I was thinking of "purpose" as more of a reason for why we wish to live beyond the inherent survival instinct. Like a purpose that drives us to want to do things with that life. Animals do not have belief in more than survival. For life to have meaning humans must believe that there is more.
Some people find beliefs they feel are worth having to die for. They have found a purpose that extends beyond what humans have created. They cant prove this veiw, but they feel that believing in it makes life better than it otherwise could be. This does not mean anyone should just believe in anything. You have to actually define "better" and ways that this can be acheived.
There is a good and a bad. If I slap you on the face this will become apparent. And not becouse humans defined getting slapped as a "bad" thing.
Everyone feels that somethings are fair and others are not. Where do we get these ideas? I think we all come with some level of what is good and what is evil preprogrammed in us. Psychopath is often defined as someone who has no feel for right or wrong.

So then it sounds like our natural inclination to find some belief worth dieing for is another one of natures ways of keeping our population growth under control.
How many people have died for religion..... a fucking lot. Since we have no natural predator to limit our numbers it makes sense for our species to evolve in this manner.
Of course we all feel that there are good things and bad things, but does life exist without the bad.... no it does not, so that leads the question if our survival relies on a balance of evil and good doesnt that make evil just as important. In the end dont you think its just mother natures balance to keep this planet (not us) but this planet as a whole alive for as long as possible. Life is not sacred, Life is expendable we will all die and thats not whats important whats important is keeping this planet alive for as long as possible thats the bottom line thats the top priority in the laws of mother nature.
You are expendible this planet is not.

How could the current state of things be anything but natural? All things on the earth are natural because they are made from elements that are natural. Humans are natural creatures. Plants are natural. Waste products of plants are natural because plants are natural. Waste products of humans or human activity on earth is natural too because it came from a natural source. Hence, war is natural. Technology is natural, because with what do we biuld it? Things that exist on this planet- natural things. The only things unnatural to Earth are things that do not yet exist on this planet. Even then, they might become natural if they evolve from things that DO already exist here.

So then maybe that is our purpose, We are the awnser to this planets end. Nothing goes on forever everything that is given a beginning will have an end and it seems more evident each and everyday that if anything is gonna destroy this planet it will be Mankind.
Have we evolved into earths demise.
We all want to believe in the sugar coated happy ending cause those are the storys we grew up listening to and thats the concepts of the religion alot of us live by and maybe thats the reason were so obsessed with happy endings, maybe we our so delesional to the unavoidable fate that we should all fear but dont because thats the attitude that keeps us in a destructive lifestyle.
In general our society cares more about the present than the future. We care more about the survival of old life than the surival of new life.
If your looking for a purpose in life this is the one that makes sense. Go ahead and try to argue this fact, try telling me in what way do we create more than we desroy, and then try convincing me that we are ever gonna change our ways or even slow down, all evidence says we will only get worse, we will consume more and more and more until nothing is left.
As of this moment this is our purpose and in my mind this argument is over cause its not gonna change and we all know that. The efforts of a few will never out weigh the efforts of a shit load of lazy consuming selfish people (and iam one of them
