8th page bitches!!! Can a moderator sticky this thread?

Erik - Try elbow pinchers. :) Those are pretty fun. Same with squeezing the ball under your chin. That can make for a fun break in the flow of a run.

Lately I've been getting into some really neat multiplexing patterns. I really want to post a video for you guys but I haven't had the chance yet. Hopefully it won't be *too* long before I'm able to. I'll try and get some footage at Folklife.

Also, Matt Baker is moving up to Seattle from Olympia (capital of WA... about an hour and a half south of Seattle). Matt is an amazing 3-ball juggler, and a pretty good footbagger to boot! I'm going to pry him for all his 3-ball knowledge. :D If you want to see a video of him juggling there's a clip at the beginning of the Lackadaisical video by Allan Haggett that he released a long time ago.[/u]

Erik Chan wrote:I did this neat trick today.
It's like a "kick" with the back of my elbow, like on my elbow, on the back of my arm, with my forearm at a 90 degree angle facing down at the ground. So I did cascade with one ball alternating elbow kicks. It felt really neat :)

I can't believe it! I tried that today for the first time ever, before reading your post! Actually I had never even heard of it before...weird, but in a funny way. :D

I got the inspiration accidentally while I was practising Behind the Back throws and "elbowed" one ball. Plus, after all I got down the thing I was trying to hit:
 Behind the back throws bsos :)
well, and...
 Elbow "kicks"

They don't have to because this thread stays up anyway. :)
I'll try the elbow pinchers.

Yeah, I was doing behind the back tosses too, when I started doing this. But I think what got me doing it was that I started doing some knee and toe kicks between cascade tosses.

I love behind the back, though.
Behind the back is one of my favourites right now. I do the same as with the elbows, one ball going back and forth behind my back while I "cascade" the other two. I think I've done, like, 6 alternating, or something. It feels so good :D

EDIT: I got Take Outs :D I was trying to figure out Burkes Barrage, but the Wildcat site was down, and it was impossible to figure it out without the guy's tips. I had half of the pattern, but couldn't figure out how to repeat it. Now that I have Take Outs I think I will be able to get it. No time right now though. I showed my mom and she thinks it's my most impressive trick, because of the arm movement. She says it looks graceful. My girlfriend likes Yo-yo 1-up 2-up the best -- it makes her laugh :D

Last night I moved into a new room in my newly extended and remodeled house, so I had about twelve people over to inaugurate it. My buddy Luke who is also a good juggler came by and brought his props. He had two sets of three VERY nice light-up juggling balls. We turned the lights off, put on some very cool electronic tracks, and had my inebriated friends recline in my room as we proceeded to wow them with a plethora of fancy juggling tricks. Everyone thought it was way cool.

Folklife starts today. :)

hey nice one Sam!

Dylan Fry does a nice one with one ball trapped under the chin, then holds the other two over his eyes and makes like a weird funny face

thats all

im sorry if that was irrelevant

I got Factory today :)
Before when I tried it I just couldn't, for the life of me, figure out the dropping. I kept wanting to do a shuffle-like toss. I figured it out in like 2 minutes today, though. It feels neat! Then I tried Inverted Shower, but didn't put too much work into it, because the Wildcat guy said it's really hard.
It takes so much work and thinking to learn new juggling tricks :? (So I usually don't even bother trying...)

Here's a pretty sweet resource I found. http://www.toddstrong.com/page1.htm

My juggling has been quite the bomb lately. I've been learning sugar box and have started throwing stuff like clawed mess. Keeping it super "genuine" as always. Hopefully I can put up a vid before too long... How many times have I said that now? I'd love to see a video of your progress, Erik.

Edit:

Some new tricks I've gotten off of that site are the crank, demetre's double crank, and penman's pandemonium. Although, I was already doing demetre's and the crank, having accidentally figured them out a while ago, just not knowing what they were.

Here's a video I made.
I never really noticed how sloppy a lot of my stuff was before I watched myself here. My shuffle is really bad :( I'm trying to clean it up. I look really goofy too. Oh yeah, and it's a really bad angle and you can't see anything below, like, when I do The Box you can't see the lower tosses, though they are probably really weak too. I'll make a better video some time; I'm really rushed right now.

I also did something kinda neat today. I was juggling for my girlfriend and I did toe kicks between cascade, and she liked that, then I did behind the back tosses and she liked that too, so I did behind the back toss to toe kick between cascade -- it was cool :D

Weird. I just watched your video Erik. Sweet stuff man. I find it riduclus that I had a sesh last night and did almost the same stuff you did in the video. Almost the exact same throws on 4-ball fountain sych/async. Really have made some progress on your skillios. I just need to catch up with you on the box  Maybe learn takeouts ...

5 catches of lung blocker yesterday.

Behind the neck throws every throw alternating hands getting fairly consistent.

Overhead cascade looking up to staring forward to looking up -- a few times now. :)

Just juggled for awhile, put together about 6 or 7 raw clips. Didn't really think about what I was going to hit, I just did whatever. Maybe next time I'll write out the stuff I can do first...then do it...because this isn't a very good representation of my ability. :)

Oh well. Don't mind all the mills mess stuff.

Pshhh, where da jugglers at??

Stuff I've been working on/running lately:

- fun boston's mess combos with fakes thrown in all over the place
- a weird 1 up 2 up variation
- penguined inverted shower
- mill's mess w/ penguined u-ball
- reverse inverted shower (just started learning this one)
- dabbling at double clawed right middle left
- clawed windmill
- multiplexing with a dash of style

I really should put out a video but I'm a little lazy. Anyone going to US Open will for sure see it there. :)

Curious to hear what other people who were posting in this thing are hitting lately.

3 clubs with ease. :)
19 contacts of halfmess with clubs today, and about 9 of mills mess.

Reverse cascade with clubs pretty easily...um, 8 or 9 catches of behind the back stuff (like in my video, only behind my back and not under my armpit, and with clubs, and only on one side)...

Backcrosses you mean...?

- One-hand 4 ball flashes (w/ both hands)
- 15 catches of 5 ball full shower
- 4 ball 7531s and 5441s
- 4 ball 7333 (X 3) :D

Props to all - Sam, ever thought of blessin us with a vid ? Like half of the stuff you post sounds real funky, and the second half i dont even get, so....

With the help of Stefans keen eyes i could correct my reoccuring mills mess mistakes, now its heaps easy and i dont even understand what took me so long  !

I also worked on simple slams, crossed arm reverse cascade and crossed
arm (fake) one up-two down patterns .
Yesterday i got factory and datw ( not "double dex chop" but da real deal)
fairly consistently, but not on bs yet.

Body trix are also coming along - in short my juggling is ok enough to make people smile at the busstop :D

My next projects would be getting better at shower and consecutive claws, learn box and penguin catches.

I got some old bowling pins from work on Thursday, and I started juggling them as clubs. I've never juggled clubs before, but surely these are hella heavier. I just weighed them and they're about 2.25 lbs each!

I got three clubs today! I am so excited; this is REALLY fun!
My record is 34 tosses.
They're so heavy that I can't juggle indoors, though, because they would gouge the floor. They're gouging my backyard as it is. Fun stuff!!

I'll make a video soon.
I'm doing a bit of two-club alternating behind the back too, and trying the same, but both clubs at the same time behind the back, which I haven't really got yet. 3 club juggling alone is so fun though! Maybe soon I will be able to do double spins? I can do double, triple, and I may have done quadruple spins just one club at a time, but that's really neat too.

My arms are sore @______@
How much do regular clubs weigh??

EDIT: 60-something tosses 8)
EDIT 2: I looked up juggling club weights...it looks like the average club weighs 200 grams? And 2.25 pounds converts to about 1012 grams @_____@ That's 5 times heavier! My arms get tired after, like, 10 minutes -- it feels so good!
