Bea is (as all of the Munich (and Landshut) crew) coming to Prague :)
She's also thinking about competing with a routine. I guess she will be really lucky if she can play with you!

Max, Phillipp told me that you hit a shooting set. Tell me it's not true
and he mistook it for something else. Please.

hahaha ! shooting ? i thought it was levitating...

anyway, monday was a good one.
i wasnt able to play, too much flu, wodka and hard work,
so i was really looking forward to shred after 8 days of
total footbag absence.

drilling went well, i did 123 alt toes, 26 insides, enuff mirages,
6 illusions on both sides, 10 clipper on my flip ( yeeaah, nu world rec ! )
mirage>legover rpt 9 times ( i'm rick james, bitch !!!) and 8 alt ducking/diving ect tricks .

As for trix, there was nothing really nu, but i hit bs smear, pixie illusion
and pdx illusion...rev swirl is still getting on my nerves, kna i mean ?

Bea and me drilled basics together, stopping with ducking clipper
bsos for both of us .
Then i hit ducking clipper to gyro toe ! felt intenese but it was shaky
like butts in Rio on Carnaval.
At that time Mike joined in, after seshin wit Max and Philip.
We both hit ducking mirage, and Mike hit assasin 8O he hasnt tried
it ever and got it in no more then two tries . bastard.
and when we tried fairy sets, he hit fairy butter just like that. more bastard.
Oh yeah, Mike also hit datw out to in style for the first time...

Then Ms Hunter worked on ducking butters, and like the d. clip she
hit it on both sides with no great effort.
i almost hit pixie ducking spinning toe and had a couple of decent
assasin attempts, but it wasnt their time yet...
Since it was pixie duck season, she could resist the phoenix' call and
just before Bea was off to insanity, i said "just hit, allright !
we always encourage eachother in a rough german schoolteacher
style when one is about to give up . And it worked!!!

BEA HIT PHOENIX :D :D :D
there was a short and intense moment
of silence, then a huge wave of hysterical appreciation
and utter excitement that almost swept us away.

it was like drugs, people, but better. shock, happiness, satisfaction.

Bea finally hit pixie ducking butterfly, as it was her desire ever since .

Its strange to explain, but i was so grateful and glad to be there...
well no one could do any trick for a bit after all this madness and just
when i recovered a bit , she hit it again, just on the other side this time
WOOOT !?! 8O she is just unbelieveble. word

Yo back to normality. We got a circle going with everybody involved,
and with a few execepions our strings were pretty mediocre, in lenght
and content. It will still take a while until 15 contacts are standart for me,
and of course, solid basics are key.
At the end of our shred, when the Hunters had left and Philip got bored
or tired, i'm still not sure which , Mike and me challenged each other
for some combos : smear>mirage>symp mirage and pixie same clippper
to mirage>smear. and i finally managed to hit illusion>duck toe>illusion>
zulu toe

I feel like progressing again. i know my weaknesses and how to correct them. i cant wait to meet you all at todexon.
GO FOOTBAG

Bjoern is was "trying" Sailing set, but just 3 or 4 times for fun :) I have no idea how to move my feet by that set. And it's not important. My goal is to make my stepping set solid. Will you play next week? Mike and Phillip said they will be in the gym again.

Ok I will coming to Bavaria at Sunday - so I will come to your training on Monday ( after my research on your site!) - As i mentioned in my blog I am really stoked to shred with your crew .

I do not know how much time we ( my girlfriend and me) will stay in Munich but it would be nice to get a floor for one night if it won't be too difficult for one of you.

btw is ebo already activated?

Yeah ! DoctorJay is comming to shred with us !

Until tuesday morning, i always wondered how a lot of people seem to
have limitless time for shredding. The morning after the gym shred,
Mike suggested a wake up session, and although we only played
for 30 min in my cold ass, narrow, no good hallway, it was good fun :)

Its just a matter of motivation and organization, i guess, cause since
i had my equippment on me that day anyway, there was more shred
at work during break.
it wasnt too cold, so i took it outside and i got carried away a little and
i went into the store, shorts and all, its snowing like mad, to give all
these coat wearing customers and my colleagues a demonstration.

Same thing happened again today, and i hit clipper>mirage>legover>
smear>legover>illusion>zulu toe>illusion>mirage>ducking toe>legover> plo>unsucsessful symp mirage !

I realized that i can progress and have more fun so easily by just trying to establish short daily sessions...
Waiting for the last train was kinda boring, so i took my jeans off at this
underground station, and stringed nice tiltlessness in black shred shorts:

clipper>mirage>symp mir>legover>symp mir>diving toe>legover>
mirage>smear>ducking toe>illusion

Hopefully i can muster the same hunger and continuity more often,
its such a good feeling to play loads...and i've also heard that you
get better at a faster rate the more you practice

He Jochen that's very cool that you come to Munich! Cause of a place to crash you have to ask Bjoern. Btw. from where do you fly to Finland, with wich line and how much do you pay? Just wondering :)

I cannot visit Bavaria for the mentioned week - I have to postpone the trip ( long story ) but as promised I try to visit Munich for a shred.
The next possible date for my trip is the 25-02-05 to 01-03-05. Moreover on 02-03-05 my toe surgery will be so if i can't make the trip to Bavaria before 02-03-05 I won't visit Munich.
The chance to visit Bavaria is around 80 % - and then it is 100% sure that I will come down to Munich.

My flight is from Cologne Bonn to Helsinki at 23-07-05 11:35
Helsinki to Cologne Bonn at 02-08-05 15:40

the price was 155 Euros for both ways.

Heeeeyaa ! Welcome on board, sir !

I'm so looking forward for a big shred with all y'all :D
Last week, i had many fun and rewardin solo sessions and i managed to
play in the weirdest places for one hr a day at least.
Following Ken's advice, i focused on long tiltless runs and i also went
for combos, that i usually avoid, so that i can string all my little 2's
and 3's in whatever combination someday, increasing stamina and also variety .
And it works : on a very base level i stopped to have a flipside and i've
gotten a little more faster and confident...
But my main problems remained : a unreliable flip pixie and weak butters,
so guess, what i will drill tomorrow...

and i had my first tiltless robot style run these days :
clip>mirage>legover>clip>mirage>mirage>symp mirage>legover>symp mirage nothing major, but it felt great for sure

see ya 2morrow

22. Febuary 2005
Monday was as cool as always. There were Beatrice, Bjoern, Mike, Dary, Philip, two new guys wich names I cannot remember right now and me ;)
First we kicked all together in a big circle but that just doesn't work for me. I must complete my full warm up program, otherwise my runs suck! So I did
20 Inside stalls
20 Legovers
20 Pickups
10 Mirages (bs)
8 Illiusions (bs)
20 clipper
20 alterning cliper
4 ss butterflies (bs)
22 Infinities new record :P
Cliper > Osis rept.
Osis > Butterfly rept.
Pixie > Handcatch (bs)
PLO, Magellan, Smear, Dimwalk (all bs)
Stepping > handcatch (bs)
Whirls (bs)

That's pretty much everthing to get me started. I really need to do that before every session. I was also quite pleased with my runs (ok I'm happy everytime I hit Ripwalk in a run ;)).
Note: drill pixie set again!!!

I can't really tell what the others did since so much was going on. It was great that Bjoern was back playing again, but we won't be there next week :(
Mike with Fear and Philip was very clsoe to Ripwalk and hit Swirl > Whirl.

Now it's your turn Daryl!!! :)

well, it was a wicked sweet session, even tho i felt like death, since
my stomach was all fucked up these days.

altough i like the fact, that we had so many players the other day,
i had the same feeling to the circle like max, so i went through my
program aswell, some times alone sometimes with bea, mike or bjoern.

i hit :
53 insides
atw in>atw out rpt 3 times (bs)
mirages : 15 was the goal but i didnt manage :
14 strong side and 3 times 13 on my flip.
7 alt pick ups ( more then ever, but still far to few....)
illusions : 10 and 14 on my flip ( the last few were pretty the, i reckon )
17 contacts of mirage>legover
12 contacts of clip>mirage>legover
12 contacts of clip>far legover>legover
9 clipper each side
5 cons. zulu toe
8 cons ducking toe tricks : duck>zulu>dive>weave>zulu>dive>weave>duck
ducking clipper bsos
neglected : pixie ducking, pixie spinning, BOPand whirls :x

mike helped me to find the weakness of my flip pixie, which lead to
utter delight and many over excited "thank u's" and my first new
trick in ages : (flip) pixie pick up ! i guess i've only hit it once before,
that was last fall and from da good side.
mike himself hit fairy smasher for a first time and fairy butter again, the
motion looked even better than last sess.

what can i say ? i've been a good boy drilling wise and i got rewarded :
two 17 contact tiltless runs with some decent bsos stuff and occasional
3 adds thrown in...cant recall the exact sequence of the moves, but who
cares ; long runs are the best feeling in freestyle (@the moment)
and i finally managed these :
clip set DLO and my beloved GYRO MIRAGE :D

The best session so far ?
YES !!!
Thanx to everybody for encouragement, critiques and tips !
pls excuse this very selfcentered post, but it was a very self centered session at times

Yo Daryl!
It's been a while I've not posted here, but I keep reading it pretty often...
It seems you're improving good!!! You looks VERY serious with your exercices and consecutives... that's the way.. that's what I should do, or what I should have done... It seems you're having all basics both sides! I'm almost jealous...

I would suggest you to start learning Drifter and Torques... and Ripwalks!!!
Something else... forget about toe set duck and dives... work on the clippers set... they are soooo much stylish...

Btw, you're on the really good way!

Can't wait to kick with you!

Peace.

thanx for the compliments, mec
but i like your hints at ducking from a clipper set even more,
its so true, ducks/dives from clipper are so much cooler !
Clippers, the root of all progress ? Maby, cuz if i would work more on them,
butterflies, osis, stepping and ducking of course would be so much easier,
Max also wants to see a ripwalk soon
I'll definitly try to get a stronger clipper, so i can try all these things :D
Maby you can show me how to do drifters in Praha ? that would be more
than nice..! Btw, bring some extra bags, people in my team are crazy about them :D :D :D
thanx 4 everything and i love this game and everybody and everything involved !

hee Daryl I hope you don't loose your intrest in Footbag too soon! Cause your enthusiasm is so encouraging :)
Anyway good to hear that you are in Frankfurt too!

23. Febuary 2005
I think I had one of my best solo sessions ever. I joined the juggler group at the ZHS (university sports club) and just started to work my bag. There were some guy who also play in the gym on monday. And I even met one of my teachers =) I hit Atomic Osis but only one one side, Ripwalk > Pdx Whirl (bs), Ripwalk > Blur (bs) My stepping slowly gets better.
What I forgot to write about monday; I hit Gyro Mirage back then.
Ok my g/f and I are starting up to Frankfurt tomorrow morning, so see you there.

Oh yeah, the session last monday.

'twas my first session for 13 weeks (!).
My ankles were still hurting a bit, so I didn't do much clippers moves
and went back to basics, with lots of easy 2-add toe drills to get back
in the game. I've lost so much stamina during the break, I really
have to catch up on that one.
I did have one run with weaving butter and weaving clipper though.
But I'm so fucking onesided. Seeing Bea+Max progressing is incredible,
because they are so consistent on both sides.

So much to do.

28. February 2005

Monday Gym Session.

Players:
Max
Daryl
Bjoern
+6 new recruits!

I was stoked to see so many new faces when I came into the gym.
All of them were very eager to practice, and a couple of them were
pretty hyped when we taught them their first mirage.
Daryl's runs are almost as long as his posts now ;), Max is getting
more and more consistent, and I'm thinking of making a button for
Todexon: "Fuck BAP, Fuck Adds, Fuck Both-Sidedness" (just because
I'm still so onesided  But I'm working on it.)

New moves:
Outside Pixie Butterfly
Outside Pixie ss Mirage

I'm able to do clipper moves again, and my ankles hurt less. Butterflies
are still giving me troubles, but my full flexibility should be back soon,
I hope. Meanwhile, I'm working on my flip pixie set.

I managed to get a Pigbeater on video, and I think it was clean.
Charles, in case you're reading this, again I hit it with one of your bags,
'Claire' :) Can't wait to shred with you at Todexon!

Bea was ill, so no mad shred from her today.

Yeah Bjoern! Props for Pigbeatter!!!
I don't know if Claire has a big responsability for this...but if you say so..
I guess your legs and work are more involved in it, but Btw it's cool to make her do nice tricks like that!! (I've never hit pigbeatter... eagbeatter neither.. )

18 days left!! Can't wait neither...

See ya!
