Adam Greenwood (slowsis) came to shred with me in oakville yesterday, it was a sick long ass session in my garage.
Adam is a really cool guy and we had a killer time busting and then he stole my insoles so I have de-friended him.
I think my only new trick was inspinning clipper.
Yesterday was my first real session in my new climas, they are sooo different than my other ones! I have to remember to catch the bag in a slightly different spot on both my toes and clippers which is really frustrating since it is forcing me to change other things around too. I have had to re-learn pixies which sucks. I have tiny sidewalls on my new climas which is a change from my sidewall free old ones and my lavers. I think this will force me to play cleaner and more controlled.. it's coming along.
We filmed for a while yesterday and I am going to go edit that into a movie... NOW!

I have become obsessed with footbag in my life.
I have subconsciously become very concerned about doing everything bothsided now. In fact, the other day when I jumped up to my feet from laying on my back my brain's first thought was 'try it on the other side' and for a second it puzzled at the paradox of having another side to something that is symmetric about my center line.
I noticed my left arm is very slightly less muscular than my right, I suppose this is from years of my right arm doing a little bit more work than the left all of the time. I have been making an effort to carry groceries with my left arm and I attempt to do finer things such as eating and so on with my left hand.
I was honing my balance yesterday balancing a broom on my left toe as opposed to my traditional right, I am drilling my flipside.
Today I put something in the dishwasher and to close it I toe set it up and closed. This got me thinking that I could probably get a dex over the corner uptime and still get it closed. I fairy set over the left corner of my dishwasher door to close it with my right foot and then once with my left foot. It was exhilerating.
Does anyone want to go bothsided bowling with me?

About a year ago I started shaking the orange juice carton with my left hand.

I have toe stalled a tape-gun(from a factory), and a tape measure. but we all know that we try to toe stall anything that drops near us....like steak knives 
(only those with the fastest reflexes still have all their toes!!)
and Tom I do try everything both sides, like steering my car and shifting gears BS(steering with my right hand and shifting with my left), opening the fridge with my left hand was my first try at swiching it up. but i'm ambidextrious(sp?)((greek for two right hands I beleive)) so thinks like hockey, baseball, and especially golf are more interesting left and right handed. try using your computer mouse with your opposite hand! the buttons will be the hard part

I tried brushing my teeth by moving my head instead of my hands. I got a major bruise on my lip that looks like I have motuh herpes. Pics to come laterAbout a year ago I started shaking the orange juice carton with my left hand.

i have toe stalled lots of things and saved them from falling and breaking, or of me haveing to bend over and pick what ever it was up... the doors on fredgs and of any thing actualy i used my feet and do spinds and stuff and use both feet and bounce the door back and forth while im pooring my glass of milk 
some times when im working and im undersomething and i need some kinda hand tool i ask my friends to just put it on my toe and i bring my leg under and kinda set the tool up to my hand, i have gotten pretty good at keeping almost any thing steedy on my foot
we are all freaks !!! bc of us are childrens childrens childrens DNA will have are talents in it and make Supper shreder beaings! kinda like evolving in to the next shred revolution!

I DID noice that whatever I DO it's relatively footbag related. Like when things drop, you guys try to stall it to save its ass. It didn't work out too well with my friend's cellphone. However, the way my room is set up, I'm strpped for space and a lot of things are both in front of my face and on my bottom so I have to use my feet for other purposes. I.E, my radio's on my left foot so my left foot controls may radio, volume, etc. My modem's on my right which forces me to have to reset it on my right....i don't know... maybe it's just me...
But I should do thing like that more often...

I dont know if any of you have ever eaten those little swedish fish candies but last night I had a whole bag of them and I stalled one on my right and one on my left and then flicked it up and snatched it in my mouth...so then I did it from insides and the from clippers.
It was the best day of my life.
And about stalling other things I can stall my IPOD (mini) over and over. Just like up down up down and still listen to it at the same time.

Chilly Philly
Chilly Philly turned out to be a great big exciting event that lasted from the 30th of December right through to noon yesterday.
My route was as follows:
- freak out and get all angry when I miss my train to Toronto to connect to my other train to Kingston
- my dad saved the day and drove me to Toronto to make my train in time
- I ran into my friend Jesse, we sat down and chatted and my train left
- I caught the later train to Kingston and met up with Ryan Seath and Jorden Moir in Kingston
- We stayed the night in Kingston, shredded till the wee hours of the night
- We took off for Philly at around 9AM
- A handfull of hours later we were in Philly fighting to make sense of Josh's directions (which did NOT actually work!)
- Eventually found the hotel, which is where my story begins
I think I can cover the most bases if I just do it in point form. I am never allowed to use point form on exams so this is a treat for me. I am going to go in the order I remember the things in.
- Jon Schneider was the first pro I saw, which was also the case at worlds
- The WV crew: I got to hang out with them way more than I did at worlds. As it turns out all three are totally awesomer than I realised. I got to dine with Brad, 7-11 with Bob and shred with John. Speaking of which, John Mahood is now my style mentor. He puts together the most stylish shit ever! It seemed like he was either hitting tricks I hit or the ones that I wanted to hit because they looked really cool except I don't hit them because I am way less good.
- Joe Kulacz is one of my favorite people ever! I made a footbag for him on the drive up since he said he would give me a footbag shirt he had. He is so hilarious and his style of humor really fucks with you. You can't tell if he is joking some of the time and his sly half smile just confuses the crap out of you when you are trying to figure it out. Oh yeah! and he does what I do, he lies needlessly because it's funny! like how he had me believing for a second that he spent years as some kind of tradesman (like a welder or something) in his past until I remembered that he was 14. Frigging kid! He said he wasn't playing very well and I know how that can get a player down but he managed to stay positive the whole time I saw him. Joe Kulacz rules!! Oh yeah, and he beat me to hitting blizzard>dlo and I got Skulaczed.
- Apparently EVERYONE beatboxes now, I'm serious. Beatboxing was ubiquitous in Philly. I guess I better jump on the bandwagon now too.
- Also, all the cool kids can 3-ball juggle, I now carry THREE footbags with me at all times so I can learn too.
- There are WAY more black people in Philly than anywhere else I have ever been.
- I was the only guy wearing Laver alternatives, I think
- Jorden Moir invented two tricks in my apartment the night before CP
- It felt really good getting such lavish props from David Clavens about the progress I have made on my style. I have been busting my ass every day and honestly just hearing 'nice' from anyone after hitting anything is more than enough reward for all the hard work.
- David Clavens got really good again, he has such a tight style. After worlds I kinda felt not cool enough for him, I didn't get that impression in Philly, everyone was nice to everyone there. That kinda bummed me out this summer actually, I felt out of the footbag community loop, ahh well.
- Steve Goldberg told me I remind him alot of Alex Zerbe back in the day. I don't really know much about Alex, but from what people have told me being compared to him isn't a bad thing.
- I got to hang out with Ales a bunch! I think he and I are 'friends' now! He has gotten SO huge!! like.. picture old Ales and how muscular he was.. and then double it. He kicks his thighs sometimes and his huge bicepts interfere sometimes, he says his size makes long runs hard. When he decided to go for a long run he usually put down something mind blowing with lots of tripples and mass insanity. I asked him for double down tips too, it made sense since he is the master, he had some really helpful things to say. I really like Ales, he is crazy and really funny.
- I think in general I am amazed how un-intimidating this event was. Or maybe it's just how the footbag community is, I didn't feel uncomfortable trying things out in front of people and I never felt like people were judging me.
- When Peter Irish arrived I went and said hi to him and I was overwhelmed by his reaction! We shook hands and hugged and he remembered my name! WHOA! I think Peter Irish is my life mentor, he's the man, the king, the legend, the Executioner.
- Bob Glasser is really funny and I owe him ten dollars, I really hope he doesn't think I tried to rip him off, I intend on paying him back.
- I shared a room with the Rochester crew, they have all improved. Chris Dean (Christine) has made such huge leaps in his progression. I was really inspired that he competed in open, I think several "Intermediate" competitors were sandbagging HEAVY. (I am looking sternly at the top several in intermediate right now) Also in my room were Tim Werner and Emily Kulczyk (and mike hansen for a night). Before coming to CP I had PM-ed emily informing her that we may have some spare room for her to crash since she was in need. I don't remember why but I told her I would make her a bag. I met her at worlds and I totally remembered her and her name and everything but what I didn't realize until we were sitting in our room and she asked about the bag I made for her was that the Emily I met at worlds and the Emily named Moxie on modified were the same girl!! I hadn't realized until right then that they were not two people! Emily, as it turns out, is totally awesome too! I didn't talk much with her at world's and I regret it now because that was a week of missed fun! She's a really cool girl I look forward to seeing again. Also, I am really glad I got to meet tim, I felt like we got along well.
- Jorden THE FUCKING DESTROYER Moir was BY FAR the most impressive shredder there, I think everyone was blown away by him. He threw down the hardest in all the circles and consistently busted consistently. I want to start a petition to have his BAP name changed from the warden to THE DESTROYER since he DESTROYED basically every BAP member he shredded with. He earned his name big time.
- Ryan Seath was playing really well and it was really impressive. My most lasting memories of shredding with him come from my last circle at the tourny. It was him, me, KENNY SHULTS (who I fiiiiiiiinally met and shredded with), Yacine and Ales for a bit. He was throwing out really consistent shuffle and he seemed 'on'. Ryan is one of the best friends I have made via footbag, I really enjoy his company.
- On the topic of Ryans, Ryan Thomass showed up with Pete! At first I saw him out of the corner of my eye and someone called him Ryan, I thought he was Mulroney at first. A few seconds later I figured out I was stupid and said hi to him. Ryan Thomass kicks ass so hard. He is really funny and he always seems to be smiling.
- Zach Hoffa doesn't talk with typo's! I was shocked to hear he talked TOTALLY fine! No accent, no problems, and he can shred too! I was happy to see that it was clear he had been practicing and that he really did love footbag as much as me.
- Back to Kenny, I met kenny!!!!! yaaayyY!! I got props from kenny! I gave props to kenny! there needs to be a fainting emoticon, I would use that now.
- After the tourny we drove up to rochester to grab some stuff I left in Matt Cross' car and then we looped around the lake, dropped Jorden off and headed home to my house in Oakville. The next day at noon Ryan took off and Chilly Philly was finally over.

I forgot lots of stuff!
- Felix Zenger was there! He's so awesome! He is AMAZING at footbag, it looks so simple and flawless when he shreds, truely incredible. He's a really nice guy too, we had been chatting a bunch online before CP and it was cool to meet him properly. I also got a custom cow/dark blue footbag made by him!
- The breakfast place we went to each day (Cereality) kicks ass!!! its a custom cereal bar!! you make crazy cereals and parfaits as per your order, what a concept! It was laid out like a big kitchen too, and everyone was just sorta eating around a really big countertop.
- Emily got leid several times in one night by a bunch of us guys! *highfive!*
- Josh Benham is really nice and he has a funny accent
- The subway we shredded in was SO nasty/awesome
- It was so cool to see brad nelson try blazing torque on matt's command
- I had alot of fun hanging out with Matt Cross as usual, he's totally awesome. However I have never met a more delicate flower in my life than this dude. Either the room is piping hot or frigid cold, whatever it may be it has to be compensated for gravely. Also, I don't think he finished a single thing he ordered because they all sucked ass in his opinion. Haha, what a guy, he really knows what he likes! He got a big blister from his new lavers and that put a big damper on his shred sadly. I did get to stab a needle into his heel to drain him however!
- Each time someone did well in the shred30 it was SO exciting and I cheered so hard!
- 4 square is intense when played with other shredders! I got schooled big time. Felix has some sick frigidosis fakeout moves that work well, add to that he is also good at all the cheap moves like firing it into your balls.
- A highlight for me was beatboxing while Bob Glasser sang along. Also, Ryan Seath, Jorden and myself had some sick 3-way beatboxing going on in the car ride up. The car ride up was really fun.
- The next footbag tourny I go to I vow to go rich! I hated being so stressed out owing so many people different amounts of money because I couldn't get access to my own money. I felt like such a fucking leech! Also it never feels good always having to ask people for stuff and having them breathing down your neck for it back. I think I owe a bunch of people money, I am so bad with that shit. If I owe you money, I am sorry, I will pay you back. Just PM me and I will sort it out. I give mean head.
- The hotel was really fancy, perhaps a little too fancy. I would have been more happy with a piece of crap 2-star place that cost way less. I bet they would have let us shred in a shittier place too.
- Matt and I ran into this drunk party couple that needed papers to roll with, Matt said he could offer them a bowl to use and they accepted. We eventually wound up 'partying' with them up in their hotel room for a bit. Of course being us we couldn't help but going overboard and we gave a full footbag demo, I tossed out some tiltless shred in my pants and blew their minds. hahah I love partying with matt, he's really smart and smooth. I try to absorb all I can while I am around him, he has some good ideas.
Oh yeah and to quote Nick Laroche "Matt is like on the guitar". There has ne'er been a more true statement. Matt melted my mind with his guitar skills. You all must see him tickle the strings, but ladies be warned, there is a reason they call him Matt "the Supersoaker" Cross.
- Felix Zenger was there! He's so awesome! He is AMAZING at footbag, it looks so simple and flawless when he shreds, truely incredible. He's a really nice guy too, we had been chatting a bunch online before CP and it was cool to meet him properly. I also got a custom cow/dark blue footbag made by him!
- The breakfast place we went to each day (Cereality) kicks ass!!! its a custom cereal bar!! you make crazy cereals and parfaits as per your order, what a concept! It was laid out like a big kitchen too, and everyone was just sorta eating around a really big countertop.

- Josh Benham is really nice and he has a funny accent
- The subway we shredded in was SO nasty/awesome
- It was so cool to see brad nelson try blazing torque on matt's command
- I had alot of fun hanging out with Matt Cross as usual, he's totally awesome. However I have never met a more delicate flower in my life than this dude. Either the room is piping hot or frigid cold, whatever it may be it has to be compensated for gravely.
Also, I don't think he finished a single thing he ordered because they all sucked ass in his opinion. Haha, what a guy, he really knows what he likes! He got a big blister from his new lavers and that put a big damper on his shred sadly. I did get to stab a needle into his heel to drain him however!- Each time someone did well in the shred30 it was SO exciting and I cheered so hard!

Ahh tom I can never seem to stop reading your blog when I'm at work. Alex zerbe is a cool guy to be compared to. He is a real fun character everytime he comes and visits us. He is even shredding again!
