You see what I have to put up with!? Do you see?

I'd just about bet a bottle of Poweraid that you can't hit both those tricks on Saturday.
I reckon I'll be hitting alot more quantim stuff than you, anyway

Catch you Saturday, PUNK!

Oh, and props, man. Not only the first person to hit a 6 in Qld, but second to hit one, too! Jesse, you're good at footbag.

I've got to do some house hunting. As you may know, I've got to be out of this place by the end of Aug, so I've gotta get my arse into gear.
I'll do my best to get in there on time, but no promises.

Well this morning I got up at 8:30, msg'ed gareth and Foxy asking if they were still coming in. Foxy was too sore with blisters so he too a pass but Gareth and I had a sweet day of shred.
He was busting out really well hitting stuff like
osis>ss butt rpt into a run
plo>tripwalk
sooo close to dimwalk>ripwalk
FAIRY SS BUTTERFLY (first attempt ans sealed nicely)
some phat pixies
2 close calls with assassin
tripwalk sealed with a sweet run

Hes doing really well with quantum and his game all around. Props

I think I played Ooook. New things/highlights for me
FLIP GYRO DLO
flip pdx dlo midrun (on a run starting with blurry whirl)
close call with spinning whirl>blurry whirl
pixiewhirl>hatchet
a nice Janiwalker with my new wheel bag sealed with hand catch
stepping ss clip>ripwalk rpt starting on strong side (first attempt)
parkwalk>mullet :D
symp whirling swirl first shot
some long flowing runs
a run starting with pixie ducking whirl which included blur>pixie whirl, ripwalk and spins until a damn bus came along and I had to grab the bag :(
spinningclip>spinningclip>spinning duckinclip mid run
dimwalk>schmoe rpt first attempt
smear>toe drifter with ease into a 15-20 contact run ending with a blurry drifter footing (I havent even hit pdx drifter 8O )
blur>paradon bsos
ducking ps mirage to start a run
verrrry close to whirlygig (ending in flip ps whirl)
ripwalk>paradox whirl bsos (with ease 8) )
Mullet on camera. (clean)

After a shred we went and bought a frozen beverage and subway then sat our asses down on the grass and discussed footbag. After that we went back to his house and watched footbag vids and messed around with the cameras.
Thanks for a good day G-man

Peace

No, Jesse. Thank you.

Today was panning out to be a shitter. We found a pretty cool place that we'd like to apply for.
Foxy pulling out of the day's shred didn't help the situation, either. However, the day turned out pretty ok.

Jesse is playing amazingly well and continues to push his own boundries when it comes to footbag. The combos he's hitting are awesome to see - and his style, which is unique (Whirls  ), puts a nice touch to his game. However, I was rather heart broken to see Jesse bust out a few quantim tricks today. It's sometimes depressing to consider how quickly he reached my level of play, and how quickly he surpassed it. I'm just glad I've got someone to learn from now, however.

I was slow to get going - had a few things on my mind. But when I did get going... I was pretty pleased with how I played today. Supprisingly, my best moment was osis>ss butterfly beesause. I first tried it Wednesday night and found the change of momentum (of both me and the bag) the major hurdle. However it seemed to come (bsos) easily today. Osis is probably one of the few tricks that I've 'schooled' since my return, and it's playing well, thanks to Foxy.
Quantim is another trick that I've been playing alot with, of late, and was pretty stoked to bust out that PLO>Tripwalk combo. That was another child of Wednesday night.
The fairy butter was an absolute shock. 8O I've been trying it for a while now, but today was just perfect... just one of those fluke attempts that are so perfect, but then hide away for another few months untill, found cowering beneath a tree, beyond some fargone adventre it is re-discovered, and tamed. (That's how Phoenix was for me)

Oh, and a note to everyone who reads the BCS blog, look out for a new video to be released by me, probably by the end of the week. I've just a few final touches to make before it's finished, but it's a good laugh and will be entered into Australia's Funniest Home Videos, either for the National Video Test, or just as a standard entry. At the very least, if it gets played I get to split $500 with Foxy, so that's all good.

Well, I've pretty much finished the video. I showed Jesse most of it on Saturday, but I'm waiting to show Foxy before I release it to the public.
That'll probably be around Wednesday.

Monday night shred with Foxy at Southbank tonight. First of all, I was going into the session feeling totally relaxed and at peace. I didn't feel like I was out to acheve anything tonight - I just felt good.
When I arrived at the Piazza I discovered that it was closed off because of the Brisbane International Film Festival. So I got in touch with Foxy and told him to meet me at the back-up spot, near the beach. Fortunately, there IS a backup spot and, while Foxy and I were among the first to arrive, it eventually turned out to be a buisy night.
Bit of a slow start for the two of us. The down side to 'Plan B' is that it's not as well lit as the Piazza, so shadows can become a problem. Eventually our eyes adapted and we started busting out, though.
Foxy did well for himself (and I'm not just talking footbag ;) ), and I met a guy who drives up from the Gold Coast (almost an hours drive!!!) every monday night for the last month. He was playing alot of Diablo, but had a kick with us. I had him hitting a one sided pixie while he discovered Butterfly kick.
We left a little earlier that I would have liked, but I'm glad we did. I'm currently pretty stiff and sore from all the schooling I did tonight.
Upon returning to my car, I discovered my very first driving infringement! I got a $30 parking ticket for parking in a taxi zone. Fair call, but I'm still disappointed. The last week has been havoc on my driving record - with one red run (and countless more since, almost suffering the same fate), and now a parking ticket!
Lucky life is good.

Highlights were:

Gareth

* DLO!!! (First ever - sealed with a toe kick>hand catch)
* The sickening closeness to which pixie whirl is comming
* The 3 footed attempts at Assassin
* The (yes, I'm getting back in form) close Mullet and PS whirl attempts

Foxy

* Getting a phone number
* Learning to juggle  :D
* Excelent strong side Ripwalks
* Smear (again)

I'm positive I'm missing stuff. It was a major schooling night for us both. We didn't really try for too many strings, but seemed to go hard on the bigger tricks - probably due to the light being so poor.
Anyway, I showed Foxy the video and he seems pretty happy with it. I've a few minor changes to make before I release it yet. I'm sorry.
Anyway, it won't be too far away. I've another project I'm in the early stages of devoliping, and I'll need a bit more time and effort to make that one happen.

For me, DLO takes alot of effort to attempt. I'm only able to make 3 or 4 attempts before going on to something else, so, when I hit it (and foxy wasn't watching) I was stoked. Half of Southbank heard I hit DLO last night. :D

It sucks being sick. Monday night I hardly slept because of a blocked nose, Tuesday I felt tired and sick. I also had to inspect a house about midday on Tuesday, before going to work  . I ended up at home, in bed and on some cold & flu drugs. I didn't want to get up this morning - but did, and with a slightly more positive attitude (thanks to the drugs  ), survived the day at work.
I wanted to play today. I really did. Foxy has received the two O'Wheel bags he ordered from Jeremy, and I'm keen to help him start to break them in.
But, I have Friday off, so I might see if he's keen for a squash court session tomorrow night.

What's been happening in your neck of the woods, Jesse? Does that mixed DVD I lent to you work?

Enter, if you dare, into the quagmire of corruption and evil that haunts the mind of the poor soul that writes you this message. Be on the lookout. This movie is exteremely ..... something. It exists as a 38.13MB Download and will often be seen in the form of a WMV file.
