I wrote a long post about my uncleâ€™s death and subsequent services but it was a bit too much for the forum. I wrote about what it has taught me about faith and leaving a legacy. Needless to save my uncle will be missed.

I fly back to Portland tomorrow after the church service. Tomorrow I will be 20 years old. I have a lot to think about.

Hey David,

Happy Birthday!! I hope that you had a good one.

When I read your post about your loss, it took me back to the day that my dad died, four years ago. I still think about him everyday. I can't not think about him. It changed me. Stay strong. I dealt with it by drinking a lot of vodka for about two weeks. I'm not sure that was the best way. I'm always down to talk if you want.

The carpets are dirty, the sink is full of dishes, and almost a thousand beer bottles line the side of the deck. Needless to say the U.S Open has come and gone. I sit on my bed in the basement, just a few freestylers left upstairs sleeping in preparation for early morning flights back to normal life. It is late and I have to work tomorrow, but something keeps me up as always. I am in one of those weird post-tournament states where I donâ€™t know whether to be happy or sad, my insides a mix of feelings about footbag.

This weekend was full of a lot of highs. I came into this tournament playing twice a week with a messed up knee, but sucked it up and competed the best I have in a long time. It makes me wonder what I couldâ€™ve done at full health with more prep. I had a lot of good hangouts with friends from all over. Saw Ashley for the first time in 10 months. Bought some cool clothes with people who got here early on Thursday. Sold like 17 bags or something. Had some surprising encounters.

My love hate relationship with this game continues with full force. I am at a crossroads now, wondering where to go with the game that has given me so much but also left me feeling slightly empty. No matter what I am going to try to heal my knee up.

I have two weeks left in this awesome city. I love the weather, the sunsets, how there are more bikes than cars. I am happy that Ashley could see where I live and love it as much as I do. I am happy I have a 2nd family in footbag.

Man, its been a while.

So I havenâ€™t written in two weeks, and a fair bit has happened since then. Finished the clean up from the U.S open and then went back to work at my internship. Went out to the company headquarters for the summer company picnic that I was on the planning committee for. I won the company dance off (beating Kenny). Another accomplishment for the list. I now am working from Portland and will continue to work when I go back to Bethlehem. The internship is fun and interesting and I might as well stay busy until school starts.

I also started playing footbag again last week, even though my knee is still pretty stupid. I guess here is the place to announce that I am starting a DVD project that has no release date as of now. I have been filming for the past couple days and think I have some solid stuff down. I really want to document my progress and also put out a lot of tutorials. It will be a shitload of stuff on one DVD and Iâ€™m really excited to put it together. So look out for that over the next few months hopefully unless school eats up my life.

Speaking of school, it starts august 25th. I go back around the 20th, and will chill with Bevier for a couple days before hand, then move in all of my stuff into my new apartment. I am stoked to see my old friends and start another year at good old PSU. I am hella involved in the marketing association and I am the head of fundraising for this year which is going to mean A LOT of work. We will see.

Besides shred and work I spend a lot of time with Nick Landes and other Sole Purpose members. Also my roommate Alex Bernstein. I have solid friends here and I really like it. I also got my haircut today. I went to this place that is a beauty school so you can get your hair cut for $3. It was sick, and the girl was decent, and now I look superb and my wallet is the same thickness. Good news.

I am getting more into magic every day. I have the passion for it I used to have for footbag. I really want to start performing more at school events. I was on the bus late last night and I was sitting next to this guy and he looked really tired. And I had my deck and I was just like â€œhey man can I show you something?â€

Im alittle drunk right now but i read that post and I got the feeling your happy especially after ready that you making brownies. How did oyur haircut go by the way.

You sopund like life is pretty decent right now, that;s always a good fgeeling.

Great to hear that your life is going up David. Definitely get better at magic, because whenever I see you at tournaments performing card tricks in front of us footbaggers, your eyes light straight up in giving people a good show.

It will be sweet to see in the East Coast again. Funtastiks?

Also, I would like to taste your cooking, if the chance arrives.
