Tried to film that but got nowhere close. Filmed a couple barefoot attempts at beta phasing ss double blender though and will post that when I get my laptop back depending on what the dexes look like.

Will do Erik
Found a dynamic microphone in my parents garage along with a 1/8inch adapter. Once I figure out how to adjust the fruity loops settings I'm gonna start singing a little, playing guitar into it, and using it as a vocoder. Ecitement seaping out of my body!

Didn't get the library clerk job. Don't know how as my only work experience is four years at a library. Might bail to far legover and work at a grocery store.

I'm gonna copy Ken Somolinos and Erik Chan
Some random hacky facts about me:
â–ºI first saw freestyle by Vasek Klouda doing a routine online to a Panjabi MC song. I would later realize that I actually first saw freestyle by Chad in "She's All That"
â–ºI then modded my Adidas Allstars and decided to learn freestyle
â–ºHit toe opp butter my first attempt ever. Then I was hooked.
â–ºWas one-sided for the first few years of my footbag career. hit symp miragex14 before I could hit flip mirage or flip atw.
â–ºMy very first tournament was the 1st Annual Montana Freestyle Jam in April 2004. Jim Penske was hitting ps whirls b2b and i thought he was god. Daryl promptly became the pixie master in my eyes
â–ºI did leggy atomics until the beginning of 2007, but didn't do them at all for the two years prior.
â–ºMy first out-of-state tournament was the Seattle Juggling Footbag Festival in november 2004. This is where I met James Randall and Nick Landes (it was their first too). Won intermediate sick3 with toe blur>smear>leggy legbeater. It's in the A-Z section of Evan Lovelys sjff video under K for my name
â–ºHit swirl for the first time in 2004. I wouldn't hit it again until Worlds07.
â–ºNow i can do symple swirls, but not regular swirls
â–ºMy first 4 add trick was pixie opp symp mirage
â–ºMy first 5 add trick was leggy atomic opp dyno, completely flukish
â–ºMy first 6 add trick was probably mullet
â–ºMy first 7 add trick was alpine marius
â–ºShred shoe history: 1 adidas allstars 2 white leather lavers 3 red canvas lavers 4 rasta gunits 5 raiders gunits 6 black and blue gunits 7 quantum 2s
â–ºQuantum 2s have lasted longer than any shred shoe
â–ºMy shred shoes have been at least an inch too big until the quantums
â–ºOutside of the Montana Jam, I've only been to tournaments in 6 locations: SJFF (last 4 years), CSS6&7, Shredmonton '06 & '07, Worlds 07, Idaho Jam '07, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Jam (Idaho '07), Northwest Fest (Portland).
â–ºJames and I named whizz (whirling inside) as a joke, and people are now using it
â–ºFirst ducked stepping in 2004, I can still only do it on occasion.
â–ºFlip fairy is damn near impossible
â–ºGyro/spinning clip was one of the hardest tricks for me to learn
â–ºmy strong symp whirl/ps whirl, is my flip whirl/pdx whirl
â–ºfirst BAPsters to meet was Jim and Daryl
â–ºI've only ever done 2 beastly. My first combo was food>mullet, then whirlygig>marius, maelstrom>ps torque, maelstrom>blurry torque, whirlygig>food, food>marius, marius>mindbender
â–ºI've never owned many footbags. My first 32 panel is to-date the worst footbag I've ever seen in my life. It's been named the douche-bag.
â–ºFirst quad was arch-nemesis. Others are nemesis bs (doubt the flip was clean), and pixie fusion. Footed some others but not hit.
â–ºOne of my biggest footbag pet-peeves is self-serving

When does your timeline above start (i.e. what year was it that you first saw freestyling vasek etc.)
I used to be super against self serving. Now I've sort of changed to: no self serving at events or if you're playing with someone new, but if you're just shredding with your regular practice partner, it's fine. Are you against it in all instances (just trying to figure out if I'm out of touch with the freestyle crowd or not)

Want to make that 7? Come to NYJ this year. You won't regret it for one second. Plus I'll be there, what more motivation does one need?Kevin wrote:Outside of the Montana Jam, I've only been to tournaments in 6 locations

Amateurs practice until they can get it right.
Professionals practice until they can't get it wrong.
No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Habit@: Once I get a job. I also mentioned that I should just move there.
Ben Miley: also, once a job is in line
Hit 2 new 3 adds while dinking around in my room: frantic opp knee bump and switchover outside.

Sawe Vasek around February 2003, modded the adidas allstars may 2003.Rieferman wrote:When does your timeline above start (i.e. what year was it that you first saw freestyling vasek etc.)
I think I'm out of touch with the freestyle crowd on this one. I'll just take a passback or wait for my next turn. If you're playing with a regular partner, they tend to give you passbacks.Rieferman wrote:I used to be super against self serving. Tried playing in my bedroom today. only managed about 15 minutes of play. Thought of a new drill and hit it: spinning whirl>blender>rpt. that was fun. also did a bunch of rakes and worked on flip barfly and stepping out of it.
edit:
Just messed around barefoot. Tried flip merlin. I've only hit that trick once but managed to hit it a few times
hilights:
-merlinx3 starting on flip
-flip pixie merlin *new trick*
-flip voodoo *new trick*
-flip fairy ss egg *new trick*
-footed eggbeater>merlin>rpt a few times

Had a pretty strange night. Went to the bar and met some friends, and had a 3 hour argument with my friends new gf who i had just met. every time I'd start talking, she'd cut me off with her views...for 3 straight hours. We figured out a system to talk where a 409 bottle was used as the talking stick. This was pointless because she still wouldn't let me get a word in, I then sprayed her in the face with 409 and felt like a dick.

Just had a job interview and I think I nailed it. They said they'd probably call me tomorrow and I'd start working Monday. WOOO! One of the interviewers recognized me as one of the hacky sack kids
