report for you freestylers out there:

Honza, Ales and Felix were missing, this left the freestyle podium WIDE open for second and third place.

Routines:
1) Vasek with a cool song mixing little bits of lots of other songs. One drop I think trying to hand catch a second bag...
2) Stefan Siegert
3) EDIT: I think it was Karim Daouk (Am not sure)

Shred
1) Vasek with about 250
2) Serge with about 188
3) Paul Croenjager (sp.) don't know wcore

Sick 3
1) Vasek
2) can't remember
3) can't remember

ok so what was Vasek Hitting?

I saw him hit:
- symp whirr. VERY styly
- blurry whirr
- pdx whirr
- midtime barraging op flail BSOS
- triple atw BSOS
- barraging ps egg BUT NOT WITH A FURIOUS SET. It was up / midtime.
- an insanely long symp. run with symp whirr, barraging op flails bsos, superflies etc.
- blurry flurry
- entourage > entourage > stuff
- fs toe blur > fs toe blur > toe fog
- flurricane so easy it was disgusting
- whirr x5 > midtime barraging op flail > run > flip whirr x3 > midtime barraging op flail. (or something like that)
- gyro jani. (jani looked downtime)
- gyro downtime ripwalk bsos

What I saw him TRY but sisn't see him hit it:
- pdx whirr
- symp. whirring swirl
- 4x atw
- nemesis swirl bs (he told me he hasn't hit it yet)
- furious flurry (he told me he hasn't hit it yet)
- spinning whirr (he told me that he hasn't hit it yet but that he's VERY very close)
- gyro fury off his foot
- gyro highplains off his foot loads
- triple blender
- triple whirl (he hit this one apparently)

That's all I remember for now. And he doesn't plan on retiring, thinks he still has a couple of years freestyling before switching to net :)

Euros rocked, we had loads of sun, loads of fun, and all organisers did a great job (although they looked overworked, stressed and tired!!)

it was symp. whirr without plant.

Very very cool to look at.
Also, when he did downtime whirrs (like blurry / spinning) he'd bend at the waist to get his knee very high. The first dex was done over waist high.

Again very cool to look at.
Still, I don't think that all of them would pass the strict Somolinos-Sundberg cleaness bar.
