Kevin: More and more and more green.
Failure! Atomic Everything has yet to happen for me.
HOWEVER
You know that feeling that you get via hitting a new trick/combo/drill/whatever? And you know how there's different degrees of that feeling...?
I just had a really HIGH degree of that feeling tonight.
Symp Eggbeater > ss Symp eggbeater > rpt.
That was a long time coming, and feels really, really, really good. The handcatch was SUCH a friggin high.
Other highlights from tonight include...
- out datw > double switch > rpt, 2 for 2
- out datw > pixie double switch > rpt
- 45 pixie contacts
- [pixie legover x5 > pixie ss legover x5] > rpt
- [pixie mirage x5 > pixie ss mirage x5] > rpt
- [pixie pickup x5 > pixie ss pickup x5] > rpt
- [pixie illusion x5 > pixie ss illusion x5] > rpt
Byrin didn't hit anything "spectacular in his own eyes" per se, however:
- Rubberman...but harder (legbeater > blur > legbeater > blur > legbeater > blur > atom smasher > atom smasher > atom smasher > REPEAT)
- Flurricane (to end the session on a high note, alongside my symp egg drill)
Aside from the session...I've recently signed up at youtube.com. I was considering doing a "move of the day" kinda deal, even if it was just for weekdays. I could have 4 reasonably-not-quite-so-super-advanced tricks for monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday....and then have something a bit harder for each friday.
I know it might be tough to force myself to keep up with it, but I think it might be a cool little project to try for awhile. We'll see how long it takes before I run out of tricks.

Well, tonight I went to Red Robin to work my Restaurant Close shift...and am met at the front door by my manager. Turns out that at about 3pm today, the kitchen flooded, and we had to close doors.
ie: I didn't end up working at all.
Instead, YMCA drill session!

I worked on dlos and eggbeaters for the most part...and I also may have invented a trick. It's at the end, see for yourself. It's hard. Even if I wasn't the first, it's still really cool.
Don't read the text below until you've seen the trick. Unless you really want to. Or whatever.
It's basically a downtime omelette, with neither of the dexes being symposium. Think "a giant symple legover with an illusion thrown between the dex and the delay"...or think "symp eggbeater bailed to opp toe". Whatever, you get it.

Alrighty, aaaaaand the youtube trick of the day has begun.
http://www.youtube.com/trickoftheday
"3 new tricks every week: Relatively easy tricks on Mondays, little tougher on Wednesdays...and every friday your jaw will drop."
I figure I don't have to limit myself to those days, and that a few bonus clips here and there can't hurt either.
I'm really, really close to atomic everything. I was drilling atomics > atomics with Byrin on Monday, and I can TASTE it. It's SO close!
Stay tuned.

I just had the worst session I've had in quite some time. Granted, I was a bit sick and also fatigued...but still.
Byrin hit Atomic Everything though. I didn't even try.
Next session, I'm doing clippers for an hour. Just clippers, focusing on set height and control.
Peace.
