I weightlifted today :) Targeted my back. I got the book Weightlifting for Dummies awhile back because I had a $20 off certificate to Borders, and the book was only $12 on its own. 80% of north americans experience backpain :( :? :x and it's probably going to get worse as people get lazier and lazier. At least I'm trying to do something about it. I'm thinking of only lifting once or twice a week, just so I can commit to it. If I do more than that, I'll probably just quit after like one or two weeks. So until I'm committed, I'm going to leave it at that.

My legs hurt. I need to take about a week break and just let my legs rest. After my session they were fried. It's most likely overuse, which would be like the third or fourth overuse injury I've had since I've started; a sure sign to take a short break, haha.

So here's the stuff I did today:
 Drifter B2B :D (I've been trying that one for awhile)
 2 Symposium Mirages, BS
 2 DLO BS
 28 contacts of legover>ss legover>rpt
 5 alternating fairies

So I'll leave this blog on a positive note.

Nice job on the Drifter b2b, on the 5 alternating fairys as well, are you talking uptime? or like ss illusions?

Is that clip from and TV show that used to play on comedy central? Stella, if i recall correctly. I thought it was alright, didn't last long though. Just like Flight of the Concords.

SS Illusions. I've never drilled them before, and it feels a little different than just a regular illusion. I figure that I might as well learn them. And yeah, it's Stella. I wish it lasted longer. They had some great stuff on there. So did Flight of the Conchords. People suck for not liking them and watching them and putting them off the air

I thought I'd get today off, but I ended up helping push my friend Jake's car about half a mile to his house  He was driving, and a strange smoke came out of his car, and all of a sudden his engine died. My other friend in the car called his mom to help jump the car, but it turned out the battery connector was broken and no matter how much he tried, he couldn't get it back on. There really wasn't very much else we could do besides push it. It could've been farther away, so we were lucky. A couple nice people jumped out of their cars and helped us push a couple blocks. One of the guys said "this has got to be hard on your legs" and I said to him "nah, mine are used to it" and smiled to myself (lolz footbag joke) :P. Anyways, just a fun little story of what happened today for anyone who reads this.

I think people need to listen to and comprehend Zeitgeist before they judge it. I didn't like it at first, but I kept listening to it and it kept getting better and better. It's impossible to compare their cd's since they're all so different. People just need to shut up, because it really is a good cd, despite Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream being such a big hit, and the lack of D'arcy and James.

Smashing Pumpkins are still the only band to make me cry. I've actually kept a list of the songs that have made me cry. Mellon Collie title track, Stumbliene, Spaceboy, and 1979. And I'm not really an 'emotional' person or anything, I was just sitting in my bed listening to them and out of the blue, started crying. It was kind of weird, and I can't really explain it any better. I guess that's just how powerful those songs are.

I've got like 200 of their songs on my ipod, and I'm still not done downloading all their stuff :P It's mostly, if not all, stuff from the Rarities and B-sides cd though.

If theres one thing I really hate, it's long car rides. Fuck. I just went to WIU for a college visit, and the ride was 3 hours each way. And I can't do anything but sleep in cars anymore for that long of a period of time. And I'm 6'4" so it's somewhat hard to lay down and sleep. So for 6 hours today, I was laying in the back of a car, scrunched up, and asleep. It pretty much kills my back and makes me feel like a piece of shit.

Thursday me and my friend Jake were playing some kickysack in the hall, waiting for his dad to pick us up. I didn't have lavers, so I played barefoot, which was kind of hard. All I did was toe moves, since I haven't practiced inside stalls barefoot. A couple people saw and probably didn't think much of it. The track team passed us a couple times, which was kind of weird for me since I used to be in track, and supposedly everyone's dissapointed that I'm not in it this year, but fuck em.

Friday Jake came over and we played in my basement. He got like 11 consecutive kicks. I hadn't played in a couple days, so there was nothing really worth mention. Well, I guess there kind of was:
 Ripwalk B2B

I'm still trying to install my camera on my computer. When I insert the cd, it gives me a list of 3 programs to install. There should be 4, but the one that I need to install isn't showing up on the list. Of all the ones there, right?

The connector on my ipod is broken, so sound only comes out of the left speaker. If I hold the end of the headphones down and to the right the sound is fine, but the ipod's been broken for awhile and I'm kind of getting sick of holding it in weird positions, so my mom's buying me a new one. I'm not at a loss though, because I found the one I'm using at Naperville's Ribfest. Somebody just dropped it and left it. So I've been using that one for like 2 years now, I believe. Then I'm going to buy one of those armband thingys so I can listen to my ipod and workout/shred at the same time.

Well, that's all I have to say, I guess. I'm gunna go play Donkey Kong 64 now

Good session today. I think it was only like an hour long. I started making a routine to that one song One Thousand Miles that's on that one Zales or Jared commercial. Its pretty gay, but it was fun to do. I drop too much for it to be a real routine, but in time I'll overcome that. That's going to be next year's talent show routine.

I recorded myself on camera today and noticed slouching was still a problem. But I saw the trend around the time I was hitting osis in my strings, so that means I have to stand up straighter when doing osis. I think I'm going to be ok with slouching from now on. My posture's come a long way.

So anyways, here's the stuff I hit today AND friday.
 15 guiltless. I may or may not have hit more, but I've never counted before.

Weird session today. Nice day out though. I played ok, I guess.

My legs are still bothering me. Here's some things I've thought of to make it better:
 new shoes. the bottoms of my feet are bothering me. I can't make up my mind on climas or gunits though. I won't fit in quantums. I heard g-units were discontinued? I don't know if this is true or not, but I can probably still find some in the dark corners of the internet. I'm a 14 laver (I could probably fit into a 13.5 or maybe even a 13) so if anyone wants to tell me the size comparison I'd appreciate it.
 warm up! I usually just jump right into shredding
 don't forget to stretch, dumbass!
 work out my legs. I just don't think they're strong enough, especially for how tall I am.

hey bro.... sounds like your doing good... we are so similar! heres a few hints on shoes that ive found out:

 dont get climas. they can be GREATfor some people, but we (people with our body type) have problems with it. a) the sole is about 150% the width of a laver.... making us EVEn taller. noticabley so in fact. b) they are a PAIN t mod correctly. c) the sole is also thicker in back then in fornt like this: CCC@@cccc. while his puts you on your toes, (good), it also can lead to EVEN MORE SLOUCHING! AAAHHHH!

 if you remove the insole of a laver, it goes up a size. you can fit into a broken in 13 :D

 the next version of quantums will come in 13s which translates to a 13 and 1/2 laver... with insole removed that = perfect for us. yeah.

 so for now, get laers in 13s or 14s (whatever you can find) or g-units.... theres my 2 or 5 cents.

hows the inifinities coming? i havnt hit 50 yet.... soon

ps alternatng PLO's ftw!!! 9 is good... my record is 11.

Yeah, I know. We're on a really close playing field. Hell, we even sent in the same sick 1 trick for the online comps.

I guess I'm not getting climas. I think I'm going to order unitz from zappos.com, since they have em. I'll try a size 13 in g-units, then if they don't fit I'll either return them or give them to Jake. I'm pretty sure he's a 13. Size 13 quantums'll be cool. I've always wanted to play in quantums.

I'm still on, like, 20 something infinities. I have the number written down somewhere. I haven't really been drilling them that much, but they have been noticably cleaner in my strings, so I bet if I really focus on them I can get that number higher.

I'll write about today's session tomorrow, which apparently 'round here is only an excuse away. My excuse is history homework :(

Here's a poem I wrote for my Creative Writing class. I really like it, and it's probably the best poem I've ever written or ever will write. It's got a nice, but shaky, yet smooth flow to it.

Fish flew freely in the pale green sky.
They do what they please, and lilac lollypops pave the streets,
To the Devil’s home, which is made out of bones, and coated in dark red turpentine.
But my dear, never fear, what your eyes can not hear,
And your stomach can’t stomach,
And you can’t understand.
The toxins of thought are too much for one man,
So clean out your closet, and go wash your hands,
Abuse the abused, and scorn the forlorn,
Never worth knowing,
Tattered and worn.

here's some stuffs I hit yesterday:
 21 mirage>pixie>rpt contacts
 14 atws, bs, alternating direction
 26 pickup>ss pickup>rpt contacts
 12 plo>smear>rpt contacts
 37 contacts of miragex3>legoverx3>rpt
 21 contacts of mirage>legover>rpt

I worked out my legs today, and I'll probably be very sore tomorrow.

Jake and I will probably play after school again tomorrow, since we did the same thing last week when his dad was picking us up. We should also talk to the school people about starting up the Kaneland Footbag Club. KFC :P

I took some videos yesterday to see how I was playing, and I still need to stand up straighter. Set my shoulders back more, and puff out my chest. Not too much though. It'll be easier since I've really started weightlifting more and targeting those areas, but everytime I kick, I need to remember to have good posture.

I'm going to go ahead and buy those size 13 g-units tomorrow. If they don't fit, they're going to Jake and he'll have some real footbag shoes.

Good session today. Jake and I were going to play at school, but we had to drive silly Nick T. home, so we played at the park by my house. I didn't have my records/goals sheet with me, so I didn't really work on anything or remember what I hit, except for two things:
 paradox dada curve, BS
 symposium blur
so yeah, I'm pretty happy.

My posture's really getting there. My arms need work though. And I sometimes slouch on certain moves, like osis.

I ordered 2 pairs of g-units. Two different sizes. One pair left for each at the store. As far as what I'm going to do with the other pair, it really depends on which one fits.

I think I'm going to stick with the size 13 g-units. I'm not completely sure if that's what I'm sticking with, but they seem to fit a lot more snug, without being too restricting. I think my lavers are too big and are causing my current leg pain. If I do go with the size 13's, then I guess Jake can't have the other pair, so it'll be between Janis and Cale who gets them. On one hand, Cale pm'd me first. But on the other hand, Janis seemed more interested in the 14's. But on the other hand, Cale said he didn't care which pair he got, because he could fit into both. And on the same hand Janis does live in a completely different country, and shipping may be a little high. Plus, in the "Mesh G-units" thread, Janis said he just bought a pair, and I don't really know if Cale has any. I don't know yet. Goddamn the power of decision making!!!!

My friend Colin rode his bike to my house today, and we played a little. He can do a couple kicks, as well as an occasional ATW and a legover. I hit a ducking osis, but that's about all I hit. I hit backside blur again, first try :P My clippers are already getting better and a little flatter. I think when I drilled clippers, I used to rotate my hips more and it was in a better location, but when I started drilling infinity I left out the habits I formed from clippers, and did it too much to the side. I pretty much fixed it now though. Osis will still be a challenge, but I can tell they're already getting better.

Jake and I talked to the vice principal Ian Smith today about starting a footbag club at school. He seemed totally down with it. All we need is a 1)charter (I already wrote it during school, because I was so excited about it), and 2) a sponsor, which is basically someone to watch over us and stuff. We already have a name for it: the Kaneland Footbag Club. KFC :P . Our logo would be like the KFC logo, but instead of the Colonel, it'd be like a picture of Vasek, or like Kenny Schultz or something. That'd be cool. I don't know how legal it would be, but whatever. So yeah, all we need is people willing to pay $40, and to play after school everyday. Shouldn't be that hard :)
