Today's was the best session of march so far. I didn't expected that because I was quite tired both mentally and phisically, since I was very busy all day long. I deadly wanted to play, but had to watch the whole beautiful and sunny day without any footbag releated things. As I got home, after eating I started to shred immediately.

I finally hit a drill I sucked with for ages: ducking butterfly>stepping whirl>rpt! :) I was happy about this one. Also had some really nice random strings.
I decided to learn symposium tricks; I sucked with them big times until now. Starting this process I practiced ss symple butterfly>ss symposium mirage>rpt. Even this easy drill showed me how very important the rhytm is in symposium tricks. I hope I can reach some development in them.

Tomorrow I'm going to have an outdoor session with Ábel, Finally!! Now I'll try to remember how very I missed these sessions during the cold season.
peace and take care!

Let's start with the highlights:

spinning pdx whirl bsos
pixie ss whirl> pdx eggbeater>pixie legover>rpt.
slapdown>blizzard>rpt.
symposium whirl>infinity>rpt.
tapping whirl bs

That was the most important part I guess. I love the spring and of course footbag :)

Ohh shitttt.
I just finished likely the most hardcore session in my whole life. Not the most successful though. It was 3 hours long, and I spent the last 70 minutes with trying to get whale tale bsos. Unfortunately I didn't get it, but it was a great practice. I'm sure I hit more than 100 of them on my flip, and would be surprised if I couldn't hit it easily on my next session.
On the 16th april I'm going to visit the austrian crew again, and want to show my best shape. I play 4-5 times a week, and it feels very good. I had a lot of highlights since my last post, but somehow I felt useless to write them here. Instead of that, i decided to list them together. So here they are:

12 contact unique tripless (pretty random, though)
flipside scorpion's tail
zulu pdx illusion midstring
barfly>down doubledown>barfly
flipside reaper
spinning rake bs
inside to inside nagellam bs
and some other things I've totally forgotten.

I hope we'll have a nice sunny day on sunday, 'cause we want to gather a huge session on the margaret-island. We used to have sessions like this one during the summer of 2007 and '08, and they were awesome. It's pretty time for a next one.

Nowadays I focus on my run consistency and putting unusual tricks and links in my game, not on big tricks or combos. That's why I haven't posted here for ages; I didn't want to write posts like "I practiced some barflys, they feel good" and stuff like that. An other reason is that I decided to collect the remarkable highlights and post them together here but always forget most of them in 2-3 days.
Anyway, I practiced a lot of barflys and they feel really good (not jk :D ) First I got it b2b I was really happy, now it's kind of an easy link. The other concept I feel like I've improved in is flipside pixie. Now it is much more controlled and cleaner. I hit 2 new drills with it:
Pigbeater>pixie ss eggbeater>rpt. and
pixie dlo>pixie legover>rpt.

Summer is here and the weather I was waiting for has finally arrived. It's outdoor season!!! The only sad thing is that I'm very busy with my studies and can play only like 3 times a week. As the exams get over, I can start to organize the 6th Hungarian Footbag Camp :) This year I want to make a really well organized, totally footbag-related event. Be prepared!!

Okay, I cannot keep this one in myself. I had a nice solo session today which produced a very unexpected highlight:

Whirling infinity bs!!

I love this trick so much, but never practiced it really. Today I did, and got the result. I'm going to school this set, it is so awesome. Also hit diving whirl bsos, but it was about time. Tomahawks are getting easier too, a highlight like tomahawk & diving whirl bsos would be coool.

Next week I have tonns of important exams, a full night-long goa party and a very-very important date with a girl coming from my dreams ahead, but damn, I'll shred at least 4 times!! :D

ps. expect an awesome video about Ábel and me soon

Thanks for the reply Verena! :)
The exiting week is over, and it was totally awesome! The date with the girl (aka my currently girlfriend) couldn't have been better, the exams were fine, I failed to pass only the easiest and less important one; I was a bit pissed off about it, but who cares. The party was just magical, pure psychedelic trance experience. Now I'm still recovering from it, but kicked a little bit. It was huge fun. I had a nice combo: tapping pickup>opp. butterfly>swirl>walkover> ss whirling rake>run. It would be fine to hit in a circle variety round. Also got a new move, kind of dream-like: Flurry! I have been sucking with it for ages as usual, but now figured out the rhythm, and hit it. It would be nice to learn this trick, I'll work on it or something.

So now I finally have enough time and energy to shred instead of just messing around.
Today's was a great beginning of the summer season, even if the weather could have been better. My stamina and control need some improvement but I played okay. The highlight of the session was spinning pdx eggbeater bsos I guess. I hope to play really often now, and enjoy the beauty, peace and joy of the summer.

My hopes turned into reality, I play like 5 times a week, and it feels good. Shitty sessions occur very rare.
Some highlights from the last week: 51 ducking clippers, spikehammer with flipside stepping ducking set (ugly execution, but footed a few really cool ones, so I think it counts), and tonns of pdx whirls.
I liked to mention that I suck with pdx whirl a lot, but somehow I figured out how to hit it, as usual. There are a lot of concepts which feel deadly hard to learn, but you only need to find the right rhythm, effort, set high, etc.
Now my pdx whirls feel a lot more controlled, cleaner, less tiring, overall better. The next challenge is to put them into different combos, I mean stepping and spinning out of them, which is still hard for me. The same thing with doubledowns.
I'm preparing myself for the 6th Hungarian Footbag Camp. It's the only hungarian footbag event currently, our scene is kind of passive, but I want to kick ass there. Can't wait to visit the austrian crew again too. They are likely the best guys to play circle with. I'd need to visit more footbag tournaments though :) This year I'll try to make it to Zocha Jam. That would kick ass!

Today's session was a very intense one. I wish I had that shape at any circle contest. The highlight was clearly a good executed spikehammer, caught on tape!

Also had some very nice runs, with tomahawk bsos, ducking butterfly>spinning butterfly>rpt and stuff like that.
I felt the power. Watched some Jim Penske footage, which always pumps me up before playing. I wish I have his intensity, speed and flexibility.
It looks like tomorrow will be a rest day, I don't feel that exhausted but I have to work, and my afternoon will be full of duties.
I love this job anyway. I support my judo ex-sensei and help him to train and look after 28 small kids in a sport-camp. It is fun though, reminds me to my years sacrificed to that sport.

First session after 5 days break, less control but more power and energy.
Watching some Penske footage always pumps me up, like it did this time as well.
The session wasn't that long actually, it has a great "for fun" aspect.

Highlights:
Tomahawk b2b
pdx whirl>reverse swirl>rpt
swirl>rev swirl>repeat
stepping blender
spinning osis>motion.

What should I say, I enjoy myself, play a lot, and have a nice, peaceful feeling in my heart most of the time. I have to remember that this is the summer I was waiting for during the winter and the spring, and I have to enjoy it as much as I can. After the first rainy days of the autumn I want to feel like, wooohow how such a great time it was, not like "oh crap it didn't even begin".

I had 2 good sessions in the past 2 days. Both of them was rainy as fuck but I played well and hit some nice stuff. Here they are:

flipside pdx torque (or I better should say new strongside, since it is better than my original strong in every aspect)
blizzard>flail>double switchover
run with flail, toe opp symposium whirl & pixie symposium mirage
blurry whirl>blurriest>run
27 ducking butterflies
toe opp. symp. reverse whirling rake bs (easier than I expected)

A very good friend of mine is just about entering our wonderful sport. He practices stuff like toe stalls, inside kicks, atw and mirage, I think he is kind of talented. I hope he'll have enough motivation for the first 3-4 months, which is the hardest part of a footbag career I think.

Yesterday I had an average session. Nothing huge, only one:
125 infinities.
Good luck to Radek with 200. You're crazy, man.

It was nice to visit the austrian crew again. We had a great shred, the only sad thing is that 2,5 hours was clearly too short. :) We all were in a good shape I guess, I had a lot of good strings and hit some nice stuff, like flip ripped warrior first try and 9 ss eggbeaters in a row.
It was my first time playing with a bearbag. I was really curious about his bags since I know that they're very popular, and after trying a 2-stitch of Brian, I have to say it's not an accident. Clearly one of the bests I have ever been shredding with.
After doing some shopping we just hanged out on a nice square and met some nice people. I love that I make new friendships every time I visit an event or even a jam. Talking in the night, we noticed some guys kicking in circle under a stronger light. We couldn't control our passion of footbag, so we changed our shoes and went near them to kick. The two surprising facts were that even being drunk and high, we played very well, and that the circle kicker guys did not give a shit on us. It was a nice circle anyway.

Next day unfortunately we missed our bus to home because there was a little mess with the public transport, but it only meant we still had a few hours to chill in a nice park. Overall it was super fun and gave us a lot of inspiration. I'm looking forward to visit you again! :)

Oh boy. We just returned from the 6th Hungarian Footbag Camp, which was an amazing event. We missed the competition I planned there because the lack of players' motivation and time (most of them only came for the weekend) but we had a lot of nice sessions, likely every day.
One of the most memorable moment was a one hour long shred in the middle of the night, we spontaneously started to kick after midnight, it was super fun. Like every year, the last evening was the best, we all played like 2-3 hours long, and I hit some good stuff:

tomahawk & diving whirl bsos
run with blurriest & blurrier bsos + a blurry whirl at the end
127 far clippers
16 contact unique tripless:

and tonns of other nice strings. During the last killer session I sweat so hard I had to go to the toilet and wring the water out of my pants; it was like I had a nice shower in them or something. It was hardcore.
After the Ozora festival (which was bloody awesome as well) I started to recover and build up my best shape ever. On 3rd september the Hungarian Champs will be organized again and I want to show the world some good shit. So far it's going well. I also plan to cut a video together from the stuff we filmed in the camp.

Well, I was really thinking about writing some groundbreaking thoughts about footbag here or just some every day wisdom, but didn't get any. You know, I just kick a lot and so on.
We had a samll event which supposed to be the Hungarian champs, but there were only 2 competitors in open freestyle including me, so we made one single pool with the intermediate competitors. I won it, but it wasn't that glorious. My second routine was a really good one, but unfortunately only a part of it is on tape.

I list here some highlights from my last several sessions as well:

ducking butterfly>spinning ducking butterfly>rpt.
pixie ducking legover>phoenix>ducking far legover rpt.
wonton butterfly
spinning pdx whirling rake

I hope to kick soon. Now I'm kind of freaked out, my weekend was kind of crazy with a lack of rest :D

Well, a long break again.
I'm still playing, breaking my new lavers in. I had to buy a new pair since the old ones had giant holes on the sole which wasn't that comfortable after a time. The new ones seemed big, hard and tough, but the're better on every session. I'm kind of busy with the university (partying, learning, etc), and just got a new girlfriend (after a whole year - FUCK YEAH!!!), but manage to play at least 2-3 times a week.
I don't really remember to all the new stuff I hit during the last month, but I play well I guess. Getting used to a new laver and recovering from a small ankle-injury got me back a little bit, but now I'm fine. I also want to show my best in Vienna, at the austrian champs.

One of my biggest plans now is to make it to Worlds. Like half a year ago one of my friends asked me when we go to climb high mountains and eat blueberries in the pinewood, and I answered, well, you know, next summer we gonna totally make it. Let's go to south Poland! The fact that worlds will be in Poland made my decision even easier. I'll go to Poland, eat blueberries and compete at Worlds in every categories.
