Okay, full write up goin in blog I guess, but let me say this was the BEST event competition-wise I've been to hands down. The level of shred in this event was unbelievable. The Event was set up and executed perfectly, without a hitch by Red Husted. The Circle Comp was a success! I had my doubts on the format after watching the Worlds vid, but it was awesome to watch, and Ellis Plitz even made a suprise guest performance to make it all happen- again, full write up in blog.

Thanks goes out to Red and Sole Purpose Footbag-without whom none of this could've happened, all of the sponsors, and all of the players that made this the most exciting event ever!

what a great weekend! nice to meet so many people, and to see lots of homies. It's good to see this little sport of ours is not only surviving, but thriving.

Footbag-wise it was loads of fun. The level of talent today is staggering; so many good players, not just those at the top anymore. Hosting the Circle was a real honor for me, and I thank everyone who participated, INCLUDING THE AUDIENCE. Without them, it would not have been nearly as fun overall or inspiring for the players. The bonus round in Finals was unreal; thanks to whoever started chanting. Props to the top 4; that was an epic jam.

I actually managed to kick for about an hour on the last day, and even played well for about 10 whole minutes! These days LIFE really gets in the way of practice, but it's good to know I can still have fun after all these years, even if I'm not in good form. I also managed to take a couple games against Steve Goldberg in 2-square, but was never able to win a match lest I steal his undefeated status. One day, Steve, you'll get yours. Get those arcs up!

Very special thank you to Red for letting me host the Circle contest at the Open!!! The whole thing was very well organized. More very special thanks to Nick Landes for taking on a lot of responsibility in organizing the Circle; I couldn't have done it without you, buddy.

Also, sorry for not being at the event more. I had to miss the first day because of work, then when I was there, I had to do some shooting for a film I'm writing, so I missed all the parties. But of course I'm focusing on the times I *was* there, because the glass is half full, maybe more.
